Wait..... WHUUTTT???!!! Did not know that.
      Explains a lot 😁🦄❤️
I am admittedly a little embarrassed as, at almost 50, I cannot be in my bathroom-any bathroom period- with a shower curtain that is closed. Even if I'm not showering. I have to open it and that gives me anxiety. Expect someone or something to be hiding behind it. Doesn't matter if it's daytime. And the curtain HAS to be partially open when I'm showering. Even then I look around the edge every minute. Whenever I have to shut my eyes to rinse my face or whatever 🤞🤞, well, that's stressful to say the least.
And all thanks to little Alfred Hitchcock film.
Thanks Robert Bloch. Thanks alot. Traumatized for life. 😱😱🤣🤣

“ “Quick-before it’s too late!” I tried not to heed him; tried to break through the paralysis which held me, and to fulfil my vow to rush down to his aid. But his next whisper found me still held inert in the chains of stark horror.”
Keep up the good work Jen and Ian and, as always, stay safe!

It reminded me of 'The Way Home', posted not too long ago, with the memory loss, the journey through the rain, and the 'trusting to instinct' as he searched for his identity. Completely different spin, of course, and Bloch's signature shout-outs are always entertaining.

I got into old weird fiction/horror through Lovecraft and this channel, and I must say the things I have read and heard from Bloch are all so wonderful. More accessible than HPL but just as frightening in a classic sort of way.

“One day a caravan of strange wanderers from the South entered the narrow cobbled streets of Ulthar. Dark wanderers they were, and unlike the other roving folk who passed through the village twice every year. In the market-place they told fortunes for silver, and bought gay beads from the merchants.”

How I could I overlook this ? What an excellent, little SPOILERS vampire story SPOILERS ! I very like mood this story invokes , all the descriptions and the mystery - those little hints about new identity of protagonist were good. That revile at the end made me think; does being undead wouldn't be worst than actual death if price for eternal life would be to hurt your loved once? I'm sure if I would come back as vampire, I would be a cool anti-hero who drink only criminals! 😂
