This is useful for medication. Often times the labels are extremely hard hard to read for the visual impaired.
You can also use pipe cleaners to attach buttons and clips. The 2-hole button and a pipe cleaner work great to label cables and items with handles. Thanks for the great video Sam!

Nice video. You hit the mark with you mention the gardening, list the information like temp of planting, feed material, fertilizer and etc. all tthose information on Wayaround label or tag. On another note, do you recommendation or have video for find a key tile or clip with gps?

Great video as usual Sam. Do you think this could be used to label items in your freezer? Or is there another way you might recommend?
Yes - these work great in the freezer. Oval hole buttons with silicone bands are a really popular solution for the freezer. WayClips and stickers also work!
@@WayAround I know Sam showed a device that could be used to scan the tags, but said that it then reads it on the app. It would be nice if the scanning device could be used as a stand alone device. My mom would like it but she uses a Blind Shell phone so she can’t use the app part. And the person who could set up the app on their phone to record the tags isn’t always around her for her to be able to use it alone.
@@Tweetiebyrd13 Thanks for that feedback, Chris. Right now, using WayAround does require an iOS or Android device. We don't currently have plans for a standalone device, but if that changes we will let you know!

My first instinct is to say yes but I’m not 100% sure. I would recommend jumping on their website and looking for more information about that.

Hi Sam, can those tags go through a dry cleaning?
HI David - either of the buttons will be fine going through dry cleaning.
Could be useful in office settings to label meeting rooms, supplies, etc., although if tags are personal, this would be difficult for sharing. Another us: expiration dates on food like milk, cheese, etc. This sounds similar to myPenFriend, but using a phone is a little more convenient.
Great idea! Although it is not available today, we are beta testing our public WayTags at multiple locations around the country. We are working on standardization for locations and how information is organized and presented.
Can a standard NFC tag also be used in place of the more expensive waytags? Is it possible to find out if the nfc waytag is special in anyway?

10:50 Are you sure about this? If it really is stored in the cloud, then whenever you have a spotty internet connection, or the severs go down, then you wouldn't be able to read any of your tags. It would make for sense to store the text in the tag itself. Most NFC tags/chips can store at least 100 characters, some can store over 800 or even 3000 characters.
Hi, can the normal stickers b reused?
The message can be edited or completely re-written. However, the stickers cannot be removed as they stick really well.
You can use a removable label to attach WayTag stickers to things temporarily and then remove the label to attach the sticker to something else.

Sam the envision america folks offers a var code & scanner aswell they are also the makers of script talk for rf stickers, braille, & labels in large print that can be used for prescription information. You can use either your smart phone to scan rf sticker to play prescription info & view on smart phone display or can use script talk scanner. You need to check them out.

Sam also the Envision America folks do also employ visually impaired blind individuals. I speak with a very knowledgeable blind customer service person shes the go to person 8n the organization for assistance support advice recommendations to their products & services. She even has a guide dog by her side everyday which is awesome she gives me insight going about on acheiving the next level or plateau getting a guide dog the pros & the cons that blind individuals may not be aware of vs strictly using a white cane. There may be situations where you may prefer a white cane over a guide dog. Sam does the pharmacies in your area are capable of using the scrip talk service or capabilities? Stay in touch

Yes, although it should be noted that not all pharmacies have this available. Here in my state, Kroger does not. With it being one of the most popular pharmacies around, those customers need another option for making their medication accessible. That’s where something like WayAround would be helpful.
Too expensive but it is interesting. Some blind must be rich.
