Gotta say, I love your channel. I’ve been a Cowboys fan back to the Don Meredith days. The way you dig through the teams/players stats and then present them in a fun and interesting way, just want to say glad to have you on our side.
Great excellent Dallas Cowboys Every one who is a old old old school Cowboy die hard fan we know hall of fame forever go cowboys cowboys rolling down the with a super bowl victory 🎉🎉
To me Harvey Martin is the biggest snub, the only players of the all decade team (1970's) not in HOF, his 1977 season might be the greatest season by any player ever imo. Great stuff as always.
Man, I love you videos and the information you provide. So thorough, Jerry needs to hire you! I don't know if anyone provides the information that you do. Bravo!
I'm not surprised these GREAT players aren't in the HOF. I think it has to do with a deep dislike for the brand, together with unhealthy doze of envy of "America's team". LC thank you so much for this unexpected Christmas treat. Have a wonderful Merry Christmas surrounded by your loved ones and a healthy and prosperous new year. 🎄🎉🎊
Dallas isn't the only team to have players snubbed. Off the top of my head, I can think of two players, Randall Cunningham (briefly a Cowboy) and Roger Craig that belong in the Hall of Fame. I do think the entire 90s Cowboys offensive line belongs in the Hall for carrying the triplets to the Super Bowl.
I think this is the best channel on TH-cam…and yes absolutely agree . With exception of Jordan I watched all these guys play and they all belong in HOF.
I feel bad about having nothing unique or smart to say but GREAT VIDEO!!!!! once again! i can't argue with the list and I'm happy to say I watched all those guys play as a child/teen ager and young adult. Everson Walls is way overdue, and I remember how happy I was for him when the Giants won that Super Bowl. Hopefully Woodson will get in this year. Jerry needs to at least get Charlie Waters into the ROH just on his post season deeds alone. Waters has more post season starts in his career than Jerry has post season appearances in twenty five years....
Great list, arguments, and presentation. I especially agree strongly with #1 and #2. Those should be the top priorities for Dallas HoF induction, Jordan senior and Woodson modern. Other legitimate candidates include George Andrie, Cornell Green, Don Perkins, John Niland, Ralph Neely, Herschel Walker (unique case focusing on APY), Mark Stepnoski, Erik Williams, Nate Newton, and Jay Novacek. Your top 5 list is solid though.
Yes, that is a great list. Dallas would dominate the HOF if all was fair. Everyone of the guy you mention were better players and in more big games than many current HOFers.
I'm not a Dallas Cowboys fan. I do remember those 5 great players that have been snubbed. All through the 1970's I was a Minnesota Vikings fan. Well actually I really liked to watch Fran Tarkenton's creative will to make inspired drives to the end zone. So that lets you know that every time the Cowboys eliminated the Vikings in the playoffs... I had a bad day. Because of those great Dallas Cowboys players, those tremendous efforts for a trip to the Superbowl made watching them a pleasure. Those 5 great Dallas Cowboys players really do deserve to be in the NFL Hall of Fame.
SF 49ers running back Roger Craig is the biggest snub ever! Three time Super Bowl Champion, the first RB with 1,000 yards rushing and receiving, all decade team of the 1980s, two time All Pro, 4 time Pro Bowler, 1988 OPOY!
I totally agree on your selections. In the 1970s and 1990s Dallas's back ups could start for most other NFL teams.Wishing you a very merry Christmas 🎅🎄and a happy New Year.
True. Look at Jimmy Smith in the early 90s for proof. Barely plays for Dallas, mostly special teams, then makes 5 Pro Bowls with the Jaguars. Announcers called Randy Hughes, the Cowboys backup S in the late 70s, the 3rd best safety in the NFL, behind starting Cowboys Harris and Waters.
Fantastic list. I got to watch Too-Tall, Bates, and Woodson. Jones was really special though -- the only line-backer who could be completely held back and still make the play with his height and those big paws. Just awesome.
