The fourth was never laid and Shinano was redesigned to be a carrier. However, Japanese engineers f***ed up while making her and left the three massive barbettes in the same deck as the hanger. This meant she had thick as hell armor but only had space for a freaking THIRTY PLANES. American carriers like Langley could hold at least 20 historically while carriers after Ranger were about 5 times that amount. She got sunk with a few torpedoes from the USS Archerfish. It was also very coincidental that at the time of Shinano's sinking, the Japanese were moving her to Kure to add her watertight bulkhead doors. Without those doors though, she sank quickly.

My favourite guns on my least favourite hull. If it could actually take hits without instantly exploding or needing to chug a heal whenever someone looks at it funny, I'd actually be interested in the Cheshire. As is however, that's a big honking nope for me.

It is impressive how Wargame deliberately gimped British ships with raised citadels to avoid their being, you know, actually good.
Because the last notable time they had a British ship with a low citadel, the playerbase wasn't exactly happy about it.
