thank you for the acknowledgement sir . actually my understanding and level of play are very different i am rated 1000 blitz and 2000 puzzles(started playing online last year) , maybe because i never got to study or play chess (don't know any theory or traps) just grew up seeing gm games on the sports page of the newspaper as a 80/90s kid . very glad to see chess in the limelight thanks to all of you . any piece of advice to improve would be much appreciated

I played the Grunfeld a lot years ago as a main defense. Move order is important in many lines, and easy to forget bc often looks like a simple transposition. Been hit by this or something like it myself.

It looks as though the loss of one tempo from black relieves white of a lot of pressure and they can hold the centre just fine.
But as per that line of reasoning, isn’t the reverse Grunfeld from White’s POV just straight up bad for black?

    Sagarbhai can’t we go for d4 Nf6 c4 g6 Nc3 d5 Bd2 to then take the knight on c3 with the bishop

4:27 bxd4. I’ve always played nxd4 (cos I don’t want to trade my grunfeld bishop). Is bxd4 better?

      I had a stroke reading bxd4
I was thinking how in the world did the b pawn take on d4
      It was Bxd4😂

Whatever white does in this opening, white HAS to create something on the kingside, otherwise whites centre will most likely collapse sooner or later. If im white, i simply do not castle, and aim for a quick attack with h2-h4 early, possibly moving my king to f1, where it is safe most of the times. If white is not in shape tactically, and black is prepared, and white is not, white is as good as busted before the game even starts in my opinion.

It doesn't say what to do after 7... c5 and gives the impression that White is losing.
