For all the Pickup trucks here in the philippines. this isuzu Dmax attracted me most
Thanks to these kind of great trucks, one can never blame people who ride pickups even if they're just daily driving them from work to home and not even letting them get a smidge of mud. Kudos Isuzu!
Great truck yes, but sadly with a steering knuckles problem. So the greatness is kinda getting less great, specially when the steering knuckles replacement, are going to cost you more than 80k pesos.

Should I get the top of line and spend more on modifying it? or Should I just get the basic 4x4 MT Variant and spend the 600k difference on mods?
D-Max has some advantages for it, but sadly also some annoying or expensive disadvantages, such as it lacks of a diff lock (when all other brands have one at this retailing price), and its steering knuckles problem reported by Australia.
The steering knuckles problem, will bring to your car 3 other problems, 1st the wheels alignement often not aligned, 2nd your tyres are gonna wear out way faster, 3rd since wheels alignement often will not be good, you'll be consuming more diesel.
I was very interested by BT-50 the twin of the D-Max, until I found those informations. It's kinda silly to buy a new car, which is featuring such a big problem.

Ang liit ng HP for a 3-liter. Sabagay may reason ang Isuzu jan probably for longevity sa engine. Kumpara sa 2.8L Toyota diesel ay 201HP na. Pero kung ma remap ang Dmax ang laki ng potential ng makina.
Gusto nila maintain yung good record nila sa fuel efficiency. 😂

And the other pickup i like is Triton but the Dmax is my number 1 choose ❤
If you like the Dmax, you should check out the Mazda bt50. It uses the same engine as the D-MAX but with a better interior.
In fact, the D-MAX’s interior was designed by Mazda themselves while Izuzu provided the engine design
Also, the lower variant of bt50 has standard cruise control, unlike dmax. On the other hand, bt50 lack cup holders in the back seat.
@@malcon273Both D-Max and BT-50 (even the MuX) also have a steering knuckles problem, which is result of a wrong and bad engineering. The replacement of it, will cost the owner over 80k pesos (yes Isuzu don't take it under the warranty).
This problem, brings 3 other problems to your car, let you guess it.

Great review Caco! It would be nice to have a comparo with all the pickup trucks available in the market. I also firmly believe that Isuzu DMax is still the best market challenger to date! Sure, it may not be a perfect truck. It may lack some new tech unlike the other brands out there. But when it comes to reliability, you know DMax is at the top of it’s game! Not to mention you can be sure that on emergency situations, you can bring it to any mechanic and have it Service with out any fuss. And who needs E-brakes?! Real Men drives with handbrakes only! 😂✌🏻🇵🇭

Nung march ko pa to napanuod, tpos bglang dinelete, anyways buti nman pinalitan na ung mags na electric fan, sna may diff lock na un mga base model na 4x4..
Towards the end in the interior shot I noticed that the diff lock button that's available in other markets appears to be blank, is that right? Does the Filipino D-Max not have a diff lock?
As per Isuzu Ph, Diff lock is limited to some units or upon request as for most consumers do not use such function

Gmc canyon mid size truck diesel is a isuzu dmax too.
I prefer the 3.0 diesel variant. 1.9 is less powerful maybe due to cost cutting that is why engine got smaller

People should also focus on 5 star safety rating of a vehicle when purchaing a vehicle this is what a lot of marketing and youtubers donn't people tell the consumer is the vehicle's safety rating, there's a huge safety difference between a 4 and 5 star rated vehicle.

Finally, they did away with those awful wheels. Another thing i wish they did was make those beautiful headlights standard even on the mid-range trims.

A tiny country like the Philippines can get the latest D MAX but ISUZU INDIA continues to dish out outdated models in India. SHAME.

Yup, all aesthetics and too expensive vs other brands.

- Infotainment system is locally sourced while the sibling bt50 gets what other markets have
- Pretty sure ride will still remain the same. Meron lang honeymoon period
Sales of Isuzu is actually fine..They're earning lots of profits from the vehicles they sell..They don't care about selling 10,000 units a year anymore as they've prioritized profits and earnings.
