I hunt on 6 acres up in north central Missouri and was looking to plant a food plot got a lot of deer in the area but not really any on the property I have killed 2 deer on it in the last 2 years what seed for a food plot would be best? It’s got some thick timber around it too.
@ lot of corn and bean fields around the property and there’s a tree line that runs thur the property and there’s two grass fields a acre each then there’s a small creek running thru it too then the food plot is about a quarter of a acre big.
I have a bunch of old dead pines with very little growth on the ground. I just am curious on how I should cut them down. I have bedding on either sides of the 40 acre property. Would love some feedback!!

Found beds on the hill on land but cant seem to see one in either early morning or even in afternoon im lost

@@NoahFam there’s so many choices and depends what’s around the property as well. How large is the plot? Is it an open field you are planting in?

@ most of the deer come at night too.I know there’s a lot of room for error so just want to be safe

Prescribed fire if you have good fire breaks. That should clean it up nicely.
The property i got permission to hunt at looks exactly like the background behind you what can i do to change and make it better if farmer lets me
