    I'm an elderly lady who for years had the Greenworks 40v mower, but it wasn't self-propelled so became way too hard for me to push, and trying to remove the battery was difficult. Then I got the self-propelled 60v model and absolutely love it. There was a 25% off sale a few weeks back so got another 60v self-propelled one for only $261. Thanks for another great review. :)

    I had the corded version and it worked great. Then sold it when I moved into an Apt. Now have a small yard to take of and decided to get this battery mower. No more hassle with the cord. Also I love how compact it is when the handle is folded up. Takes up little room in the garage.

      @@TechMadeEzy I notice in your video that the lights on the battery did come on briefly when using the lawn mover. Greenworks tech support didn't really know the answer so I asked GPT Chat and it did. It said that it is normal for the battery lights come on at start up but then go out, I found this to be true. I then stop running the mower then restarted but the lights didn't come on again. Could be a timer in the BMS of the battery regulating when the lights can come on.at start up. Will experiment to see how long a pause is needed before the lights come on or it could be you have to remove the battery then plug it back in. As with my corded 16" mower this 16" really good at picking up leaves and such. The bag fills up really quick.

    Also GREAT for kids who want to help and step up and help Dad get stuff done. We have three boys ages 11, 13 and 14. They are more than capable to do this once a month each plus myself of course. We rent our lovely home and I am sick of my gas mowers and the trouble they constantly are giving me and there is no way we can afford a new gas mower. We are getting this from Rent a Center, yes we will pay twice the price in the long run, but for 70$/Mo total, this is going to be awesome! Very excited.

    I just bought the 16" and it does just fine. It is very light. I have a small front and back lawn, which is good for smaller yards. It takes me about 15 minutes per yard and it takes half of the current, (two dots) to cut both. That leaves 2 or half of the battery. So I can recommend it for small to medium yards. It does a good job, but I recommend not letting the grass get too tall. I would say no more than 3". Preferably a little shorter. I am 79 btw. Thanks for the great video.

      @TechMadeEzy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roger, thank you yes I did this video for that reason if you have a real small yard this is light it works pretty nice and you just wanna make sure your grass doesn’t grow too high because it won’t be able to handle it. Thank you for watching.

    I recently moved to a 55 plus community and have to decide whether or not to keep a little strip of grass (5' by 15') they threw in with the house. In the meantime, a mower like this would be perfect for my situation. The biggest cons for me is the fact that the motor isn't brushless and that it doesn't store sitting upright like other mowers....for more money! Thought your video and review was the best on TH-cam. Very specific, thorough, and well articulated. Well done!

    I have the 17" 48v which has 2 batteries both 4amphr. Mowing time is longer using the basket as opposed to the mulcher. Takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

    • @TechMadeEzy
      @TechMadeEzy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The GreenWorks mower in my video is convenient it’s nice it’s lightweight. It’s definitely not very durable. I have not seen or tested the ryobi. The ryobi might be built better, but I can’t confirm that. I will say they both have warranties and if you buy them take them home and I’m really not happy with the quality. I’m pretty sure you can keep your receipt and bring it back.

    Small mower but would be good for small lawns or just trimming around trees and flower beds before using the riding lawn mower. Negative for me is that it is made in China. I don’t like to buy products like these from China. However, the headquarters is in South Carolina…so why not build in USA? (Labor cost, of course.)
    Please encourage your fiancée to wear closed toed shoes when mowing. So easy to cut off a toe (happened to my Mom).

    • @thomasoliver5095
      @thomasoliver5095 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep in mind a mower blade is powerful enough to cut even thru a steel toe boot.But closed shoes are still a good idea-just keep feet away from the deck no matter what shoes you have!

    I didn't have a lawn mower from Greenworks, but I have different products. What I can tell after using for 2 years, battery arr noy good. It not charging after 3 month winter break. Lucky me that I bought at Costco and with no recipes and no boxes they gave me money back. No more greenworks!