Man this is a GREAT VIDEO! I met Harvey Martin when i was a little boy in the children's hospital. I instantly became a Cowboys fan ever since. Its a damn shame none of these great players are not even in the Ring of Honor as well as the Hall of Fame.
Man I'm old timer I became a cowboy fan when I saw Roger throw a football ( all my friends were Steelers fans) but my fav cowboy of all time is Walls I saw him flip over the back of a wr running curl and make the int it was the most amazing play I ever saw to include obj's one handed catch
I definitely agree with you 100 % about this list. I'm deeply surprised that Leroy Jordan is not in the Hall Of Fame. I do believe that this year will be the year for Darren Woodson though. He should have been in over 20 years ago! Every single player on this list needs to be voted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame immediately!
Thank you for this great video! I was an NFL and especially a Cowboys fanatic from 1976 to 1981 then just pretty much dropped off. But I will never forget the feeling of hearing Pat Summerall calling a Cowboys game on a Sunday afternoon. Some of the best memories of my childhood. And Harvey was my favorite player. Watching him harass QBs and RBs was pure bliss. For me Harvey stood out which was to say a lot considering teammates like Staubach, Dorsett, Drew, Randy, Hollywood, Cliff and Charlie. And FK the Cowboys franchise for omitting Harvey and Ed and Everson from the ROH. Embarrassing. Sorry to end on a downer but that’s just ridiculous. Thx again!
Somehow, I missed this video 5 months ago. I totally agree with all of these snubbed HOF players. Top of the list Too Tall Jones. I watched film where Too Tall deflected passes and resulted in defensive TDs by Jeffcoat against the Giants and the Rams (I think). All of these players bring a warm feeling to my heart as part of my SE Texas upbringing and my Dad's undying love for the Dallas Cowboys, which inevitably, I share to this day. I sincerely hope that one day we will be able to overcome the decades long curse that has pervaded our Cowboys from reaching that ultimate pinnacle of Super Bowl Champion, even though it seems not to be such a great achievement in this sad modern day. I won't go on about that, and I praise the motivation of today's athletes in their quest for greatness. Keep it up people, keep striving to be the best. We have seen what a whole team of the best can accomplish. Even as a Dallas Cowboy!!!
Great list. Totally agree. Jones, Jordan, and Walls were all major reasons why the Cowboys Defense was known as the Doomsday Defense in the late 70's and early 80's. And Darren Woodson was just on another level as a DB. It seems like nowadays, a great NFL player becoming a HOF nominee is more of a popularity contest than it is about their statistics and their dominating game play. If course, that's just my personal opinion. One last thing.... HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!
I really thought Leeroy Jordan was a HOF’er. They finally let Chuck Howley in, to bad his condition prevented him to attend. These 5 need to be considered, no bias, just true stats show how great they were to the game
They finally put they original 54 Chuck Howley in and the original 88 Drew Pearson in and about time. I agree with your list, but like you said, those other players are deserving as well. Crazy how disrespected Cowboys players are when it comes to the HOF.
Absolutely correct on those five!!! There should be a great deal more than those as well. My dad worked for the Cowboys as the visiting team clubhouse manager from 1961-1996 and we have seen some players in our lifetime. The Cowboys have long been a non favorite of the hall of fame voters who prefer brown nosers like howie long and many others.
Great list. I agree with all 5, I would rate Woody and Harvey as my top two but all are worthy. I started watching the Cowboys as Jordan was retiring. I knew he was good but had no idea he had that many interceptions.
It's a shame. Those men were top notch players of many exciting games. Players who didn't celebrated in the in zone like players of today. They earned and deserved a place in the Hall of Fame.
I had no idea Woodson wasn't in the Hall. I didn't know who Martin was due to my age, but Woodson was the best secondary player in the league for several years; including Sanders. Teams were able to game Sanders. No team ever gamed Woodson.
