Thanks for posting…good to know that Mountain Lions make that chirp sound. Note to self, Do Not go looking for a cute little bird in the woods if I hear a chirping/mouse sound! I would be the curious one following the sound being the Bird Watcher that I am. I did that one time many years ago while on a canoe trip down the Peace River in Florida…following a little squeaking sound into a patch of palm plants…I startled a mama wild boar nursing her babies! I didn’t realize how fast they run! Good thing I ran faster until I reached the Peace River and swam across to the other side.
A roof top tent or offroad camping trailer would have been a good addition to your 4runner. But commenting just to say yeessssss, looking forward to seeing you in a van again. Love yourself!
You've got some really cool stuff dude! You should really do more videos and try to get more sponsorships with some of the cool gadgets you have! Nomads are always looking for things to make their lives easier!
I've been looking for a safe for my campervan, the one you have won't work but I'm looking for one that will secure into my rig and keep my stuff relatively difficult to get to, for example. And that vevor heater, do a video on how you are using that especially this time of year. I know you did some videos on dc to dc chargers and those probably got views too. 😊
I put out a video on the diesel heater recently, check my recent uploads. I love that thing! I want a vehicle big enough to install inside. I have another really cool device on the way to replace the diesel heater for outside. Vid coming up on that shortly.
I can’t lie I’m already excited for the new van build out videos again! Hahahhahahaa that vehicle seems perfect if you had a 9-5 and lived in the city so you can blend in, but since you’ve found your love for the nature side who cares about being stealthy. Love the videos and all you share w us bro! Keep living the dream!
It’s too cramped for me in the city. Gotta open and shut doors all day, every little thing is more complicated than it needs to be. When I got I figured people live in Priuses, why couldn’t I live in this thing? Sometimes the only way to know is to try. Most of the seasonal jobs I want require having a self contained vehicle and I just don’t have room. I could just get a trailer, but I still have a 19k car note that I’m a slave to.
life changes and needs change it's a lot easier changing vehicles and moving houses! It can be a challenge to find the right balance of comfort vs. freedom. I definitely would want more space too when parked for work.
Have you thought about a truck camper? I’ve seen some dirt bikes mounted on the front bumper. I’m switching my focus from a van to truck camper for ground clearance. Plus these van builders ask $$$ unless you plan to build it out yourself. Thanks for the tour! I too will miss my 4Runner when I decide to make the jump back to a pickup.
I have! I guess some people are having trouble with cooling with the bike up front, and it blocks headlights depending on the setup. I also like knowing that I can just hop in the drivers seat if things go south. It's definitely a solid option that I am still thinking about though.
I think your crazy but maybe an off road lifted trailer? Your 4runner is a little on the too nice side for doing the off roading your wanting to do and it's understandable wanting to get away from the payment associated with it. Sometimes you just have to do things a little as you go, Rome was not built overnight as the saying goes I believe. Good luck to you in your endeavors.
So true! I did think about a trailer. The 4runner is not the best towing vehicle, and I wasn't a fan of towing everywhere all the time when I had the express van/cargo trailer setup.
Come fight fires and make enough in a few months to pay that thing off and do all the upgrades. Here in Oregon. It’s a fun job and you get to travel while making money all while not spending it. Hate to see you get rid of the 4Runner. I just bought one of the last 2024’s that was available. Super stoked on it.
Congrats on the new 4Runner! You got one of the last of the great Toyota’s. I’ve been interested in wildland fighting for a long time. I’ve got some past injuries that get in the way. Maybe I could do prescribed burns?
I just used your Lasfit code to order a pair of low beam bulbs for my 2019 TRD Off Road. Hopefully, you get a kickback. What you need is VW Vanagon! It would have all the space you need.
Great video ! For the 50ah DC to DC Victron charged, 400W output power (continuous driving), how long it takes to fully ccharge the Vatrer 300Ah battery?
300 amp hours times 12.8 volts equals 3840 watt hours. If I divide that by 400 I get 9.6 hours to charge to from zero to 100. If I get the full 700 watts then I’ll get 5.5 hours. If I had a high output alternator I could use two of the victron 50 amp dc to dc chargers are charge from 0-100 in 2.7 hours.
If you make the perfect off road vehicle it will be an awful on road vehicle. Adding a bike to a reliable vehicle to get remote places makes sense to me
POSSIBLE TRADE I’ve got a ford mini bus that was previously owned by a band so it has some nice upgrades. I unfortunately haven’t been able to use it but put a bunch of money into it. It is a ford diesel with 6 wheels and a trailer hitch. Lmk if you’d be interested
Asking 24k with the platform removed and seats back in. I'm looking at early 90's chevy conversion vans, newer express vans, and 10-12 foot box trucks. I've already looked at a couple late 80's/early 90's class b RV's, but they seem like too much work to maintain. I don't want a black tank or old propane appliances.
I had a 01’ 4 runner very similar to yours I loved. I now have a 99’ 7.3 with a off grid 93’ Lance slide in with a quad, electric bike and scooter attachments for 10 years now…it’s tuff but you’re making the appropriate decision 😢
email intothemystery13@gmail.com I have removed all the camping stuff, put the back seats back in, and 270 awning back on the roof. Located near Portland Oregon
Bro, you should get a trail ranger type job where you get to hike these trails and whatnot and make sure nobody is injured or trashing the place. Imagine checking vehicles and writing ✍️ tickets 🎟️ 😂

Looking forward to the next chapter, never a dull moment on ITM13.

Thats funny, I turn most sponsorships down because I don't want it to turn into a review channel. I have a couple more in the works though.

@ yea comfort is most important. Sh!t I’m a van lifer bc of you so I’ll always support your out looks! Any thoughts on a van yet?
I’m getting ready to move to the PNW. I love my 4Runner and my Tacoma is growing on me. Good luck on your next adventure.
The PNW is a beautiful place to explore! If you can stand the lack of sunshine then you'll love it.
life changes and needs change it's a lot easier changing vehicles and moving houses! It can be a challenge to find the right balance of comfort vs. freedom. I definitely would want more space too when parked for work.
Absolutely, well said!

Looks like it will be a great weekend-warrior rig for someone. 👍
Absolutely, it's perfect for that.

Oh nice! You are going to love them. No more vw's for me. They are cool though!

Hey man been a long time subscriber. I sail the pacific coast on my sailboat. If u ever want to meet up and sail for the day let me know.
No way! I've never been out on the ocean and would love that. Are you usually anchored in one place or do you move around a lot?
I liked the astro for you 😇
It was a fun van! I think I want a little more space this time.
Pls keep us post about the Van that you are going to choose. Sprinter, Ford Transit..... Or something else?
I’ve been researching and exploring every option. I’ll definitely be making a video it.
Keep on trucking....
one way or another

I owe too much money on the 4Runner to do that right now. Thanks for the offer though, I hope you’re able to find the right person soon.
So what are you going to buy next? How much do you want for the 4 Runner?

@IntoTheMystery13 Yeah, I can understand needing more room. How many miles are on the 4Runner? What year is it?

👍
try try again. 👍
Mini bus and tw200
Definitely solid options.
🙂🙂🙂🙂
Hey Raven :)
ROCKSLIDERS from #Caliraisedoffroad … first mode for any 4x4 vehicle imo…
For sure, I’ve been relying on luck without them

haha that sounds epic.
