Thanks for the review. I bought a greenworks 40 volt self propelled 21 inch mower and it only lasted 4 months. I think I will try a badger mower now.

I've actually had some issues with Greenworks too. I bought one of their chainsaws (their biggest strongest model) and the oil feed eventually clogged up. It's been clogged ever since and the company hasn't been very helpful in giving any guidance for fixing it. I have a weed wacker of theirs that works okay still though.
This Badger brand seemed like a bit of a cheaper alternative brand when i was approached by the company to review this mower, but it's still running strong after more than a year. I'm really happy with it. I think I might have been given a coupon code to share with people on this one that might still work. That'd be in the video description if there was one. Good luck!

Was thinking about buying this lawn mower. Think you have swayed me in that direction! Thanks for the great informative video!

I shot this video last year, and the mower is still working totally fine. One thing I'd pass on to you is that the way I show the handle being attached in this video is actually upside down. Not having been a frequent user of this sort of mower in the past, I attached it on upside down, and had no idea. It still worked totally fine. A viewer of this video called it to my attention in regard to how I mention that the connection point between the handle and the mower was a little weird in the way that the teeth intermeshed. When I flipped it, the connection was still just as weird, so it wasn't the upside down attachment causing that, but now the wire doesn't crisscross across the machine like it did when I had it the wrong way. I hope the mower works out for you. It's been great for us here. :)

Barefoot lawn mowing. That’s a new one for me 😂

Good eye! I realized what I was doing part way through recording the video. Normally being used to my "grandpa" lawn mower, barefoot is pretty much always my footwear. That's def one downside of the powered gear is that one needs to be a bit more cautious with the bare feet.

@@PraxisAdventures Even with a grandpa mower, I feel it’s a good way to at least lose a toenail, but you do you! I do love the feel of grass beneath my feet, so I can’t really blame you.

Would like to see Greenworks compared---similar models.

If greenworks ever offers to send me a mower to test, i'll def do that. I have the greenworks chain saw, weed wacker and hedge trimmer and thise all work well... though the oil feed on their chain saw has been clogged up for years and they dont seem able to help me fix that.

I don’t know why mine won’t stay running once started. The battery is fully charged. It just cuts off a second or so after hitting the grass.

I haven't personally had an issue like that with mine. I'd contact the company and see if they could offer insights. Perhaps the battery is reading full, but there's some sort of issue and it's actually not really charging to full. The idea that the thing cuts out once some strain is put on it reminds me of what electric tools tend to do when they have a low battery. In any event, you should reach out to them. They seemed pretty interested in communicating with me about some questions I'd had early on too. Good luck.

@@PraxisAdventures Thanks! You’re right, they responded to my voicemail message right away. Turns out, the area I was attempting to cut at the time was too high for the first setting. I had to shift it up to four. Then, it stayed cranked and was able to cut with no problem.

You know you install handle upside down. This is why the teeth didn't match properly together on the bottom

Huh... Not being super familiar with powered lawn mowers, I guess I accidentally didn't think about how I was doing that. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for the tip on the EGO too. It sounds like a good machine at a good price. that said, I'd mention that this lawn mower is still going strong after 2 seasons and I don't find any need for self-propulsion due to it being super light already.

It also looks like a black and decker 40v battery

It might be compatible with those. I don't have any so I couldn't say for sure.

    How’s the mower holding up?

    • @PraxisAdventures
      @PraxisAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

That's a good question to ask. A lot of time people make reviews too early and the devices they review die later on. In this case, though, the mower is still working fine. If it does die in a way that I feel is premature, I'll be sure to share that here on my channel.

Buy EGO !! $200 more but worth every single penny !! Much bigger and and comes with 2 battery, last longer. Size 20 inch. Side discharge and upward storage. And the most important is that it's self-propelled !!!! Not a Push mower... its 2024.... So all this for just extra 200 bucks ! If not $150 on sale.
