    Thank you Tanya. Your grandparents live a simple life, they are probably much happier and healthier without "modern conveniences". They have each other which the best thing of all and they have a wonderful granddaughter - blessings...

    Hi Tanya, Thank your grandparents (babushkas) for sharing their home through your video. My grandparents taught me the word "babushka" when I was little. I wish I would have paid more attention back then, but I was very young and being raised American while my babushkas were trying to raise me Russian whenever they could.
    That house is the real thing, I love that! I appreciate such things. It is historical. A true country house! It is like old America back in a time of living simply off the land. In fact, homes and such back then here in US were identical to your grandparents home complete with outdoor toilet (they were called outhouses). It just proves further that we are all the same in many ways (only I think Russians are kinder than people in US).
    Sapsiba for this video Tanya.
    All my best to you and your family.

    Do you watch Bald and Bankrupt? He does video of many rural and impoverished places, some say he is being snooty, that he think his ass does not stink and is making fun of this lifestyle? I think he just show different perspective, whether you like this or not, it is what it is. I used to live this way with outside toilet and wood burning stove, I had positive memory of these times, it was hard in ways but people would trust and help each other and we would spend lots of time together telling funny stories (absolutely No Texting) no internet and no telephone! In ways I wish to return to these times........Is this crazy thought?

    I like the house, is it called a Dacha? I don't know the difference between a house and a Dacha. By the amount of firewood she has, it must get very cold. The house reminds me of the cabins (houses made of wood logs) we have in the mountains in the US. Thank you for the little look into your grandmothers home. Spasibo.

    Wow, you are such a beautiful young lady!
    I really like learning about how people live under such harsh condition's, but I guess they are used to it and that's probably all they know! You know, in some way's I envy them, they don't have to put up with all the corrupt people in regular civilization! I wouldn't mind living way out away from everyone else, just me and a beautiful warm woman, that sounds like it would be fun!
    lol! 😁

    I agree with Sullycanuck, I may be as old as your Grandparents, and i remember living like this in Alabama. People would get together and socialize a lot, maybe play card games or just talk, no TV. Big gardens and a smoke-house where meat was salted and smoked to preserve.

    • @russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079

      smoke house - it is interesting/ Is it special place where you smoke?

    • @jeffsnider3588
      @jeffsnider3588 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079 - No, it is simple building where fish, pork, beef or other meat is salted and dried to preserve it. This was before electricity, refrigerators and freezing. The building had a large wooden salt box and an oven. Most of these did not have a floor, only dirt, no windows and only one door.

      @@russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079 , special kind of "smoke" is used for drying & preserving. If you research on the internet, you will see. Look for "smokehouse" & "diy smoked meat" - it is a type of preservation treatment for meats. Cheers!

      Certain kinds of wood are used. For example: hickory smoked meat. Hickory is a tree that grows hickory nuts. I think actual hickory trees may be growing scarcer due to diseases & climate change, though.
