My boy Cobra better be playable in Fairy Tail 2 !!! I wanted him in the first game and DLC so bad! He plays a role in the final fight against Acnologia so he’s gotta be… right? I think Brandish is also a given ! LOVED the first game I played it thoroughly until I did everything!!

@@murderman8578 The first game felt more like an indie game made by a hardcore Fairy Tail fan then a game made by a major game studio. And as much as I enjoyed it the game was clearly held back by a low budget.
It was very un finished , there was a character with full model and moveset that was nvr added as a dlc

One of my favorite Animes of all time! I remember putting about 70 hours into the first game earlier this year. I'm so excited for this sequel!

I wouldn't mind seeing a revival of Expansion Packs. Just like vinyl records came back, an old format should easily return for video games.
From corporate-oriented gaming publishers, DLC as a concept has definitely gotten carried away even though we've thankfully moved past loot boxes for the most part. that whole gacha box stuff was a wrong turn for video gaming. From gaming-oriented publishers we see far more gamer-friendly addons.

It is good seeing an anime game that is not a 3D arena fighter.
The last Fairy Tail game was a turn-based RPG. Good to see this is going to be a real-time RPG instead.
@@binkyboy448 I know but in the big wave of anime games just being Arena Fighters seeing this being a RPG is great also The Sandland game being an action adventure game, Spy x Anya a Slice of Life game and Demon Slayer being a mario Party clone.

I'm one of the few people actually looking forward to this game. Do I think that this game was made purely out of the hype of 100 year quest? Yeah. But despite the flaws, I enjoyed the first game. This sequel could be great, if they want it to be. I'm hoping.
(I hope they have a costume of Natsu with his outfit open during this arc, otherwise it's gonna bug the heck outta me. 💀 I just like keeping outfits during story accurate.)

We really need the part on tenrou island with the English dub where Natsu sets Lucy's curse doll on fire and then uses Lucy to attack and call it Lucy Fire. 😂 that was very funny to me.

Right? I'd even take more Musou games than just Fate and Gundam over the endless fighting games manga based games usually get. Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach both had SRPGs and those were amazing. Dragon Ball had two turn based games and that's it. Attack of the Saiyans was incredible and Fusions was great but nothing since. Not even more Legacy style games. I have Kakarot but that's just a fighting game in disguise lol. Digimon is still holding it down though for turn based games of some sort at least. And I'd give anything for a sequel to MS Saga: A New Dawn. I love that game.
A Bleach Musou game would be insane though.

Cool. Don't know about changing it to real time battles though. I kind of liked the turn based battles of the first game. Also hope its on Playstation. The first game didn't run great on Switch so I probably will get this on Playstation if I have a choice.
I think it is confirmed for ps5 and ps4. Definitely plan on getting on my ps4! The trailer is hype but the graphics on switch look a bit rough for sure. Mostly just the landscapes.
It's got to have more than just the final arc for it to be worth a full game
Considering the first game already covered up to the end of the tartaros arc im not sure how much story is left for them to cover without making up new stuff

The ultimate Fairy Tail game will be the one where I can make my own Wizard, for whom I can choose appearance and magic, and make my own guild, and grow said guild alongside the narrative of the story while interacting with the other guilds of the anime as friendly rivals or allies, then the post-game act is taking the guild i've grown to the Grand Magic games and face Natsu in the finals as the final boss (and Malenia I mean Erza also somewhere in the tournament)
I've been wanting a a sequel to the Fairy Tail RPG since I finished it thoroughly AND we got a farming game with Hiro Mshima's designs in Farmagia !! Plus I'm interested in Dragon Quest + Marvel vs Capcom collection. This direct was perfect to me. 10/10 my personal favorite Nintendo Direct ever!!! 🔥
What do you mean real time battles? That looked turned based to me.
It could either be an mistake that was said or its like Final Fantasy with active time system. But i could be wrong on that
I think that's because they only showed a few seconds of actual combat, around 0:29. Most of what we saw was split between what looked like cutscenes and special attacks that trigger small cinematics mid battle. But the few seconds of actual mid battle combat we saw looked a bit like something from Final Fantasy XII or Xenoblade Chronicles IMO, so real time sounds about right.
I think it will be similar to Xenoblade Chronicles instead of turn based combat
turn base is also considered real time, you just pause between actions. This is why they say this to sell better, but its a turn based game for sure

Fairy Tail seems to be a popular anime people either love or dislike.
I have been completed Fairy Tail the anime itself since 2019 and its video game on PS5 since 2021 and complete the Platinum, i would be surprised the method of Fairy Tail 2 are the same.
I knew that Fairy Tail 3 would be uncompleted arcs being Oracion Seis, Edolas, and the new 100 Years Quest.

Well i just compared both game trailers and i have to say it seems the budget for the game has increased and graphics looks more crispier if that makes sense and kinda looks like the new jc staff animation graphics for the 100 year quest anime aswell at least it does to me lol

Tragedy I loved the turn based gameplay.
Only knowing fairy tail by name and some of the characters I enjoyed the first game as a game. Have no idea if it was a good representation of the story but I will def be playing this.

I have even more reason to hurry with my Fairy Tail rewatch, as when I had first watched the series, it only went up to Fairy Tail Zero. Never watched the Final Season, and right now I’m at Tartaros
Update: I finished the original series, Fairy Tail still remains one of my absolute favorite anime series. I’m interested in seeing how this arc gets adapted in the game, however since there’s no English dub, I won’t be getting it. Fairy Tail isn’t Fairy Tail to me if Todd Haberkorn isn’t screaming his lungs out as Natsu.
Guess I better finish the last chapter on the first game. This better come to PlayStation

I would prefer a warriors/musou game, but I guess a take on the star ocean/tales gameplay is okay. I really hope they don't dangle characters in our face and then not let us use them like they did the last game with Flare, Minerva, Ultear, and Cana. I loved the turn based, but I didn't like the small roster and the recycled ability animations.
I wonder if they'll censor it day one, like the last fairy tail game. This is a hard sale for me because I'm still annoyed over the last game

I am definitely getting this game. The one other type of Fairy Tail game that would be even better and one I would totally on board on is a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm style fighting game through maybe not on the Switch at first probably on the Ps5 first.
