Mine was exactly the same except the fairing only came down about halfway and didn't have those scoops on it. I never knew it was offered with a full fairing like that. Rode it from Florida to Kentucky and back with no issues whatsoever. Just an all-around great bike and for the time had cutting edge tech.

I bought a Targa brand lower fairing which was color matched and the fit and color were perfect....it looked oem. I still have the small 1/4 fairings which were replaced by the full lower. That's the exact colors offered on the GSXR which had just been released.
I had an '85 and an '86 like this one. Both got stolen and the engines removed to be used (probably) for racing. I'd buy one again today, but keep it totally locked up. Be careful with the choke and never leave it on for too long.
I had a 82 gs550Lz with a 4 into one header. Fast, handled great and wonderful first bike. I wish I still had it I really love the 6-speed transmission and when I try it out at 650E with the five speed it just sucked in comparison. And it was like overdrive you could get out on the freeway and just peg that 85 mph speedometer the cars would just flash by you.

I currently have a 1986 550es and love the bike! However where can I get those Fairings? I would have thought there are the fairing off the ef model but looking closely at it I realised there not. Any help?

I don't know where you live, I'm in Canada but I had the same bike. . It was an EF model. Exactly the same as that one.
