a heat gun and a scraper is the best way to remove laquer and varnish.

What type of "varnish" did you use over the stain. The wheel looks to have a high gloss which is more than you usually get from stain alone. Thanks.

Hey. I used Minwax Wood finish natural and then polyurethane to seal it off. You can get it here:
      Minwax polyurethane: amzn.to/3RQYM8p
      Minwax Wood finish: amzn.to/3M4FH13

@@EweJinTee So you applied by hand with a cloth? Also did you use high gloss or satin finish? Thanks.

@@scuderiazane4723 Yes I did. Just wipe it and let it dry over time. The polyurethane finish is the glossy and dries completely.

Excellent job, congratulations! How would you recommend me to restore the black line?
I just got one old Nardi but it has one piece of that line missing.

Hi! Thanks! What I've seen people do was before you apply any wood finish, be sure to use paint marker or oil paint to sort of 'touch-up' the lines. Then once it's dried, go over it with a wood finish and seal it off. That should work great in my opinion. Good luck!

Why didn't you polish the aluminum after sanding it. It would have looked even better 👍

Tried rubbing it with Autosol. Doesn't change the look drastically. So I just leave it haha
