I'm really with you on this review. The only part I wasn't totally digging was the end because it seemed a little messy plot-wise. I have no doubt Nick fixes it for book 2. I've told him kind of the same thing. Sledge is one bad mo fo.
The ending was the weakest part for me, but it was hard to spell out without fully spoiling. Granted, I didn’t see it coming so it was a good surprise but idk that it works as well. Doesn’t make or break the book, though
@@AuthorJohnADouglas The movie is really well done, it delves into who Saint Nick was before he was Sainted - a brutal warlord (according to the movie anyway) goes to town with a Sledge Hammer at one point
Uncanny similarities to the new Absolute Batman: 7' hulking brute who pummels and kills his enemies and the bat symbol on his chest doubles as a giant hammer.
What does it say that your view of man sensibilities has violence against others as a core tenet, apparently Mine doesn't, at least, though this book does have my attention. I love seeing how good action scenes are written.
@@IanKernohan that John understands the entirety of human history, I'd say! 😅 But legit, even if you're not there for the violence, Sledge is a fantastically good time!

Oops….wrong Sledge Hammer

Have you seen David Harbour in Violent Night? Santa with a hammer - some brutal scenes
@@wreckingballmedia I love Christmas, but violent Christmas movies and especially a murderous Santa aren’t really my thing

Here! Take my money!! Kidding, but it's now on my list. It is the kind of movie I love so I'll definitely read it.
