A guy i worked with just did an in-frame rebuild on a dd15 when he was done he started the engine it ran for 15 minutes and shut off he spent the next two weeks trying to get it to run it was towed to a dealership the guy Wound up quitting 2 weeks later two days after he quit the dealership called us saying the injectors had been clogged with dirt and debris the three months it took to get a new cylinder head and other parts he left all the fuel lines out on a table uncovered and then never flushed them out or cleaned them before reinstalling.
Working on my own car, covered engine openings and components that were removed with painters tape or lint free towels. Will consider a vacuum, additional brushes, for cleanliness on my next repair.
