Well played Charlie. I have been wanting to learn this tune for over 30 years. Wish you could post the sheet music somewhere. I guess I’ll just learn it by ear from your video. Anyway that was a great version. I had no idea it was Scottish though, I always assumed it was Irish.
Hi Kent, thanks. I also had previously assumed it was an Irish tune. Here's the link with a bit of history and the sheet music. tunearch.org/wiki/Annotation:King_of_the_Fairies_(The). 🤗
I've been playing The King of the Fairies on Anglo Concertina for years, but never tried it on accordion. Your version sounds wonderful so will give it a go!
Beautifully played Charlie. Thats a nice accordion you have there as well. I have now got a small collection ofJimmy Shand albums ( sheet music) and am learning Lunan bay. Would you be so kind as to play this piece so I can pay attention to your right hand fingering? I have to teach myself and go it alone but I know fingering is important. Peter

Thanks Deborah, much appreciated. ❤
Beautifully played, Charlie, as only you can! Unusual to hear it on accordian, usually more favored by violinists. Cheers