I agree with that list. I believe Jay Novacek, Darryl the Moose Johnson, Nate Newton, Erik Williams, Mark Tuina, and Mark Stepnoski were also snubbed from the HOF. Why only one offensive lineman from what is considered the greatest O-line of all time was inducted into the HOF is beyond my comprehension. I was about to say that there was a bias against the Dallas Cowboys but then I reviewed the top teams with the most HOF inductees. The Dallas Cowboys are in a 3 way tie for 3rd place all time with 32 players in the HOF. Just shy of the Packers at 33 and the Bears at 37. In light of this information it's hard to make such a case considering that the Packers and Bears have been around since the birth of the NFL and the Cowboys have been around since 1960. The two teams tied with the Dallas Cowboys are the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. They also have been in the NFL way longer than the Cowboys. So it's rather impressive for the Cowboys to be that competitive with teams who have been around for a much longer time period.
About half those players primarily played for other teams. There was a strong anti-Cowboys bias in HoF voting from around 1980 through the mid 2000s. Until 2006 Dallas only had 5(!) primary players in the HoF. But it's true that a good amount of Cowboys have been inducted in recent years, making up a lot of lost ground. The Cowboys should have more in the HoF than other teams because they've been more successful and have more great players than other teams. So, while I don't think the current snubs are travesties yet the way Howley's, Pearson's, and Harris' exclusions were, as long as the top guys on this list are inducted eventually, it's likely that without the bias some like Jordan or Woodson would already be in.
This sort of points out what I already suspected. The HOF is really more a popularity contest, and conversely there are some guys in the Hall who don't belong there.
Honestly, I thought Too Tall and Harvey Martin were already in the HOF. Can’t believe they’re not! Darren Woodson and Walls should of been first ballot.
You can easily make a case for every one of these guys especially Too Tall and Everson Walls. The thing I used to think of when Walls was in his first two years was how did all the other teams that drafted ahead of us pass on him? It was like with Larry Allen in that if people had known how good he was going to be both of them might have been the overall #1 pick.
back then Dallas did a very good job of drafting players from small unknown colleges. Gil Brandt is the grandfather of modern day scouting. Ed Jones and Everson Walls both went to HBCUs. Brandt was a forward thinker in the 60s and 70s. scouting at black colleges. so if the other teams weren't sending scouts to HBCUs then they probably didn't thing these guys were going to be good. Larry Allen went to a college that doesn't even have a football team anymore. Sonoma St. We would call Allen Walls and Jones diamonds in the rough. But the schools and people who watched them play already knew these guys were destined to be special players.
Great list. Too Tall didn’t get tons of sacks, which probably hurt him, but b disrupted passing lanes better than anyone. Also played the run better than most ends.
Harvey Martin ABSOLUTELY belongs in the Hall of Fame ! 1977 NFL Defensive Player of the year ! ( How many Cowboys ever won that award ? Answer 0 ). CO MVP of Super Bowl XII , All Decade Team of the 70’s ! SERIOUSLY!! 🤷🏽♂️
I did not know Jordan held the interception record for a linebacker. I just thought he earned it for being the best hard-hitting and mentally tough linebacker of his time.
I’m so glad I double checked on Woodson. Knew he was an awesome player, had him confused with another Darren. I hope I’m the only idiot who made this mistake and also people correct themselves with a google check. Woodson should be in the hall for sure.
Iam asking all hall of fame voters to put this group of Dallas cowboy players in the hall of fame. It is because of these players why the game is play the way the game is play today. They change the not only for their team but for the NFL.
