How I loved David Nixon this sums up what a gentleman he really was so solicitous and mannerly. He had time for all that as he was just so magnificently competent at his profession. Not seen him for such a long time I'd forgotten the affection I had for him as a kid and can see why he was always welcome in our home when on TV. Joyful man and respected.
I grew up with this marvellous man. I have so many fond memories of his Magic Box and the diabolical 'miracles' he used to inflict on Anita Harris every week. Bless both of them.0
Oh I LOVED David Nixon - better than any of the crap Magicians that followed... I’d forgotten just how good-looking Jimmy was back then too! After all these years, when someone ever asks me to name a Magician, I still say David Nixon!
Because I despise people who make sweeping statements that they are unable to back up with a single example. And, unlike you, I have made no assertion that I need to 'be sure' of. It's clear that you are not adult enough to even be holding this conversation.@@nintendy
Hi Everyone I wanted to ask if anyone would remember David Nixon Teaches Chess "Checkmate". If so, I would like to hear from anyone who may have a copy of this video. It would probably have been 1975. Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help me.

Nice performance from David Nixon; albeit Chase The Ace was a bit messy. Nobody could perform that trick as well as Ken Brooke. Meanwhile, Tarbuck came across as his usual talentless, unfunny self. How that man ever made it in show business amazes me to this day.
@@countrystudent1038 If you don't know how it was messy, then you haven't got the first idea of how the effect should be performed correctly. As for 'trying it' - I've been performing it since 1979 you utter clown! 😂

Real entertainment from a time when people had to have talent to get on tv.👍👍
As a child in the sixties I used to love watching David Nixon he was a sweet man and very talented, God Bless you Sir.🎩🪄

Yes Nixon was a consummate professionalism, he took over from the ageing and ailing Chan Canasta.
David Nixon instilled me with my life long love of magic. So many people say how they were inspired by Penn & Teller but not me, it was this gent.
David Nixon, now there's a name to conjure with...

@@mobiusklein9140 She most definitely was NOT Alma's sister. She only had one sibling who is known professionally as Sandra Caron.
He was very good at everything he did, made it all look so easy. Great personality , and a gifted magician.
I preferred Anita Harris. She couldn't do magic tricks but...😉
Genial David Nixon, 'mr magic' of my childhood.
I still remember David Nixon.
I never missed his programs when I was a kid they were completely entrancing
Excellent entertainer and superb magician.

Your answer is a cop-out, back up what you said or delete the comment as without back-up it's BULL.

Great stuff,top man.Thanks for uploading
David Nixon. Vastly preferred him to Paul Daniels. A genuinely great man who always knew how to entertain. Never irritated.
britishcomposers Daniels was a product of the Workingmen’s clubs and his style reflected that. Nixon was from a gentler era. I liked both
mr thompson looked like a gentleman as well, so smartly dressed, all thats gone to the dogs !!!
i agree, he never tried to get cheap laughs, he didnt need to.
Great entertainment...
see Juan Tamariz ......Spanish magician......incredible

I can't have heard Roy correctly. Did he say he runs QVC? If he did then I have to call him out for telling fibs.

In the '60s, Liverpool was the centre of the universe.
Tarbuck was from Liverpool.
It was his ONLY qualification.
Ok troll would love to see you pull it off
