OMG what an elevator (aka Lift!). Absolutely amazing and this video has definitely gone into my favourites. My highlights that I liked: The ropes attached to the inside of the sheave to hold them. That ratcheting noise as the lift is moving. The size of the sheave. The floor selector at the bottom of the cabinet, would loved to have seen that moving. VERY nice video!
@@frankiefiveangels601 , he is a bit wrong about the traction part....its a drum machine...so this is not a traction lift. I have worked a lot with these lifts actually. Its in my hometown and i worked with the company who made and installed them. (actually i am related to the producer) :)
Have you ever pissed any people off by floor skipping? lol like say someone is waiting on 3rd and you floor skip back down to the basement before they can get on lol.

mrmattandmrchay can you perhaps explain why the ropes are attached to the sheave? I thought they simply passed over the sheave in a traction lift?
