The rep market for those is insane in Brazil. Nike even kept making them here for some time after they were discontinued, because they were so popular. Specially the 12 springs one.
These did not Fail they were so popular in the 2000's i literally bought 2 or 3 a different style and color of Nike Shox every year. They were so comfortable one of the most comfortable shoes i ever wore.
Here in Veracruz, Mexico the Shox model (the 12 springs model) is pretty popular, the Brazil influence is pretty heavy down here and all the youngsters use the Shox and Tn, these very alive in my hometown, even the reps sell hella fast
I think I had 3 or 4 pair total over the years. Actually started finding them at Ross there at the end but I would probably by a pair if the put them back out. I rock the Airmax 2021 which is just as wild
I had the dopest pair of shox they were black leather with like a brown stitching around the toe box with the half shox they looked so dope with a nice pair of black business pants.
Man I loved my Nike shox it wasn’t his VC model but Vince had a PE of those. They were a tank. Those and 2k8 hyperdunks were the first pair of shoes I ever dunked in.
This used to and still are a niched desire object in Brazil. I remember when I was younger the Shox were the absolute shit kids would beg their parents for. The 12 spring Shox were the peak of sneakers back in the day the RAZR phone was the peak for cellphones lmao
The Nike Shox TL (released in 2004) is in my Top 5 Sneakers Of All Time Yet! Alongside Nike Air Max Plus 3s, Nike Air Jordan 11s, Nike Air Max Plus 1s and Nike Air Max 90s!
I wore the bb4's to ball in early 2000's they were amazing for cushion and performance but certainly a heavy shoe. I played forward and centre so I didn't mind but after I twisted my ankle really bad in them, I never went back to any shoe with a raised heel that to me was their biggest drawback and I know from runners that twisted ankles in them also that it's a problem. Cool tech though everyone wanted them, esp ballers after Vince jumped over a 7ft man 😮
It sucks for my dad, he needs Nike shox for his knee as he had a serious injury when he was younger and shox were the only comfortable shoe he could find. Now he has to pay upwards of $200 for new pairs just so he can walk comfortably
I don't know, I had 2 pair all black. They was sweet to me, I never thought it would make me have a more of a vertical then what I already had, just like the shoe
I loved going to work in the Nike shox, when they stop selling them my feet got plantars fasciitis. I really wish they wouldn't have done that because I really like them
I had a custom pair made and they fell apart playing basketball right after I got them. The little shock piece fell right out. I've had a hatred for all shox shoes ever since.
I remember trying a few pairs but noticed they were heavy and very uncomfortable. I wanted to buy a pair but just didnt see it. Yeah, i agree, they were horrible.
I remember when I was young one of the first pairs of Nikes I saw was my immigrant uncle wearing a pair of shox, along w leather jacket and smart pants
I love shox and I'll still buy them when I can find new ones. The shox are NOT for jumping. They cushion your heel and arch while running. That would be a spring not a shock. A shock absorbs rebound not apply it. The Jordans with the launch pad sole is for jumping. Shox are easy on the knees and they do work when used properly. I know a lot of people that still like them including me. The Reax are a new version but they squeak. The Vapormax are good for running but the airbags pop easy. Shox do neither. Bring them back!!
These did not Fail they were so popular in the 2000's i literally bought 2 or 3 a different style and color of Nike Shox every year. They were so comfortable one of the most comfortable shoes i ever wore.
Where I'm from in the UK R4's when they dropped were massive and they held their hype all the way up to the XT's when Nike seemingly gave up on the line and continuing its innovation.
It was to give an overall idea on the principles and properties of shox technology (albeit they weren’t effective in absorbing impact and energy return)
I loved Nike Shox. I'm stinky looking to purchase a pair. Those were my shoes of choice to walk so over campus getting to class or wherever I had to be instead of waiting on the overly crowded campus buses. #GoNoles