@troyc4250 I think the more intriguing question is, *Can* Dallas beat Miami? I think they can. Quinn's scheme is made for passing offenses like Miami. Miami leads the league in 2.1 pocket time, so their scheme is not an explosive downfield offense. They typically rely on YAC yards. If we tackle, we should be fine. Believe it or not, I'm worried about their run game, if anything. It looks like we can't stop the run, but that's not true at all. Yes, Miami is 2nd in the league in rushing YAC after contact, but believe it or not, Dallas leads the league in not missing tackles. They are 13th in the league in yards allowed per carry. It's not an elite defense vs. the run, I'll say that. But there are about 12 other teams who are worse. Dallas is 14th in rushing yards allowed. But because our passing defense is so deadly in pass rushing and coverage, teams will try and run the ball. So what do you do to teams who will try to use that as a weakness on our defense? On offense, score points. This game is going to come down to Dallas dictating the flow on their side of the ball by getting a lead early. What this will do is force Miami to take chances down the field, which is something that they hardly ever do. They are currently ranked 26th in the league in intended air yards. And if they do throw down the field, that means their league-leading 2.1 pocket time for Tua is going to increase due to longer routes. Trust me, they don't want that because Parsons is going to get his wish. If Dallas is going to win this, it's going to come down to how our offense plays vs. their defense. Not the other way around. Sorry for the long post. I probably should have done a video on this, lol.
I agree wholeheartedly with this list. These are absolute snubs. I still don’t know why Ed “Too Tall” Jones has been snubbed. I even thought that Walls was inducted, but how can he not be? This is beyond ridiculous! I know people say that Woodson’s time will eventually come, but I also thought that about Charlie Waters, who I believe would have been #6 on this list. The inane arguments against Martin is bull. The claim he wasn’t dominant enough long enough is a false excuse, and the one about Jordan is insane too, claiming that he didn’t get selected because of the time he played, which coincided with the times of other great middle linebackers like Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke and Sam Huff. Those are false excuses because for years they maintained the reason against Drew Pearson before he finally got elected is because his numbers did not match up with the numbers put up by receivers since then that have been due to the many change in the rules to promote a passing game and to protect quarterbacks and receivers against the brutal hits he endured and still thrived in when he played. This is a great list and I appreciate it. Thanks again for your brilliance.
The biggest reason is that they played for the Cowboys. Point...blank...period. The hate is so strong. But Kurt Warner is in and he only played for a short time.
This is a shame too tall and Williams, woody, Jordan, bullet Bob hayes, Roy Williams should be there and for sure these guys need to be in the ring of honor in Dallas
At 6'3" and 208 pounds, Cornell Green would be a huge cover corner in any era. He was a 5-time All-pro player who never missed a game in his 13 year career. Amazingly enough, he never played college football, he was an outstanding college basketball player at Utah State with NBA talent.

Gotta say, I love your channel. I’ve been a Cowboys fan back to the Don Meredith days. The way you dig through the teams/players stats and then present them in a fun and interesting way, just want to say glad to have you on our side.
Appreciate you, bro!! It's an honor to read this!!
Thanks, bro! It's a shame, honestly! Have a Merry Christmas, bro!
@@thelogicalcowboy merry christmas!
Having seen all these guys play in person, I wholeheartedly agree ….they are hall of famers without a doubt !
These guys knew how to win. I miss that with todays team. I loved the old Landry teams and Jimmy Johnson teams. If nothing else they knew how to win.
Man, I love you videos and the information you provide. So thorough, Jerry needs to hire you! I don't know if anyone provides the information that you do. Bravo!
Lol, thanks, bro!
You too, bro!! blessings 🙌
Facts on facts on FACTS!
I’ve been a Cowboys fan since the 1971 season. These are the SAME players I’ve been saying for YEARS have been snubbed.
I think this is the best channel on TH-cam…and yes absolutely agree . With exception of Jordan I watched all these guys play and they all belong in HOF.
Thanks bro!!
Waters is as deserving as anyone. Like you said, just based on his postseason stats alone!
Charlie Waters is the only Super Bowl 🏈 MVP from the losing team. That should tell you what an amazing player he was.
Edit ,sorry that was Chuck Howley. My bad.
I agree with your list but i would make it a top 10 list because this franchise earned it.
