As a customer watching the app it’s so evident that some restaurants don’t start cooking the order until the rider actually arrives. Drives me nuts as well!
I find being fast definitely makes a difference. Imagine you do 12 orders in a night, if you shave off average 3-5 mins per order, simply by not messing around, knowing short cuts, planning effectively etc. you’d allow an extra 30-60 mins of active working time. That could easily be extra 20. Sure it’ll vary but averages work out… if I’m feeling healthy one week I will definitely aim to be as fast as I can - but I have to be feeling good as i delivery on bicycle.
I was thinking if doing this but with that Gofer app he was using? I can only ride a bicycle unless I get a moped? It's the closets I will get to being a postman?
@@Pauldjreadman see if just eat do contracted work in your city. They can provide you moped and CBT, and earnings can easily be 14/hr+ with the bonus structure they offer 🤞

Hi London EATS, I have started doing uber eats on my bicycle here in Western Australia after driving in car and found that Uber pays extra for extended wait times at restaraunt and if the journey takes a little longer to deliver en route. It's worth waiting slightly longer but I do share your frustration with the wait times, I do love the delivery only kitchen model that deliveroo has over in the UK just wish we had one over here for Uber. Probably over 2 years ago at this point I started watching your channel for some reason. Just a recommended video. Always seemed like kind of a fun job but I had bigger dreams. I am now chasing those dreams and at the same time, started door dashing last week. Honestly had an absolutely blast and made a decent bit of change doing it. When I think it’s busy and it’s busy that’s how I work + my own little hacks, knowing traffic lights is also good to save time, leaving backpack jamming elevator for when you come back lifts ready, too many haks

Man, being efficient is so important. I see too many fellow drivers walk so slowly, talk to some mates, check their phone etc. I can do an extra delivery with all the time I save by being efficient!

I don't know if you've answered this in any previous videos, but is there any reason you don't do Just Eat? Crap pay structure, weird jobs, just no space in your area, etc?

Just Eat is generally slots, so you have to give your availability by midnight every Wednesday for the week after. So you could sit around, get no jobs for 3 hours and you wouldn't get paid anything.

Winter time or actually any season time good to have touring screen + extender and it’s so comfortable to ride, unless it’s 28 degrees in summer heatwave lol wearing full gear I was boiling delivering, but completely took the screen off and it was bearable 😂this winter 3 degrees and I had my visor open and didn’t get cold. My big fun bike doesn’t have a tall screen and I been out for few hours on my big bike in 5 degrees and it wasn’t pleasant without windshield

Hey London Eats just thought I'd make a comment on you wearing jogging bottoms, just be careful with those. I ride bikes too and I've seen quite a few horrific accidents where someone's been wearing joggers, fell off and the material has actually melted into their skin from road rash. Jeans or leathers are the way to go aha.

In a lift, if there is a door close button, and it is programmed to do so, if you push the door close and your floor you want at the same time it will ignore the other floor requests and take you straight to your chosen floor.

I personally think that the people ordering the food should meet you at the entrance to the apartments which is technically the front door you shouldn’t have to go wandering around looking for them.

Does anyone know if uber keeps part of tips on food delivery? here in NYC uber is taking more than 50% of tips with alcohol delivery on drizly app. In store where i work we have many orders where we order an uber courier and we ask how much tip he gets and its usually 50% less that what customer tipped... imagine customer giving $60 on drizly for an expensive bottle and u get under 30 on uber. Where is rest going?

Hi there, just a question, what if you are not able to ride the elevator, i have claustrophobia, and walk the stairs 10 or 11 floors... and the costumer doesn´t care, they just want they´re food, i think the delivery should be at the entrance of the building, it´s their home anyway, and the amount of money we get, it´s hard isn´t it...?
Never thought delivering food etc would be soo interesting as what the riders/drivers go thru, fair play to every delivery rider just trying to earn a decent wage
