You can tell it’s hard for Garza to accept this praise. Not sure what happened over the years to make him seem so uncomfortable, but he should be proud of the impact he made. Regardless of the ups and downs of Suicide silence they will hold a special place in the genre. True OGs and opened the genre for many people to go explore other bands.
Bro and they fucking kill live and that’s really all that matters at the end of the day. I never got to see them with Mitch RIP but they are a staple live band in the scene and have a huge and impactful legacy
Seeing those guys next month in Warsaw along with Lorna Shore, Ingested and Rivers Of Nihil. Love how brutal the music is and how in retrospect these guys are so chill :D
I got to see these guys for Chaos and Carnage last year in Columbus they were great. And the vocalist came out and did screams on the breakdown in Death Portrait by Lorna Shore and absolutely nailed it 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Saw them earlier in the year in Nashville, TN. Alan had some type of injury the day before and was recovering from a concussion. He wasn’t able to perform so they did an instrumental set and still went tf off. One of the best new-ish bands out. Glad to see them picking up a lot of steam!! Keep bringing the heavy 💪🏻💪🏻
Chris, I watch/listen to this podcast regardless of guests bc of the impact you have made on deathcore. You deserve your flowers and then some. Thought you should know you’ve helped countless people with your gift bro🤘🏻
Distant makes so many bangers! So cool you had them on. Aw geez I literally sold my drum set to help buy my first car. I wish I just saved up longer but I was too into cars. Great podcast as always!
I had my own video I need to edit last night and I just didn't do it cuz I was so locked into this discussion. And I don't even know who this band is lol. The discussions are always just so good. I'm definitely gonna check this band out. I generally try to stay away from fast food in general but when it comes to McDonald's, the only thing I like is the mcgriddle. I don't know what it's like now cuz it's been years, but my mind was blown at how good burgers and fries at steak n shake were. That's probably my preferred fast food. Or Sheetz.
As a big fan of distant, I was really disappointed that the singer didn't want to talk to me when I came up to the table to buy some merch and try to talk to him. His phone seemed more important :/
SouthEast Asian Countries like Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia are more in Brutal Death Metal since Distant was not sure what metal genre is strong in Asia.
Thanks for having us! It was a fun one 🤘
🤘
Omgomgomg youre epic as fuck DISTnt is top teir

Came here to say the same thing. Suicide silence and white chapel are the reasons this genre is the way it is.
