We're doing this at my school and I just wanted to see how other people have done it, I love this! also, you roasted on one guy who had something about smoking "everyday" in the comments and it made my day😂😂 Amazing job!
At 3:14 there is an edit where we switch from the camera left to camera centre. Watching the surrounding area (particularly the lights) reveals that the clip is reversed. Since that requires some intent, I am sure that there is a reason for it. Regardless … the video, the dancing and particularly the energy are terrific.
+Stormborn hahaha As I mentioned in the description, this video includes footage from two performances, one from the Anaheim II regional and the other from nationals (also in Anaheim). Evidently, Jordan reversed which legs she chose for the up and down stockings.
+Stormborn Thank you very much! Most of the video is from nationals (her left stocking down), but three parts of it are from regionals (her right stocking down).
Stormborn I know right! It's weird! I think they did this twice and used footage from both times round, except on time left sock was up and the other time the right was up.
The Dance Place kills their musical theater numbers. You may want to also watch their 2016 production number "Matilda" th-cam.com/video/BZmdawBkK6k/w-d-xo.html

I think the dancing and choreography is phenomenal. However if you're going to do a theatrical dance please be theatrically correct. Matilda was portrayed so wrong in this it's killing my theater heart. She isn't a girl who shows her emotions easily. She isn't angry in either one of these numbers. In naughty she is more mischievous not angry. In Broadway she isn't in revolting children however that song isn't an angry song either. If you're going to do a theatrical dance please be theatrically correct and do your research on the characters. There's no excuse to not take a few minuets out of your day and research Matilda. There's a Broadway show out and a book.
@@panicatthehooey9383 True but there is a category of dance called musical theater dancing which this would fall under. I know I done both acting and dancing.
No, they don't actually sing. It's a musical theater category piece, so sometimes they pretend to sing so it looks like an actual stage performance, but this is just a dance contest.
All these kids need to be on Broadway. I like musical theater but The Dance Place makes it even more enjoyable and fun to watch.
JaidaSimone98 They aren't singing this, just dancing to it.
(And lip syncing)
These children are PHENOMENAL! this is a super great tribute to Matilda the musical!
Thanks for sharing.
Why does the fact that Matilda's sock heights change annoy me 😂😂😂
i saw that toooo it changes like they filmed it multiple times lol
This is so amazing!! So Broadway-like!
They were lip-synching to the original cast recording, so that helps make it Broadway-like.
Very good choreography, loved it!

Marleena Garris lol ikr
Wait, these are two different performances merged for the video? THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
yes, I chose the best camera angles from two performances and put them together with my video editor 😀
Perfect Dance Videos What editor do you use?
VEGAS Movie Studio by MAGIX Software
That is weird with the socks

Matilda's socks change sides from 00:53 to her right sock (our Left) being rolled down to her left sock being rolled down at 1:00
Guys, they were lip sinking
yeah we were supposed to be lip singing
This is actually easier than our choreography why does my theater teacher us.
* Peachy Crumbs * we have to learn the original choreography
3:13 ... whaaaatt happend there ^^ seriously. One of her socks is up - left, the other down - right. A second later it's the other way around... HOW!?
+Stormborn hahaha As I mentioned in the description, this video includes footage from two performances, one from the Anaheim II regional and the other from nationals (also in Anaheim). Evidently, Jordan reversed which legs she chose for the up and down stockings.
oh xD sorry! I didn't read it. And very damn well made. I couldn't tell at all ^^

I think it's just from the cam

Wow!!!
Anyone else wondering how her socks change heights?

I loved it
How is it at 42 seconds in her rolled down sock swaps from being on her left leg to swap to her right leg? I couldn’t help but notice
They did this at regionals and nationals and I used parts of each. When I edited this video, I did not realize the costume difference. :)
is it just me or is some of the steps the same as the other vid
yes they took "Revolting Children" and expanded it the following season into a full production ("Matilda") and so some parts are recycled
and how did i even get here
+Smokeweed Everyday You are just lucky, I guess. (You may want to reconsider that "every day" thing.)
did anyone spot ner socks switched

The first song is naughty?
yes. Naughty, then Revolting Children, then When I Grow Up
there is no "When I Grow Up" in this version though
OK the last one is titled "When I Grow Up/Naughty Reprise"
T'n'T Studio's yes it is
Só eu que reparei na meia da menina... tava trocando a meia de perna toda hora
this video is from 2 different performances that they put together!
I think I could do that
If I knew how to do that

Dude it's a dance competition not a theatre competition

They didnt put the songs in the right order and why in the world did they mess it up, but if it is for dancing then they did a good job
God they are just kids I don’t think you can do any better plus it’s not a theatrical dance it’s a dance competition
@@TeresaBensonHer being emotionless, even if the Broadway character is emotionless wouldn’t have looked good in a dance competition. Relax.
The singing sounds fake unless there not supposed to be singing
The singing is from the music track. It's a recording of a theater production.
wtf did i just see
+Smokeweed Everyday It's a musical theater style competition dance based on Matilda, The Musical
There don't singing