I think you're on to something.
Best Dallas Cowboys TH-cam Channel Love it The Logical Cowboy Thank You I got More Honorable Mentions Cornell Green Nate Newton Mark Stepnoski
Great list!
I wish I still had my “Against the Wall” poster from the 80s
It’s crazy that these guys or not in the HOF! Even more sad that I thought these guys were already in the HOF!!
Wow
That list is astonishing!!! Those players should absolutely be enshrined into the HOF!!!
Couldn't agree more with this list. Moose should be in as well. It's a crime that Woody, Martin, and Jordan aren't in.
Moose should definitely be in!
I totally agree on your selections. In the 1970s and 1990s Dallas's back ups could start for most other NFL teams.Wishing you a very merry Christmas 🎅🎄and a happy New Year.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, bro.
Appreciate you bro
100% Those 5 had much better careers than many first time inductees.
I agree
I was shocked that Ed " Too Tall" Jones is not in the Hall of Fame. Following the news that my favorite CB Everson Walls. Great list.
Excellent five…….there are so many that deserve consideration league wide.
GREAT list! Holy cow, these guys were legends in their day and should absolutely be looked at for HOF induction.
That is quite a list
This is the best Cowboys TH-cam channel, No one knows Cowboys history better than Logical Cowboy.
Lol, thanks, bro! Have a merry Christmas!!
Very well thought out and informative video. Those were among my favorite players growing up. What a shame they're not in the HOF!
Thx again!
Great post! I could've read more.
For Jones & Martin to not even be in the Ring shows Jerry’s ignorance even more. Perfect list again. Thanks for your work.
Thanks brother!
How can one disagree ...Cowboys Legends
They finally put they original 54 Chuck Howley in and the original 88 Drew Pearson in and about time.
I agree with your list, but like you said, those other players are deserving as well.
Crazy how disrespected Cowboys players are when it comes to the HOF.
This is an outstanding list
Thanks!!!
John Madden called Darren Woodson the hardest hitter he’s ever seen
Doom's Day Defense, one of the best ever, they should all be in the HOF.
😮With the accolades presented here...
It's undoubtedly criminal that neither of these men ever donned the Gold Jacket 😢
All Those Guys You are Correct Should be in The Hall of Fame It s a Crime and a Damn Shame
Facts!!
Great list. I agree with all 5, I would rate Woody and Harvey as my top two but all are worthy. I started watching the Cowboys as Jordan was retiring. I knew he was good but had no idea he had that many interceptions.
Thanks, bro. Yeah, Harvey really could be anywhere on this list. The guy was a legend! Appreciate you bro!
It's a shame. Those men were top notch players of many exciting games. Players who didn't celebrated in the in zone like players of today. They earned and deserved a place in the Hall of Fame.
You are right. I agree w all your selections. I was wondering if Jordan would be on your list.
They just don't want to give DEM BOYS their props!!! DC4L
I had no idea Woodson wasn't in the Hall. I didn't know who Martin was due to my age, but Woodson was the best secondary player in the league for several years; including Sanders. Teams were able to game Sanders. No team ever gamed Woodson.
If Deion is in the Hall of Fame, Everson Walls most definitely. He has more pics than him.
It's a crime Walls is not in.
@@krl97a ....Interesting point 🤔
This sort of points out what I already suspected. The HOF is really more a popularity contest, and conversely there are some guys in the Hall who don't belong there.
With all of these great videos, you should be in the HOF. Keep them coming!
Honestly, I thought Too Tall and Harvey Martin were already in the HOF. Can’t believe they’re not! Darren Woodson and Walls should of been first ballot.
Ed "To Tall" Jones should've had a gold jackt 10 years ago......He needs to get a PR campaign behind him.
I agree
You can easily make a case for every one of these guys especially Too Tall and Everson Walls. The thing I used to think of when Walls was in his first two years was how did all the other teams that drafted ahead of us pass on him? It was like with Larry Allen in that if people had known how good he was going to be both of them might have been the overall #1 pick.