E pensa num tenis feio
@@RogerTearspra você, como não gosta?
Australia too i remember like 10 years ago my uncles only wore shox, air maxs or TNs
@@SamucaHooperpq ele e horroroso
I had Nike shox in the year 2000 I personally love them and I feel like they were comfortable and the cushion never wore out
These did not Fail they were so popular in the 2000's i literally bought 2 or 3 a different style and color of Nike Shox every year. They were so comfortable one of the most comfortable shoes i ever wore.
I had a pair... They were uncomfortable... So I donated them.
The NIKE SHOX is more Hype'd in Europe maybe for Amerika a Fail but for us European's not
I should of reworded it to commercial failure
No they were the hottest shoe in the 2000s. So popular everyone wore them. They were highly successful here
@@GolfCourseCrew I'm sure the Nike shox was more hyped in America (especially Latin America, like Brazil)
Here in Veracruz, Mexico the Shox model (the 12 springs model) is pretty popular, the Brazil influence is pretty heavy down here and all the youngsters use the Shox and Tn, these very alive in my hometown, even the reps sell hella fast
Lived well up to the hype in the uk.
I was going to say, watches this a little confused because they were huge when I was a kid
No, it didnt 😂
I’m sure they didn’t live up to the hype performance-wise, but my fellow real sneakerheads will have an appreciation for these ❤️
Absolutely. That’s why we made this video 😎😎
Yea they didn't fail for their sales. I bought 2 or 3 pairs every year different colors and they would have different version and style each year
I think I had 3 or 4 pair total over the years. Actually started finding them at Ross there at the end but I would probably by a pair if the put them back out. I rock the Airmax 2021 which is just as wild
The Griffey Shox go! Need those!
I had the dopest pair of shox they were black leather with like a brown stitching around the toe box with the half shox they looked so dope with a nice pair of black business pants.
I had the Jermaine O'Neal shox and they were one of my top 5 pairs of shoes I've ever had. Might try to find a pair again one day 💯🎯👍👍✅
I have these pearl color changing Olympic nike shox and they were the best shoe and most comfortable shoe I ever had
The shox bombers are my fav ones 💯
After the pop out, this shoe saw a comeback. Thank kdot
Man I loved my Nike shox it wasn’t his VC model but Vince had a PE of those. They were a tank. Those and 2k8 hyperdunks were the first pair of shoes I ever dunked in.
In brazil is selling good tho
That’s what I hear

I had 5 pairs I wore them out n 2 pairs got stolen im down to 1 pair can't find them no more
Damn sorry to hear they got stolen bro
Here in brazil, nike shox is one of the highest Grail in the hoods and favelas until today....
That’s what I hear! Maybe we should do a video on it

I got this exact pair (the pair in the thumbnail) and I use them as my gym shoes now.
They comfortable?
@@NachoAverageFinds yes they are. I haven’t had any issues with them all.
@@NachoAverageFindsi found them comfortable to wear, great for working out in the gym, not so comfortable for running in..
what failed worse? Shox or the Joyrides?
Joyride for sure 😂😂
Second worst Nike I've ever owned. The only worse Nike was the original Air Max, which had the air cushion pop after just a month.
They were bracers, I think the benefit was adaptive recoil and impact reduction. Maybe I'm wrong. Most likely I'm wrong.
They just realsed them once again Sept 23rd at 6am, I got my size 12 and my son a size 10 for when he gets older.
I bought a pair of them in 2006 (I think).
While not cheap, they were quite confortable and lasted quite a long time.
But it was a pain to clean...
I remember when i was a kid the neighbors everyone have a pair of shox, i never own one
It was so hyped up! I’ll never forget it
Boing Boing Boing
Shox we’re a big part of Australian shoe culture I remember when I was growing up it was all about ASICS, tns and shox
"Boing-boing"
I loved going to work in the Nike shox, when they stop selling them my feet got plantars fasciitis. I really wish they wouldn't have done that because I really like them
I love the look of them but i brought 2 pairs recently and they are plastic and heavy.ill stick to airmax TN
I was a fan of the Shox personally. I had running shoes and multiple basketball shoes with Shox
i miss them. These new shoes are terrible. Please bring them back. I loved the way you could just wipe them down.
Bought these in 2006. After a while they started to make an annoying squeaky sound.
We played some of our best basketball games in the Nike Shox's! They were excellent sneakers!
I loved my shox. Wore some mid top basketball ones like everyday in 4th grade.
I had a custom pair made and they fell apart playing basketball right after I got them. The little shock piece fell right out. I've had a hatred for all shox shoes ever since.
The cushioning response is dependent on the weight of the wearer. If you're 120 pounds then you're probably not going to feel the cushion of he Shox.
I had like 5 pairs of them. Idk but they where popular in my area. I ran track in a pair every day in college. I loved them
Simply put, they looked like Payless shoes, or maybe they were wack and I only saw them at Payless. Actually not sure
Either way ugly shoe is ugly
I remember trying a few pairs but noticed they were heavy and very uncomfortable. I wanted to buy a pair but just didnt see it. Yeah, i agree, they were horrible.

