Such talent you two have. First time I saw your couch I had to chuckle. One of the boats I had was a 35 foot Chris Craft and the helm seat has that set up. When you are wheeling the backrest slides back and for happy hour it slides forward for being part of the party. The other feature that I had on a different boat was a small foot pedal for running the water in the sink. Turn on pressure pump then use the foot pedal so no wasted water. You could also turn on the faucets. Little confused on the AC as I think you have a battery (power station) running a 120 volt battery charger charging a battery. Not to be a downer guy but that seems very inefficient due to power losses. Can you get a soft start on a 12volt AC unit I wonder? Now with that said if it works then it is a home run!!! Thanks for posting and I look forward to see your adventures!
I know…. It’s a tricky set up but so far so good. The company says it has a built in soft start. Hmmm?? Time will tell.
Yes the Velit has the soft start. These DC air conditioner units are a lot of power on systems. Hindsight an AC current unit would have been the answer but.... they are so big. I think we may have it figured out with a little power loss like you said. Thanks for your input, we appreciate it.
First you are WAY talented and what a conversion! Curious if power stations have power lugs so large cables like 2/0 can be connected?
@@danrandall794 no I took 10 awg to a busbar. the 30amp port has an aviator connection. Many of these power banks do most of their connections using xt60 connectors making it easy to interchange. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it

Great job overall - The counter wood is African Mahogany, referred to as sepele when milled for vertical grain as you have (also called ribbon grain) - Be careful with it as it's not as hard as "natural" mahogany, it tends to be soft enough to be easily dented/scratched but being solid wood it can always be swelled and/or sanded/refinished - You already know what I think about the ceiling over the bed.... Hoping to have a cocktail with you some time
I keep a bit of sandpaper with me for scratches and watermarks, then just rub a little butcher block oil on it. I’d be happy to have a drink with you sometime.

Very luxurious look you have there! Kudos to Jonnie for the excellent build! When you had the back doors open, it looked to me like a cross between a gypsy wagon and an Italian mansion. The only thing I would add would be mosquito netting (does it come in maroon?) for those times you want to keep the doors open but the flies, gnats, moths, and mosquitoes are searching for victims to sting, bite, dine on or otherwise annoy. Amazon sells yards and/or bolts of such netting. It's called tulle.

For many years I embraced all things Victorian and into the Edwardian Gatsby era, convinced I lived a previous life then. :) I had a red velvet couch, red, gold, ivory and gold upholstered parlor chairs and footstools, Victorian lamps, dishes, art, frames+. A favorite aunt and uncle had a gallery-like red room in their turn- of-the-century house to display family collected antiques. Your last van was adorable; this new rolling work of art grows a big smile for me, too. I look forward to those theater-like curtains opening to your next flick! It’s funny that you used the word emotional. My first night in the van I stayed at a rest area. I let the curtains down and looked at my van and just started crying. Such a sweet emotional moment for me. Happy tears are the best.

Doesn't even look like a van inside! It's absolutely fantastic!! Shoe stuck to your foot with resin - what day that must've been. Curious, Bev - why didn't you go with a tankless water heater? Also, is the air conditioner very loud? Those tin-look tiles on the sealing are insanely beautiful! So many beautiful, very clever things! Not surprised at Best in Show awards! 👍 Great luck with it!!!
The Air Conditioner is really quiet. I was leaning toward an on-demand hot water heater. Jonnie and I were concerned with the electricity draw. Thank you for your kind words and for watching the video all the way to the end.
@@BecomingBev Thanks so much for answering, Bev! I didn't realize that an on-demand would draw more power than a tank. Something to think about, for sure. I'm beyond happy to hear that the ac is quiet. The only 2 units I've heard in person were in old RVs, and they were thunderously loud. I'm really, really glad to hear that the new ones are quiet. Temp control will be an absolute must for me, if I ever manage to make a van happen.

Nice job! On the ceiling....do you know how the pvc squares are adhered? Glue, stapled? I might want to do that with mine. I've had paneling for 40 years and in areas near the front it's getting a bit faded. Thanks.

Beautiful! I passed through your area a few days ago (my first time in Missouri - stunningly beautiful) on my way to my cousin’s house outside Minneapolis. I’m resting here for a few days then headed to N.D. to work the beet harvest. I’m trying to earn enough $ to upgrade my tiny tow trailer to a lightly used Class C for two epic road trips I hope to make with my travel tribe from Louisiana to Key West then all the way up the East Coast to NovaScotia. Then next year to Alaska up the west side of the US.
Missouri is one of those under-rated states. It truly is beautiful. Your trips sound AMAZING. I’d love to do the Alaska trip too.

Hi Bev the most selling Camp Van in Europe is yours ,build by "FIAT Ducato". In the states as Dodge Ram. With the two sliding doors here its very rare too but an good idea to buy this version. I have three four foot florescent tub with switch down to one bulb conservation switching capability a little extra special covers to dim down for mood lightning, along with solar for power build up lighting . Five battery/inverter system.
We will have to seriously improve batteries if we are ever going to succeed in running up high electric bills, charging incompatible batteries. Batteries kill weaker batteries. We've been throwing batteries away all our lives . Invest in improving the battery the best investment need for the future.

Yes it is a ram Promaster 2500. I am getting about 16 mpg. It’s gasoline

My ten by seven foot living room beats out all those boxed in van storage units my full size tub does consume alot of water though. Water conservation is second to gas prices . Gas prices thee destruction of van life . That looks like a butane stove . Keep an eye an nose open for gas leaks on the gasoline heater they are very dangerous.
