- Something very special has arrived - the new granular workstation 'Tempera' from Beetlecrab.audio
It is the very first shipped customer unit number 000001 so I thought it's worth recording the quick unboxing and first time use even if I don't have any experience with it yet and only play/adjust the factory presets (canvases), sounds great and looks great! A new chapter has begun... - เพลง
super cool that you got the very first one!
yeah, I was very quick with pre-ordering it, no regrets!
Oh man, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these! Thanks for sharing.
it's worth the wait, a whole world to explore...
Well this is graintastic!
Love granular and this form factor.
Enjoy sounds at your fingertips 🔥
many thanks!
yeah, this piece of gear really had my interest last week.......(I've sworn off giving into my G.A.S. for a bit, but this thing is right up my alley)..............I just love the whole Granular vibe..............so complex and unusual.......Can't wait to hear what else you pull from it.......................#001 - how cool is that!?
It's nice to see that the Tempera actually seems to be arriving at the users' disposal ... I immediately pre-ordered one back then. Can't wait ...
Can't wait to hear more
Sounds amazing! It’s as if it’s impossible to create a bad sound with this device. One thing I’m curious on is whether this synth is intended solely as a music exploration device, or if it can also be controlled enough to be used for songwriting & collaborative purposes.
For example, is there a way to set the synth to a particular key (such as D minor for instance), so that all of the various artifacts & sounds are restricted to the set key? I think it’s fine how there’s no keyboard or particular notes to play, but would assume there’d be some way to harness the overall sound. If anyone could provide some input on this, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
Excellent
Do you still own this Tempera and if so has it become more fun? Any negatives?
Yes, still own it, drifted into sequenced / rhythmic explorations with Digitakt II recently but will definitely explore and record more with Tempera sometime soon, the update seems great and makes it even more exciting, I am not much of a player so would more likely sequence it, can't think of negatives in itself really, pretty unique device and sounds fantastic
Mine arriving soon, how is the workflow, I like the sound. Thanks for sharing! Cheers,
Awesome, enjoy when it arrives! you need a bit of time to explore it and get used to it but it's not complicated once you understand it, I recommend Red Means Recording videos, very helpful and well put together
Thanks very much.✌️
what this is insane immediately
thank you, yes, it's a fascinating instrument straight out of the box
