    Have run into this code. We run dd13. Have had to put the awning on a couple of them and also the sealing ring going bad and and getting the correct amount of DEF. nice job on explaining this problem 👍

    Guys the test he's shown you is spot on but you need software to monitor ppm, pressures, temps ect. Something as simple as a small boost leak can effect ppm on nox.These are simple test,there more to it than the test. Aftertreatment guy get our butts kicked alot on some of these Dpf and Scr issues.

    What is the life of Nox sensors? And one box.? Two years ago freightliner installed awaining kit and things went good for two years now same problem. I get 3364/15 error once truck heatup to 111 degree centigrade. What could be wrong?

      Muhammed, Nox sensors can fail at anytime, that is why it is important to check before replacing. Be sure to keep idle times to a minimum.

    brand new DPF filter OEM fixed this code on my truck. This code kept coming on while i was going up hill then it would disappear. I replaced nox inlet and outlet sensor and still nothing change until i replace my DPF filter for new one and that fixed the problem. two years now code gone and never came back on now im flying up hill.

    What my problem is while they troubleshoot they want you to buy each part to just say you need another part like nox then 1 box, if we can rebuild engines then we should be able to clean and rebuild 1 boxes! Right?

    I got this code shortly after I filled MY DEF tank. I was going up a steep grade when the code came on. In my onboard diagnostic system it says closed. Although the service light is still on. It's not a active code. What do I do?

    I have a 2016 Coronado with a dd15. How do I tell if I have electric or air? I recently got a new metering valve to carry with me but it doesn’t look anything like the ones I see guys changing or cleaning in their trucks. Theirs is a long assembly with several chambers and wire plugs while the one for my engine is a small box with just two lines coming in. The dealership told me that mine was a new type. I’m asking because when I watch a video what they are doing to their dd15 I don’t seem to have or it’s very different on mine. I don’t seem to find videos that have engines / parts that match mine

      There are different types of DEF Dosers; yes, you may have an electrical valve.

    I Have A 2017 122SD With A DD15 5mph Derate Had Three Codes SPN5397 SPN 3227 And SPN 520372. I Have Replaced The Def Fluid Also Replaced The Downstream Nox Sensor Also. I Have Towed My Truck To The Dealer In Which They Couldn’t Figure Out The Problem.

    I have 2019, dd15, 360k miles fault code 520372/16
    I’ve been taking it to my Mechanic and dealer for 4-5 times, they clear the code and still come back up after 2-3k miles. Dpf, def, all the dpf sensors are new. They can’t seem to find the issue.

      That code is SCR loop. No fix. Just temporary force Regen 2 twice to get nh3 SCR efficiency to 1.00. Than this code will deactivate. That's in my case. Most case check your nox sensor inlet and outlet for hours. Mean time to replace them.

      I’m in the same boat! Had these codes pop up so I took it to Freightliner, they said my def pump was leaking so they changed that, that didn’t fix the issue . They tried to run it through the SCR efficiency test but truck was falling out of regen. They couldn’t figure out why, than they said it was my engine harness that was the problem. Long story short spent $10,000 at Freightliner on def pump and engine wire harness and a bunch of diag time and labor, I took off from there with no codes, they came back on a couple weeks later.

    How you doing sir ? I have question DD 15 cascadia 2012 today when I turn my truck on the gauges cycle like normal then all the power to my dash just turn off and I have no power to no gauges but truck run lights radio ac work but no gauges rpms fuel gauges speed o

    Emissions systems reduce fuel mileage and wastes more fuel which is dumb because your wasting more resources instead of trying to make them as efficient as possible, these emissions systems are a pain in the butt. Great video as always!

    I got this fault code right and I’m doing a regen. Will that help also this happen when I put fuel and def in my truck at the Love’s. Few miles down the road my def light start blinking and get this code 4364 fmi 18.
    I had this same problem a month ago. It in a freightliner shop they said it was the EGR Actuator.Now it doing it again.