One of the worst gimmicks the industry has seen. Saludos, Nacho!
nike shox + sweatpants + flight jacket = uniform of an east german hooligan in the 00years😂
I twisted the shit out of my ankle in a pair of Nike shox. Now that I think about it, that happened so many times.
The entire nike shox basketball like needs to make a ressurgance so we can give air jordans a break for a change..
I remember I had to memorize my multiplication table when I was in 3rd grade to get a pair of these
They also made your feet hurt walking around on st8ff springs all day
I think the Nike Shox would become a big hit if it was remade with a different outsole alone.
Shox are dope. They just dropped 12 springs in 3 colours.
Damn I'm not used to seeing a comment section like this
I wore BB4s one year in youth basketball and I thought I was the man
My second favorite shoe but very uncomfortable!
They were ugly and too basic. Plain and simple
Yo I had those BB4s in 2000 and love them to death even tho ppl told me I look like a space alien
Need the springs in the FRONT , for performance
It's still the most hyped shoe in Brasil
We still wear them in SA🇿🇦. I own a couple of them.
it also gotta be unhealthy for your feet cuz the back heelis higher up than the front sole

still have my pair, they hurt my feet they collect dust in the corner now
Sorry for the ones that love those shoes, but in my opinion those shoes are horrible 😣
Never liked Nike shox. Never. Always ugly to me
Staple in 🇬🇧 don’t know what you talking about 😂
I got 2 pair of them the gold and black and the all Black ones
In 🇲🇽 soldiers wold stop guys wearing shock shoes and Pirelli shirts . Most known for cartel members wearing those clothes. Back a few years
They where cool for the time but got played out quick
The biggest problem for me was that the heels were really ugly
The sneakers were not comfortable isp what happen
Jerry Seinfeld still rocks tf outta them
Very uncomfortable
Bro I can jump 2 feet higher with those puppies on
I still got a pair university black golds
I remember some spx boots had a spring in the heel, in the early 90s.
Remember the la gear catapult?😂
I still love the Nike Shox, especially with the 11 columns the TL, have a pair of 2019
The Boings def didn't fail in Harlem.
You spring from the ball of your foot not the heel
same ending with adidas' microbounce

They need to bring ALL of the shox back and give jordans a break..

I owned a pair of these. Was a very cool shoe
Nike shox with true religion jeans
I love Shox NZ. Best Sneaker ever for me
Vince Carter was a freak of nature bro
I trow my pair out uncomfortable
Didn’t know they didn’t do well! SHOX was MY💩!!!😎😎😎
they did very well.
my dad loves these
Nike: Lets do sports in high heels
… Vapormax inherited the idea 🔥
Rip Nike shox
If the shox where hidden it may have sold more. They just looked weird.
that would defeat the purpose...
Most women loved the shocks!
I’ll dunk in some rainbow sandals over that one 9ft French dude in the spurs 😂😂😂

People got shocks (shox) confused with springs .. one absorbs the other is explosive
