Our tour includes a total of six elevators and four machine rooms in two different buildings.
Köpmangatan 7-11 was built in 1974 with five elevators, all original. However, only two of them were in operation as of December 2015

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Completely original treasure from 1974!!!
This elevator was recently put back into service after not being used for 10-15 years! Modernization was an option which was not taken, because it was far more expensive and not necessary at all. The repair work requried was very minimal and low cost as the elevator is still in great condition. Full height photocells have been added to make the elevator fully law compliant for transport of passengers. There are still minor issues though, mainly with the shaft door on the ground floor. It doesn't always close properly and make contact, but that was later fixed. Other than that, this elevator RUNS LIKE NEW after 40 years!!! It's a very sturdy elevator!
THe janitor was with us the whole time and the test of stop between floors was approved before filming.
The elevator got stuck with me one time, but it was quickly fixed and the filming continued.

A 40 Year old elevator in this condition...very rare to find. Also nice it has those rare old DEVE fixtures

Nice to see that they revive this one! But, it could still use a little bit of fine tuning with the levelling. In the motor room I say some Omron relays, that appears to be a well known japanse brand.
Also, are those timer relays with the dials on them?
