Do you have any ideas for making Sapphire? And what would you scent it. This would make a fabulous project for our Girl Scouts chemistry badge! They can make their own birthstones! I just have no idea about sapphires.
We have some amazing colors for sapphires! I think LabColors would be really nice because they will give you that transparent look. Blue Mix combined with Brilliant Blue would create a lovely sapphire color. =)
Blue Mix LabColor: www.brambleberry.com/Blue-Mix-LabColor-P3011.aspx
Brilliant Blue LabColor: www.brambleberry.com/Brilliant-Blue-LabColor-P3012.aspx
Learn more about how to work with LabColors here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/diluting-bramble-berry-labcolors/
If you prefer micas, Caribbean Blue and Cellini Blue would be a beautiful mix.
Caribbean Blue: www.brambleberry.com/Caribbean-Blue-Mica-P6356.aspx
Cellini Blue: www.brambleberry.com/Blue-Mica-Cellini-Lip-Safe-Mica-P3069.aspx
As for scents, Bonsai or Crisp Cotton would smell really nice and "blue." =)
Bonsai Fragrance Oil: www.brambleberry.com/Bonsai-Fragrance-Oil-P3948.aspx
Crisp Cotton Fragrance Oil: www.brambleberry.com/Crisp-Cotton-Fragrance-Oil-P6192.aspx
Ohhhhh THANK YOU
As you say in this video, you can use any household container as a mould. I think it would be cool if you did a melt and pour soap 'challenge', where you can use any colour or fragrance and not totally necessary soap-related items like glitter, but you are only allowed to use containers from household items. I, personally, think it would be interesting!
+Phoebe Mullins Thanks so much for your suggestion Phoebe! Thanks for watching too. =)
If I wrap my soap in saran wrap how long will it last in a dark cool place?
Beautiful, Love it;)
+Xenobia Ten So glad you love it! =)
Oh you're so welcome! I love the beautifully scented, pretty-coloured cozy side of life:)
Thank so much to reply me back you are such a good helper I have learn a lot from you actually you are a real queen I have a last question as I am making handmade body lotions, sugar scrubs, creams face/ body and mud mask if I want to use only one kind of paraben preservative in all of these items which one better optiphen , optiphen Nd or optiphen plus which can I use in all of my water based products please thank you so much in advance 😀😀
+Sonu K You're very welcome Sonu! I am happy to help. =)
I think Optiphen would be a great choice for lotions, scrubs, screams and masks. We've used it in those products and it works really well! Read more about preservatives here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/lotion/talk-it-out-tuesday-preservatives/
Yet another amazing tutorial; thank you again for sharing! I think I'm going to make some of these as Christmas gifts for my co-workers :)
Just a quick question - do you have any ideas for things to do with the off-cuts from these? They are definitely far too pretty to waste!
+Sam M You're welcome, glad you like it Sam! I think your coworkers will love them. =)
Also, that is a great question! You can melt the scraps down to create another bar of soap. You can also use the little cuts as travel soaps, or embed them in another soap. We did that with the Neon Ambrosia Soap scraps: th-cam.com/video/Xj9c2rHaqfs/w-d-xo.html
would it be better to put the melted soap in refrigerator to cool and harden faster?
+serrot spikester I would recommend letting this soap harden at room temperature. If you place melt and pour in the freezer, it can actually form glycerin dew. Letting it sit at room temperature does take a bit of waiting, but the results are totally worth it. =)
Learn more about glycerin dew and how to prevent it here: www.soapqueen.com/personal-ramblings/augh-whats-that-all-over-my-soap-2/
I love your videos please make some lipsticks please reply if you will make them
Will it break if we step on it
will the glitter make your skin glittery?
Hi Krazy Karissa!
These gems would work great in silicone molds! We used one for our gems and they unmolded nice and easy. =)
Silicone molds: www.brambleberry.com/Silicone-Molds-C548.aspx
I'm definitely going to try this out right now! Unfortunately, I don't have any of the pearly white micas, can I leave the crumbled clear soap as is? I want to try & make a rose gold gem using a pearly pink mica & gold glitter *skin safe* something similar to your Amethyst soap gem.
+Julie V. They're so fun to make, I can't wait for you to give them a try! You can definitely leave the crumbled soap uncolored if you like. It will still create a really cool effect inside the soap. That rose gold combination sounds like it will make a gorgeous gemstone. You could also coat the pieces in a bit of glitter or pearly pink. =)
+Soap Queen TV Thank you for your help! I'll tag you on Instagram as soon as I'm done making my soapy gems! This seems like a fun project! Have a great day!
+Julie V. I forgot to ask you one last thing. About how much of the Pearly pink & gold glitter should I use? I'm going to use your recipe for starters.
+Julie V. Can't wait to see your soaps on Instagram! Also, are you wanting to add that color to the soap, or the little pieces beforehand?
+Soap Queen TV I want to add mostly pearly pink & just a tab bit of gold to the base and for the crumbled soap just gold glitter.
Love this video! I need to actually start making soap instead of just watching soap making videos! Haha!
+Isabella Jenkins Thank you, so glad you love it! Soap making is really fun, I hope you get a chance to try it out. =)
my birthday stone is topaz orange for November what color and scent would make a good gem stone soap?
I think Tropical Orange LabColor would capture the orange/golden hue in topaz well! You can find that colorant here: www.brambleberry.com/Tropical-Orange-Low-pH-LabColor-P4352.aspx
As for scent, Ginger Patchouli Fragrance Oil would be really nice. It's warm and slightly spicy. =)
Ginger Patchouli Fragrance Oil: www.brambleberry.com/Ginger-Patchouli-Fragrance-Oil-P6125.aspx
As a suggestion, maybe you could do a whole series of Birthstone soap! Also, maybe a birth sign soap series :)
(Please ignore my very detailed name XD)
+Master Procrastinator Thanks so much for your suggestion! We'll definitely keep that in mind for future tutorials. =)

