I gotta say, moving from 89 to 93% ied made such a big difference in Cvell. I switched from abso to arcane because my arcane had a 30% pot line on top of the 20% from the weapon.

1. IED Block is the bottom left, not top left.
2. IED sources stack separately, so the way you're adding them up in this video is grossly overestimating the total IED you would get from each source. For example, legion gives 40% from the grid, 5% from BT and 5% from blaster. Assuming no other sources of IED, this would give you a total of 1 - (1 * (1 - 0.4) * (1 - 0.05) * (1 - 0.05)) = 45.85% IED, not 50%. This applies to all other "summation" of IED sources throughout the video
3. Zero also gives 10% IED
4. For a new player, especially if their class lacks built in IED, WSE optimization is the least of their worries. Hitting the IED thresholds for stuff like CRA and lomien is FAR more important than wasting their meso rolling away IED IED BD on their weapon because it not "optimal". For the most part, 3L WSE will outperform 2L until mid-late game, excluding edge cases where they are severely over-invested in BD/IED (500%+/97%+ for most mid-game players is where I would draw the line).
5. Monster park badge/emblem has a set effect of 10% IED if both are equipped, bringing the total to 3 sources of 10% IED. Still not a recommendation though because of the insane cost of the badges (unless you're really lucky).
Yes, I understand ied has depreciating value and it isn’t additive to each other. This video is giving new players an idea of where to get ied from. I don’t like to information over load. It’s just east to digest guide to give newer players an idea of the best places to get ied.
On the note of the Sparkling Blue Star potion, if you often use the Sparkling Red Star potion and still want that 20% BD, you can be an Alchemist and use both the Sparkling Blue Star potion with an Advanced Boss Rush Boost potion/Luxury Remedy of Boss Killer. If you can sustain the usage of the Boss Damage alchemy potion, you can opt to have lesser or no IED lines on your WSE. Although being an Alchemist means that you give up 5% Crit Damage from Smithing, but that also means that you no longer need to upkeep your profession mastery.
I believe you forgot Zero, it also gives some IED.

Another item to consider in the endgame is the 7 day monster park badge. It is technical bis over gene badge as you can get 9 set pb with blackheart.

Loosing my legion and link skills is the worst part of restarting on reboot, I'll probably train a beast tamer and a lumi next since they give some cracked stuff for my BaM

Super easy source of 45% IED is opening up a bunch of grey familiars. I farmed 100 of them at Limina 2-7 and was able to 3x fams with 15% IED.

Hi! Thanks for the info on the ied sources. I recently just started MapleStory(on reboot) just 9 days ago during the start of the hyper burning event and hyper burnt an Adele as my main(lv232 now w/ 680legion score). Saw on one of your videos you are an Adele main. I've been looking around but can't find a definitive V skill node set-up so could I ask for some advice? Currently planning on finalizing are:
one pair) hunting/bloom/cleave, cleave/hunting/bloom.
one trio) dispatch/forge/reign, reign/cleave/impale, impale/dispatch/forge
Also, what would ideal inner ability lines be where I am at or should I even bother with them atm. Lastly, is there an ideal ied value to hit for Adele? I will be making a lumi to 70 now after watching this vid!

Your node setup is perfect! Don’t worry about using impale node at the moment. That’s an endgame Adele setup. For now just worry about having meso and trying for crit rate on inner!! Cheers 👌🏻

doesnt matter if zero link isnt bis, its still good for early - mid game and is a good source of ied. shoulda been included
generally, how would you recommend the amount of IED per stage of the game? I'm currently at the end of daily bosses where i can solo all of them but the transition to weeklies is a bit more difficult as things like CRA have insanely high defense. Right now I'm only sitting at around 75% IED although thats only with links and little into hyperstat and none into legion since i havn't unlocked that part of the grid yet
For CRA you should have at least 85%, remember things like mage link ied doesn't appear your stat window, and some skills like the paladin 50% defense debuff to bosses also doesn't appear in stat window
definitely respec your hyperstat to get 10 levels of IED in the early game. The goal is to get to 75% IED for 3-door CRA and 85% for 4-door. I recommend one preset for mobbing (Normal Damage) and one for bossing (IED + Boss Damage). Follow up with cubing your Secondary and Emblem to legendary with IED and Boss Damage. You can buy a 2nd Secondary from the vendor so that you can have one cubed for mobbing and one for bossing.
Cra 89-92 Lomien-ctene 92-94 black mage and above 94-96
Btw, I highly suggest a paladin boss mule. It has less problems with ied thanks to the mentioned debuff, and you can ignore a lot of boss mechanics. I've been finding it a very easy class to tackle cra early. Von bon and queen are no problem at all, while vellum and pierre need a little more damage, pierre to be able to burst to avoid him splitting and vellum so you don't run out of time. Still, we're talking sub 1.5m range buffed.
@@Feanor1988bisyup, i was able to do 3 door on my paladin with ~850k range unbuffed and 93% ied. Absolutely amazing bosser.

What's the tradeoff for going into pb from superior gollux?
The set affect from Gollux gives a lot so for most people it is very hard to use the earring and belt from pitch boss set since it requires them to loose a lot of ied

Does Hoyoung's link give 10% IED to anything? I read it as "Gives you 10% IED to mobs with 100% hp"
10% IED and you hit mobs with full health harder. two buffs
the 10% ied is consistent. it’s just the extra damage that only works on full hp mobs
gms really be playing on easy mode
gms is so easy... theres familiars, badges and totems
and lv3 link skills and Beast Tamer. IED is free af in GMS. GMS is Maple on easy mode. KMS and SEA are significantly more challenging in comparison
So since months ago I started watching the streams with my son, and at first we enjoyed it. The content was good and as a parent the language used was not too out of bounds. However, lately it’s hard for me to let my son anywhere near your videos.. firstly I might be a old maple head but I also have a degree in Math from UPenn and wherever the hell you went certainly didn’t help with counting exp rates or finding the mathematical best way to play. I like Maple as a player and parent because it involves critical thinking and therefore I let my son play, but you guys have become way too much of a influence on him. Last week my son keyed my wife’s new car and was wearing a black sock with holes in it over his head during the process. Then this week during my mother’s funeral service my son was starring his Equipment and saying that the funeral provided a “good pattern”. Please ban my son from your twitch chat and I will stop with the negative comments his IGN is YanShade
