    I'd been using another line of product for 20+ years & this stuff changed my world. Absolutely easy to put on, smells great, feels like substantial wax vs many SiO products. Lasts great, paint & other stuff looks show-worthy after you wipe it off. I'm a massive believer in this product.

    Stuff is completely legit !!!
    I orig. applied 2 coats of Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic Wax after a clean & clay well over a year & a half ago to a 2006 Blue Steel Metallic Tundra that is always parked outside.
    I did maintain it with Ceramic Speed Shine as a drying agent during washes.
    Believe it or not there was still some decent hydrophobic action going on the side / doors . . . the hood and roof of course were due.
    I applied 2 more coats after a wash & synthetic clay yesterday & today and the results were spectacular !
    Minus the user-induced chips & scratches on a 17 year old truck, the paint looks as good as new !
    Thanks Griots for making an awesome and easy to use product !!!!

      I have a silver 2008 Tundra always outside since I got it new. Looked amazing after only using the 3 in 1 a year ago, but I am headed out to get the clay bar product this afternoon with try that this weekend. Expecting fantastic results.
      Way to go Griot’s (and of course Toyota)!

    Another outstanding Griot's product. I have been using this on my own vehicles as well as other vehicles I detail. Great gloss enhancement, great hydrophobics, and I have noticed significantly less dust accumulation over other sealants. Smells great, too!

    I just spent 3 hours cleaning a suburban and just taking a TH-cam break before I use your 3-in-1 Wax for the home run. What great timing for a refresher course. Wait I forgot I have to do the stupid tires and wheels. Maybe the inside glass with the new window cleaning cloths I picked up in your Tacoma store last week.

    I used it couple of months ago and it holds up like a real dedicated ceramic coating. I decontaminated the clear coat with a claybar, applied two coats of 3 in 1 in the 14 hour gaps, let the product cure for another 24 hours after applying the second coat. I don't have an indoor space to apply this. Say I wash the vehicle and apply in the morning....is there any issue with then driving the vehicle around during the day, etc., and leave outside overnight in a dewy environment, before then drying and applying the second coat the following morning? Will this cause an issue with curing or minimize effectiveness? ...Also what's the shelf life of the 3 in 1?

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Wesley, exposure to dew overnight during the 12-24 hour cure time may slightly diminish the protection duration. Since you do not have an indoor space to apply Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax, we'd suggest applying in the morning on a day where you can apply a second coat 12 hours later before night OR if that is not possible, simply wipe the car down with Ceramic Speed Shine the morning after but do not apply a second coat of Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax.

    • @Ray-cc2jr
      @Ray-cc2jr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisa7355 usually streaks will occur with over application or buffing so hard that you begin to remove the product. I recommend applying a light amount, give it a little time to flash and then level the product. I say level because you are not trying to remove it. I level with a low pile microfiber towel and then follow up with a light buff using a high pile towel. In some cases you may have to polish to remove any cured product that may not have been leveled before curing.

      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Foaming Surface Prep is a great way to decontaminate prior to applying Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax! Depending on how much protection is on the surface, you may need multiple applications to fully strip it if you're trying to only use Foaming Surface Prep.

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The simple answer is yes, but there’s a few things to keep in mind! When applying multiple layers of wax or sealant, always assess the protection and aesthetic properties of each. The extent of the protection will only last as long as your bottom layer provides, so you’ll want to use the more durable product as your bottom layer and allow it to cure for 12-24 hours. Your top layer will determine the gloss, shine, and hydrophobic properties, so if you’re using a super hydrophobic protectant, like Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax, it’s not particularly beneficial to put another coat of a different wax on top as you’ll sacrifice the hydrophobic properties.

      You absolutely can use Ceramic Speed Shine as a clay lubricant! Keep in mind, if you're planning to apply a longer lasting protection like Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax after you clay, you'd want to use the original Speed Shine so that Ceramic Speed Shine isn't your base protection. If you just want to add a little protection or boost the existing ceramic protection wheel doing a quick decon, then Ceramic Speed Shine is a great option. Hope that helps!