had a friend suggest a beer melt and pour soap, is it possible and what would you recommend for the amount of beer to use
+DRM THTR I wouldn't recommend adding beer to melt and pour soap! Because melt and pour has already turned into soap, adding beer is like setting a beer on the counter. It can eventually get an unpleasant smell, or may do other weird things.
You can add beer to cold process soap though! Learn how to do that here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/how-to-use-alcoholic-beverages-in-cold-process-soap/
+Soap Queen TV Thank you for replying and answering my question . i am not interested in dealing with anything other then m & p
+DRM THTR We have an awesome beer-inspired soap melt and pour tutorial you may like! It uses our Honey Ale Fragrance Oil: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/melt-and-pour-soap/ill-have-the-honey-ale-soap-please-2/

I'm not a big M&P person - is there a similar way to get this style with CP?
+Farmhouse Flair You can get a similar look with cold process! To do so, you can pour the soap in the same mold. Then, when the soap is unmolded, you can cut it into the fun gem shapes. =)
Because cold process soap is opaque, it won't have the same clear look as melt and pour. To get a fun design, you can do an in the pot swirl for your gems! Learn how to do that here: th-cam.com/video/dXvIR0z9dy0/w-d-xo.html
Here are some great cold process recipes you can use for the gems: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cold-process-soap/neapolitan-cp-for-valentines-day/
This post talks about colorant options for cold process: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/talk-it-out-tuesday-colorants/

Hello i am new to soap making i trying go through the lye calculator on bramble berry and did add every think so at the end my show total recipe weigh after the lye % next step is oz of liquid recommended is the liquid is water weigh please do reply me back to help out
+Sonu K Hi Sonu!
That liquid can be anything you want! You can use tea, beer, milk, etc. If you're just starting out, we recommend using distilled water. That's an easy liquid to work with when making soap. =)
Learn more about cold process soapmaking here: th-cam.com/video/yR6ttCSrLJI/w-d-xo.html
My brother's birthstone is alexandrite. What do I use?
Where did you get your knives?
+Mia_The_Origanal Aren't they cute? They're called Kai Pure Komachi Knives. You can find them online, at a department store like Target or a kitchen supply store. =)
hello do u have any recipe on soap queen for solid shampoo bar for oily hairs i have really oily hairs but when i use store shampoo it strip out my hair oil but makes my scalp very dry if u have any recipe or oil suggestions to make oily hair shampoo bar thank you so much
+Sonu K We have some great shampoo bar recipes on SoapQueen.com you may like! They moisturize the hair really well. I'll include links below. =)
Sudsy Shampoo Bars: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cold-process-soap/sudsy-shampoo-bars/
Invigorating Shampoo Bars: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cold-process-soap/invigorating-shampoo-bars/
I would recommend making a small test batch of both recipes and giving them a try. If you find they're a bit too moisturizing for your hair, you can adjust the oils in the recipe. For instance, adding more hard oils like coconut or palm can make the recipe a bit more firm, which may be ideal for oily hair. =)

