My small moment of fame when working in such a wonderful place chan's East ham met loads of wonderful people and made a few a friends and reunited with a few superb food and value for money enjoyed my 11 years there always in my heart 🤧❤️👊
Thank you Robbie. After I posted the above question I looked more closely at the video and did a bit of googleing. I did get that it was a Leica but the exact model is a mystery. I think it's an M6 film but all the pictures I can find show 1 sync socket on the back and the one in the film has two. Maybe they do a special Bailey version for a zillion pounds.
There is something so honest about him. Wish I had him as a teacher when I studied photography.

It's actually in Manor Park (E12), but just down the road.
"You don't interview Bailey, you witness his stream of conscience"!!
David Bailey. Cantankerous old git. I love him.
Now 80 years old, born the same day as Ian Brady, January 2, 1938. David Bailey famous for photographs of the Krays.
@@hjp1hjp22 the krays were unheard of outside london until bailey photographed them. It was Bailey who made the krays!
Great interview!
WONDERFUL
'Instinctual' fab title for his next book.
Love him
He was cantankerous at 25!
David Bailey…who’s he. He’s The Man.
Anyone know what camera he's using?

Just a Leica M4-P. Mr David Bailey is a photographer and no snob, so he will never buy a customized camera.
Robert Bailey it's not the camera! F**k the camera - it's never the camera it's the person behind it!
Yup-he uses a Pentax.
It's not the camera it's the bloody shot
It's the photographer, not the gear.
You can't call it art photography, but you can call them gambling casinos ;)
