Another good video. Some of these expressions are peculiar to the UK.
@2:03: In the US, we use the verb "come" rather than "go," as in "coming down with a cold" or "he came down with the flu." So I'm guessing "went down" is British?
@9:03: I've never heard this in the US, but I've heard it on British TV. We use "go off" informally to mean to lose your temper suddenly, to explode (so to speak). "Go off the rails" is another informal expression meaning to start behaving in a crazy way.
@12:51: I can "suggest something TO you" or "suggest you DO something (or GO somewhere or EAT something)," but I can't "suggest YOU something."

Hey! Yes, that's true, "go down" is used more in the UK, "come down" is the American variant (I think we made a note about it in the video itself)
"Go off the rails" - amazing expression! And yes, I think coach Thiago mentions this as well, that it can be used in the meaning of losing temper. Maybe it ended up being cut out.

Grammar, I believe, is a crucial part of learning English. Even if the focus is not on grammar here, it should be given equal importance. But there is a fundamental mistake here. Please check at 1:13 . The suffix "-s" or "-es" is appended to the base form of a verb in the present tense to form the third-person singular verb ending. However, "I" is first person, so we should say “I really like the phrase” rather than “I really likes the phrase” as in the video.

This app is more effective. Here we can listen to podcasts and answer the que-card. it will increase our listening and pronunciation skills. we talk to many people using this app but there is a problem. actually, it's not a problem. I just say the speaking practice time is too short. So, if you increase the speaking time it will be helpful for us.

Hello! I learned English on my own and I'll say: in order to immediately understand the speaker, and to speak quickly, correctly and without an accent, you need to live among native speakers, otherwise it's self-deception.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It may really speed up your learning process, yes. But there's also about putting in time and effort. Many immigrants end up living in their communities and barely speaking English.
