I’m quite fond of the 165s - we have them on the north downs line (reading to Redhill). They are pretty comfortable and have a reasonable turn of speed, despite their increasing age. Great video, Simon :)
Reading Green Park railway station is a nice station since it opened this year. Was wondering if Chineham would have a new railway station as it’s only few miles north of Basingstoke.

the Reading to Basingstoke is a line that i ride quite alot when i travel from Reading down to Basingstoke then onto places like Winchester Southampton & Bournemouth & ive used Basingstoke several times & i always use Reading for connections & i visited Reading Green Park a few weeks after it opened & its a nice station & i filmed at Bramley back in July which is a lovely station & ill do Mortimer at some point next year & this is a nice line to ride wether its with GWR or on a XC Voyager or maby a sunday only SWR service to Salisbury anyway brilliant vlog
Great vlog Simon. I visited all the stations on this line back in the summer including Reading Green park and indeed the stations had character. Tbh Basingstoke is alright for trains as I filmed the station for the first time but apparently Basingstoke town is quite a dodgy place lol.
As Reading Green Park station is now officially opened. I do think that Chineham could do with a new railway station as Chineham is few miles north of Basingstoke. Overall Reading Green Park railway station pretty nice and does provide a good connection with Reading FC Select Car Leasing “ Madejski Stadium” stadium on the outskirts of Reading.

Bramley isn't only famous for being Bramley Yorkshire or Bramley Hampshire. The Bramley Apple is very much a Nottinghamshire thing