Is there any way we can reuse the soap we cut off?? I don't won't to waste perfectly made soap!
+Maddy Keith Absolutely! You can remelt that soap and pour it into a mold, or embed it into another soapy project. We did that in the Neon Ambrosia Soap tutorial for a fun look: th-cam.com/video/Xj9c2rHaqfs/w-d-xo.html
hello i just purchase the natural liquid castile soap base what are the uses of this soap can i use to customize my body wash , shampoo, dish wash, face wash with adding skin loving aditives out of it please any suggestion to use out of this soap
+Sonu K First of all, thank you so much for your order! You can use that liquid soap any way you like! It's great as body wash and face wash.
As for your hair, you may want to try a small amount first. The castile soap is great for skin, but may not feel great on the hair. We do have several shampoo bases you may like though! Also, castile is very soothing and skin loving, but it doesn't have the grease fighting abilities you get with a commercial dish soap. That may be something you want to test as well. =)

Posted on my birthday :D
+RS Gamer That's awesome, happy belated birthday! =)
haha thank you!
your my faveorit yutuber
+arwen 123 Saunar That is so sweet, thank you so much for saying so!
How many cups do you usually get from 2lbs of melt and pour soap?
Good question! Because weight vs. volume is different, it's a little tricky to say. Two pounds of melt and pour is 32 ounces, and a standard cup is 8 fl. ounces. Based on this, I would guess about 4 cups =)
+Soap Queen TV thank you so much!
Hi Anne Marie, just wondering if you'll be doing any more colabs with Christy Rose?
+Rachel Mahony Isn't she so fun? We don't have any collaborations planned with her right now, but we'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos. =)
I born in April, so my birthstone is diamond and it just clear soap.
But being as Aries, then it's bloodstone, I wonder how does it looks like as soap.
And I born in Wednesday, then it's amethyst or lodestone, is it okay for add magnet into the soap?
+LeonardGreenland It would be so fun to make soap based on your birthstone! You could add a bit of Iridescent Glitter to the Clear Melt and Pour for some fun sparkle. =)
Iridescent Glitter: www.brambleberry.com/Iridescent-Glitter-P3976.aspx
Clear Melt and Pour: www.brambleberry.com/Clear-Melt-And-Pour-Soap-Base-P3189.aspx
Also, I wouldn't recommend adding a magnet to your soap. I don't think it would suspend very well, and it is not intended for use on the skin.
I wonder how to make bloodstone color?
+LeonardGreenland I think a mixture of Luster Black Mica and Desert Red Mica would make a gorgeous bloodstone! =)
Luster Black Mica: www.brambleberry.com/Luster-Black-Mica-P3453.aspx
Desert Red Mica: www.brambleberry.com/Desert-Red-Mica-P6227.aspx
I don't even use bars of soap
Same
I love the way these soaps look. I have had problems with the glitter in the past though. When you use it in the shower, it can feel rough (like an exfoliant). :(
I'm sorry about that! We have found cosmetic glitter, like the Iridescent Glitter, isn't rough on the skin. What type of glitter are you using?
Iridescent Glitter: www.brambleberry.com/Iridescent-Glitter-P3976.aspx
Fine Iridescent Glitter: www.brambleberry.com/Fine-Iridescent-Glitter-P4884.aspx
Emerald Buddies!
+Anneke Wirth-Yap That's awesome! I just love the color. =)
what happens if you don't dilute the lab colors?
+2Sayurichan0 Undiluted LabColors can cause speckling or slightly different shades of the color. We definitely recommend diluting them. =)
Read more about diluting LabColors here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/diluting-bramble-berry-labcolors/
Optiphen will cover full range of microbial bacteria mold and yeast I just don't want to sell bad stuff grown in my products and self life of my products at least 1 year or more what about phenonip please reply
+Sonu K Optiphen helps protect against mold and bacteria growth, and will ensure your products have a longer shelf life. Phenonip works as well! It's a great all-purpose preservative that can be used in scrubs, lotions, etc. =)
Read more about preservatives here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/lotion/talk-it-out-tuesday-preservatives/
I love your soaps but please do a bunny soap tank you! .
I wish you would start using the soaps and show us how they use.
Thank you so much for the suggestion Kalie, we'll definitely keep that in mind! I can tell you these bars feel really nice on the skin and lather well. =)
+Soap Queen TV thank you so much for the response! Means a lot!
my birthday is in may
hello i have a question i am going to start s small business of handmade bath and body products do i need to register my products or my website to USA government /FDA and yes i am going to take the small business insurance so far i i will have on my website body lotion, sugar scrub and bath fizzy and suggestion to sell these product is there any law suit or FDA or government registration for my handmade products pls reply me back if u can help me out
+Sonu K That's awesome, congratulations on starting a business Sonu! I don't believe you need to register your website or products, but that may depend on where you're located. I would definitely recommend checking out fda.gov and your local government's website to find out more. =)
