Excellent footage David... this is 'my' engine, never fails to please - well in my 'books'! Stunning, just stunning panoramic, proves that one doesn't need to go lineside! That is a collosul load, and 'she' is coping admirably. The frosty conditions really work. The closing head on, and 'peg' dropping is THE perfect end. Thanks for sharing David.👌
Filmed round my neck of the woods, 46115 is a great loco and much missed last year and its snowing this morning, nicely filmed david, keep em commimg .
Thanks for posting this David it's a superb record of the run by the Scot, which as you say was a late substitute for Lord Nelson and if I remember correctly, we had a bit of an issue getting my car back on the road at Clapham because of the frost and mud but made it in time to see her again at Hellifield; I was so glad we did as there aren't many steam Specials which power through the station like that, even though I had to make a visit to a Car Wash afterwards!
Wasn’t it a cracking morning and yes me too, I think we saw 48151 there one morning too but the light wasn’t far enough round. These days, as we know, most things stop in the loop or trundle through and head down to Blackburn.
Love the way the exhaust hangs in the cold air😮 great video, many thanks 😊
Many thanks, perfect weather for steam, if only we got it more often!
That really is a superb sequence - excellent panning and wonderful wintry atmospherics.
Many thanks Keith, much appreciated. It was such a lovely morning to be out.
Just stunning shots, love the Scots.
Thanks Stuart, me too!
Its a lovely area but what fabulous conditions you had that morning.
Superb footage many thanks for sharing.
Many thanks again, absolutely - the conditions we all dream about!
Simply beautiful!
Many thanks, hard to beat steam in those conditions.
Absolutely magnificent!
Many thanks Jon, much appreciated!

Many thanks again Geo, much appreciated. It was such a beautiful morning and like you I consider this loco to be one of the all-time mainline greats.

Thanks David - all that I can add to your reply is 'that wise minds think alike' 😉👍

Many thanks Stephen, and what a beautiful neck of the woods you live in, a very pretty line trapped in a (welcome) time warp.

Gorgeous!!, certainly carries that timeless feel, on a crisp winters day with the sun lighting up the landscape, what more could you want??
Many thanks Alan, and all done and dusted by about 10 am too if memory serves me correctly!
Great video David :)
Many thanks Simon, much appreciated.
Today Scot’s guardsman is now the only one running because royal Scot’s already withdrawn from service thanks to the expiry of its boiler certificate
That was magnificent driving! The footpath crew were in full control of that amazing locomotive.
(from a Southern man!)
Scots and jubes could really excelerate if it had a good crew ,the one that could really move from a standing start is the duke...
Has Scots guardsman gone in for overhaul. Also when do the other locos go in for overhaul best wishes Philip xx
Hi Michael, SG is currently 'on blocks' at Carnforth undergoing major overall. Hope this helps.