🔥 🔥 great post!
back then Dallas did a very good job of drafting players from small unknown colleges. But the schools and people who watched them play already knew these guys were destined to be special players.
every single 60’s and 70’s Dallas player should be in the HOF! anything pre-Jerry Jones for sure was the REAL COWBOYS…
Great list. Too Tall didn’t get tons of sacks, which probably hurt him, but b disrupted passing lanes better than anyone. Also played the run better than most ends.
There are probably 25 Cowboys players that could be on that list. But I agree with you in all cases you make here. Another great Video.
I agree!
Absolutely. Good Job man. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you, too!
Yep. He owns the record for *middle* linebackers.
Man you sure ain't lying them two guys was something else y'all missed it and Randy white in the middle
"Too Tall" is long overdue. It makes wonder the reason he's been snubbed by the Hall was his one year stint in boxing before returning to football?
Damn good list...also Jerry needs to open up the ring of honor too. Jimmy next week is a good start
Thanks, bro. Yep, Jimmy is next man up. Have a Merry Christmas!
Totally agree with the list. Id add Don Perkins as an honorable mention. You should do a video of Ring of Honor snubs as well.
Yep. But I'm doing a top 10 list instead of top 5.
I’m so glad I double checked on Woodson. Knew he was an awesome player, had him confused with another Darren. I hope I’m the only idiot who made this mistake and also people correct themselves with a google check. Woodson should be in the hall for sure.
The Logical Cowboy crushes it again.
Iam asking all hall of fame voters to put this group of Dallas cowboy players in the hall of fame. It is because of these players why the game is play the way the game is play today. They change the not only for their team but for the NFL.
This is an outstanding list!!! Merry Christmas TLC!
Thanks, bro! Have a Merry Christmas to you too!
@@thelogicalcowboyhey do you think we’ll beat the Dolphins this Sunday?
@troyc4250
I think the more intriguing question is, *Can* Dallas beat Miami?
@@thelogicalcowboy no no it wasn't a long post to me. I like your thoughts. It makes sense. Thanks for taking your time to answer me.
Bro you should be the man in front the committee arguing these cases. They'd be in.
😂 😂
Darren Woodson was an absolute head hunter. I've never seen a harder hitter since him.
Those are false excuses because for years they maintained the reason against Drew Pearson before he finally got elected is because his
numbers did not match up with the numbers put up by receivers since then that have been due to the many change in the rules to promote a passing game and to protect quarterbacks and receivers against the brutal hits he endured and still thrived in when he played. This is a great list and I appreciate it. Thanks again for your brilliance.
I totally agree, I can't even change your list !
Thank you !!!
Thanks bro!
@@thelogicalcowboy For sure !! You are very welcome.
One of favorite cowboys was Charlie Waters he would 6 on my list.
@@kmjr2400
Waters was a legend!!
@@thelogicalcowboy Yes 💯 percent!!!!
The biggest reason is that they played for the Cowboys. Point...blank...period. The hate is so strong. But Kurt Warner is in and he only played for a short time.
There are multiple Cowboys who deserve to be Hall of Fame.
Ralph Neely and John Niland both 3x All Pros and Neely an all decade team member
Legends!
"They shall not pass over Jordan."
And if you really, REALLY like Walls, try to get the clip of him diving OVER the receiver for the interception.
Charlie waters is on my top 5 ,woodson ,Ed too Tall Jones ,Harvey Martin, Jethro Pugh ,Billy Joe Dupree ,Tony Hill ,Williams offense tackle , Tony Romo ,Dez Bryant offense top 5
Bravo!! Great list. You could have done a top ten oe even 20 and still been on point. So many that deserve to be HOF. But how this list isn't in can only be contributed to the haters.
Thanks bro 🙏 GREAT post.
Woody will get in this year!🎉