    I recently applied 3-in-1 to an old layer of Best of Show wax that was two months old. I did clay some spots with noticeable contaminants but not everywhere. There was still strong water beading from the carnauba wax.
    My question is, did i completely botch the 3-in-1 by applying it over the 2-month-old carnauba wax? I'm holding off on the second coat because i might have to start over.

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You definitely didn't botch anything! The one thing to keep in mind when layering waxes is that when applying multiple layers of wax or sealant, always assess the protection and aesthetic properties of each. The extent of the protection will only last as long as your bottom layer provides, so you’ll want to use the more durable product as your bottom layer and allow it to cure for 12-24 hours. Your top layer will determine the gloss, shine, and hydrophobic properties. So in your case, the Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax will function just as it should however you won't get the maximum life out of the protection as it will only last as long as the remaining protection provided by the Best of Show Wax.

      Hey Ryan, you absolutely can apply Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax over the top of Liquid Wax 3-in-1. When layering waxes there’s a few things to keep in mind! When applying multiple layers of wax or sealant, always assess the protection and aesthetic properties of each. The extent of the protection will only last as long as your bottom layer provides, so you’ll want to use the more durable product as your bottom layer and allow it to cure for 12-24 hours. Your top layer will determine the gloss, shine, and hydrophobic properties.

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, we'd suggest sticking with one or other! The reason being, is that your protection is only as good as the base layer or remaining amount of base layer. So if you're applying one over the other, it's not "reseting" your protection duration, it will still only last as long as whatever is left on the paint. With any wax, we always recommend stripping the surface before a fresh application and then maintaining between applications with a complimentary product, Ceramic Speed Shine or Ceramic Wash & Coat with Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax for example. Hope that helps!

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tim, we're so sorry you didn't have a great experience with Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax! You'll want to apply another coat to get rid of the streaking. Streaking with the ceramic 3 in 1 can happen for a couple reasons. Most common is over application, you want to mist it on a panel such as the hood. Use a nice thick microfiber towel such as our PFM Edgeless Detailing Towels or Microfiber Plush Edgeless Towels. Wipe the hood or panel, then use a separate, dry towel for buffing to ensure no streaks. One other thing is you want at least 4 towels per vehicle, switching them out before the towel becomes too saturated and always using a second towel for buffing. Ceramic is a very rich formula once that towel starts to feel saturated you want to switch it out with a fresh one.
      Another thing to keep in mind, because Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is a wax itself you don't necessarily need to put down a layer of wax before applying 3-in-1 Wax and may be having issues with it not working well with the wax you applied before. Also, if the wax you put down as a base layer doesn't last as long as the Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax, you'll also be getting less protection than you would if you just applied two coats of 3-in-1. Hope that helps!

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Chris, the simple answer is yes, there’s a few things to keep in mind! When applying multiple layers of wax or sealant, always assess the protection and aesthetic properties of each. The extent of the protection will only last as long as your bottom layer (in his case Liquid WX 3-in-1) provides, so you’ll want to use the more durable product as your bottom layer and allow it to cure for 12-24 hours. Your top layer will determine the gloss, shine, and hydrophobic properties. Since Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax has about double the protection of Liquid 3-in-1 Wax, you won't get the full duration of protection that Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax has to offer but you will enjoy the hydrophobic properties and intense gloss it provides.

    • @GriotsGarage
      @GriotsGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Derek, humid conditions can definitely make it harder to flash off the paint which can cause streaking. Another thing to consider is the type of microfiber you're using, you'll want a very absorbant microfiber towel, a short nap towel that isn't absorbant enough can leave excess material behind resulting in streaking. Our go-to towel is our PFM Edgeless Detailing Towel. Also, is the paint single stage?

      The only real negative, if you even want to call it that, is that your protection duration will only last as long as the remaining amount of sealant that is your base layer. When layer waxes, the extent of the protection will only last as long as your bottom layer provides, so you’ll want to use the more durable product as your bottom layer.
