    Thanks for the review. It's nice to see such a real world use case. Some of the more technical reviews get bogged down in specs or talk about features I don't care about. You covered the stuff we all use.

    I like this printer! I used to be an online math teacher for a virtual school and they gave all the teachers the hp printer that only prints black. Now that I homeschool I can definitely see me adding this one! Thanks for the review.

      Thanks for watching! Yes, I love it. I had the HP InkJet for years and was pleased with the quality. I switched to this because I print ALOT.

    Thank you! I see the Epson printers recommended all the time, but the ones near this price point didn't do automatic double-sided printing and I don't have time to mess with flipping every page by hand! This is the first review I've found that actually points out that the double-sided printing is automatic, so thank you for that! I currently have an HP that I really like, but the ink cartridges are so expensive!

    • @mamaknowslearning
      @mamaknowslearning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, automatic double sided printed is a must for me. The HP Instant Ink subscription is a really good option. $3.99-$11.99 are the plan options. I always went over my monthly print amount. 🙃 I used it for years before I made the switch to the Hp Smart Tank.

      @@mamaknowslearning I never decided to try Instant Ink. I'm really inconsistent with my printing. It's either binders full like you had in the video or a couple pages a week. No in-between 😂

    Thank you for this review!🤗 I always see the Epson Ecotank recommended as well, but when I went to order 1, all the models had horrible reviews. I was so confused. Plus they are big & bulky. I'm going out on a limb & ordering the HP Smart tank. Happy Homeschooling Mama! 💛

      Well, after 1 day of use, it's going back. I had a horrible time connecting to my wifi, and after I finally got my phone connected, it wouldn't connect to my wife's. Also, it kept saying printer sleeping, but wouldn't wake when I wanted to print. I hooked it directly to my pc as well. I printed a few photos, and they were really dark compared to the actual picture. It took about 3 hours to set up. I am very happy it worked for you, but it didn't for me. I picked up a Canon to try next.

    I know this video is over a year old, but I’m hoping you can answer a couple of questions for me that I can’t seem to find online. 1) Is this printer a rear loading paper or a bottom loading? 2) What is the heaviest weight paper you’ve printed on?
    My thing is, being a paper crafter, I use mainly 80#, 100# or 110# cover weight paper. I’ve never found a printer that can pull those weights from the bottom and not jam up. I appreciate your help and guidance. 😊

    • @mamaknowslearning
      @mamaknowslearning  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The printer is bottom loading. The heaviest paper I’ve printed on is heavy cardstock. Maybe around 95 lb but I’ll check to be sure.

    Thank you for the review. I bought an Epson et-2850. It has been nothing but problems. The Wi-Fi has gone out after a year and it’s of course out of warranty. I tried a Epson tank printer ET 3850 - bringing it back the lousy print quality - only 300 to 600 dpi, not mentioed on the box, abysmal at best - like draft quality. I had a HP inkjet lasted close to 5 years, with Insta ink. Sometimes I needed ink faster than they detected it - Is the tank printer similar quality to ink jet?? The little cartridges are pricey - but I want good quality prints :)

    • @mamaknowslearning
      @mamaknowslearning  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the quality is similar to the inkjet. I switched from the HP Inkjet myself. It may be better but I don’t know the max DPI for my old printer.

      I had a Epson 3640 printer a few years ago. I liked it and it had a ton of features but it was carts. I added a continues ink system after the first carts ran out. Eventually the head plugged up and it was practically impossible to clean/flush the print head. You can't easily remove it to clean it or replace it.
      I decided to go back to HP and got a 9015 from Costco. Yes it still uses cartridges, yes they are expensive, but the print quality is way better and it does everything. I liked it enough I bought a used low mileage 9025 which has two paper trays and prints even faster with the same quality. There are decent aftermarket cartridges available cheap, there are ink refill systems available and it can sit for months and still print fine, no clogs. The print head is easy to remove to clean or replace if needed too. I WANT HP to release a ink tank printer that can do everything the pro level 9025 I have can but so far low to mid-level printers like she has.
      I decided not to use instant ink because once you're on the program your paying once a month and if you decide to stop paying they disable the cartridges you have. You either have to pay the bill or buy new cartridges to get around it. My used printer 6 months in shut down my full carts because previous owner had signed up for it...

      Cartridges have their own print heads. It is why tank printers are garbage. The print heads built into the printer can neither be cleaned nor replaced.