I did replace the inlet filter dozer, was a little cristalize, also I replace the DEF pump filter and the inlet filter and I have this code came back yesterday I don’t is because I didn’t the reset what do you think could be now?

      That is a derate fault. You must fix root fault to clear code. Make sure to follow steps in video.

    I have a 2011 Casacadia w/ a DD13. The truck has been ran OTR and serviced regularly. My driver contacted me and stated that the truck was running but making a sputtering sound. We took it to the shop and the guys stated it was the manifold, but once ripped apart they realized it was a gasket that had broke. Gasket was replaced and now the truck acceleration pedal isn’t working consistently,but only sometime. The truck is making the same sputtering sound, and they are assuming that a valve has been sucked in and it is not pulling air in but pushing it out. They suggest a rebuild engine or selling it as is for pennies. I personally am not trying to do either. What other issue could this be? Also, if a valve has been sucked in would the truck even crank? They were even able to drive the truck in 1st gear to move it out the shop. Another mechanic stated it sounds like it could be the piston. I need HELP!!!!

    Thank you for this video. It was very informative. I have code EEC61 4364 18 It’s a 2014 Freightliner M2. The DEF gauge showed 3/4 full , but yet doing my research it said to add DEF. the tank took 7 1/2 gallons. So I’m sure the gauge is not working properly. Can I still drive with this code on? Or is the problem I’m going to get worse please advise thank you.

      I had the same code on my pete with cummins.
      I got it fixed by replacing the douser valve and cleaning the built up def so truck was getting proper amount sprayed in the exhaust. I am getting better fuel milage now and code went off after doing a regen.

    I get this code every time after my truck sits more than a few days over the weekend get 30 miles down the road, then I got the other one for bad def do a parked regen usually goes away but the last time still have the solid yellow light but the yellow engine light went away. 2014 DD15 with 517k miles any ideas?

    I replaced every component of my after treatment system trying to fix this problem. Sensors, dozer, computer, filters, wiring, literally everything but the box itself. Freightliner Amarillo said the awning was a waste of time and I've been told the only thing left is the box. Where are you located and will u install the awning for me?

    Do you know if software update will help with low larmf compensation issue?
    after cleaning def build up i disconnect def doser and regen to burn off build up i couldn't reach.
    reconnect and regen again, hope onebox is cleaner.

      Yajeetj, in some cases your soft ware can fail to communicate if connected for a long period of time or software driver issues with adapter. An update needed on the ACM or ECM is rarely the cause.

      Yes sir I got MIL lights on and code is SPN 520372/FMI 16 he checked by diagnostics link and first he changed both sensors then def dozers even he updated software but still not fixed the problem he said next we can change the pump my truck is 2017 cascadia it has electric def pump. Do you know what the def pump pressure should be. Because I’m getting 140 psi def pressure please advise me thank you

    What do you do if it is contaminated? My truck is in derate at 5 miles per hour all three check engine lights are on. Meaning the yellow check engine light, the yellow maintenance check engine light and the red stop check engine light. The def light is blinking I have changed the filter underneath the d e f tank and then I done a Regen and it still did not fix the problem

    What does this particular situation cost to correct. I have a 2015 cascadia and it keeps reading EEC 61 check light on maintenance light on little amber light above def fuel gage keep blinking. Finally got a parked regen and did 400+miles stopped to fuel up just desiel and they all came on after restarting the truck. I live in lancaster can wait till you guys are fully operational.

      Yep I went to the next exit and put it back on. Got back to Dallas and it was the def dozer wires were frayed throwing a lot if codes. Had to remove the panel on the passenger side to see it.

      Yea bro the wires were frayed an broken. Heat wear and tear. U might have to take the passenger side panel off so u can see the def system an doser components

    That test for inlet and outlet nox sensor
    Just unplug the def doser electric plug and run a test about the sensors?

      Alex, with no def dosing, Nox inlet and outlet should be no more than 50 ppm apart. 🚚👍🏼🔧

      After regen ivdid unplug the def doser
      First inlet was 280
      Outlet about 130 ppm but started raise

      During a regeneration. Inlet nox will run about 300 and outlet should run bout 25 .You need an efficiency of 0.70 or higher .Def will spray about 500 gph or so .this is with doser plugged up .If the doser unplugged your nox will read different but need to be 50 ppm apart.if there not first check for boost and exhaust leaks .then change inlet nox.if this dont get it 500 ppm apart change outlet .If that dont work buy a one box

    I'm getting very worried about these trucks, so many troubles to deal with. I regret why I became an owner. Today I spent over 1700 dollars just changing a water pump.

      That’s way too much for a water pump replacement buddy unless you did it at the dealer

      @@juanaburto446 The job was done by a Pilot shop in East St louis. I had a replacement that had cost $75 but it turned out to be incompatible. The time was past 7pm and I couldn't go out to look for another replacement. Pilot made calls and told me they'd found a proper fit for $1000!!!! I was trapped and probably getting blackmailed but told them to proceed anyway since I had to get out of there. The final bill included 1000 for the pump and 700 for labor and coolant. I have the receipt and I'm thinking of raising the issue with Pilot.

    If u have 4364 code along with 520371 and 530372, just run scr efficiency tests until they all go away. Freightliner only has this temporary fix for it.

      Sean, thank you for your question. Detroit has done away with coolant filters. Engine after 2015 do not require coolant filter due to updated module. Test have been run and there is not negative effects of this change. I would still test coolant concentration with test strips.

      Yes talking about the glass or clear plastic filter on the frame. I have coolant filter too. I think they called that fuel water separator if I’m not mistaken

    I'm on the back roads in Oregon where there are no freightliner dealership. What can I do to keep from calling roadside or a wrecker?

      5246/15- for 2011 you have 30 miles before forced to regen/ 2010 models have 10 hrs or 500 miles before forced to regen.
      If you have a successful regen codes should clear. If not, then the test in the video will need to be conducted.

      @@AmanAndHisTruck123 yes. It was the Dosser Seal that needed to be replaced. I took it to Interstate Deisel and they replaced the seal under warranty. Those seals on the Dosser go bad and need to be replaced probably every 300k miles and it starts spraying out the DEF fluid all over the place and they leak the fluid and it cakes up all on the inside of your ONE BOX.

      @@cascadia7244 thank you man, I took it to a mechanic this time that used to work at a Freightliner dealership and replacing the doser is his first recommendation, so I’ll get that replaced and do you have the part number by any chance? And did you get the one box cleaned as well ?

      @@AmanAndHisTruck123 yes they did clean out the one box so have your machanic do that. I don't have the part number but call frieghtliner dealer, give them your Vin number and they will tell you what the part number is. Your machanic will probably have to get the dosser from the dealer anyway. But if they don't have any in stock because it might be on back order then just have him change out the seal inside the dosser.

    Every time I fill up my def tank to full my def quality light comes on A couple hours later of running it. Then when I’m like at 3/4 of def the service engine light goes away

    I have a question? I own a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia DD15 eng. Back in September I had 4364 fail 18 on my truck. Dealer replaced NOX sensors inlet and outlet. shortly after that i had to have the DPF filters replaced. On 11/18/2020 I had the DEF injector due to a fault code 4353 fail 3. 11/28/2020 the check eng. service eng. light came on with codes 4364 fail 18, 3364 fail 2, and a blinking light on the DEF section. Most of this is covered under warranty. Would a nox senser go bad after filters are changed. Trying to make sense of all this.

      This fault can be cleared once you have a successful regen either parked or rolling. If you have high idle times this code can become active but later become inactive once all self tests have passed.

      Yes i have a tool that will do force regens. Local mechanic told me replace both nox sensors. Took 1 code off for extreme low nox conversion but left the other code for low nox conversion.

      James, changing sensors would be the last resort. Checking engine faults, DEF delivery system and checking for DEF build up should be done first before swapping sensors for this code.
