    Hi Troy, great video and review of the 16" control centre from EC Offroad. About to do the big lap and looking to upgrade to this unit for our LC200 2011. Have the software upgrades made a difference, and if you had your time again, would you select this system?

      Hey Rohan! I've since sold the 200 series but in the end it was working just fine - sometimes there would be the odd thing like it would be a little slow after a very long drive, or the bluetooth wouldn't connect quickly, but it was such small issues that i was willing to put up with since it was a 12yr old car trying to communicate with new software. I know that they have since released new models that friends of mine have that they are all happy with. Definitely worth giving the EC guys a call and having a chat about options for your particular model.

    Awesome, l also 100% agree with the linx system it is great for those airbags, I also always wished l could pump my tyres up to that perfect psi like at the servo and well now l can it’s awesome! Another top vid looking forward to ep 9!

    Brilliant as always mate! Have you had the Linx for a while? Got a quote and having one installed, but with the switchboard module and traction module can get up to 8 outputs instead of the 6, might be an option for ya if you wanna get rid of switches altogether and run everything with the Linx. I have switches at the moment but like the idea you are going with of keeping it clean and everything through the Linx system which looks cool as!

      Thanks mate! Yeah I've had the LINX for about 2 years now at a guess. I think it's a fantastic bit of kit. I already have all of my driving lights put through switches so don't really see the point of getting them running through the LINX. The buttons just stay on most of the time anyways and if I'm in a rush to turn the roof light bar or the driving lights off/on it's much easier to reach down and push the button on the dash then scroll through the ARB LINX menu and find the correct button to push as you are driving down the road.

      Troy Staines yeah that’s a good point mate, glad your video came out just now cause I may have overlooked that so probably just helped me out there haha! Again loving the series mate and look forward to the last one!

    Do you know if there is a user manual available for the EC Vision and Sound screen?

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure about a manual but they have heaps of videos on their website and TH-cam channel

      @@TroyStaines Thanks - did you ever make the video about how to use it that you spoke of in the video when you show the head unit. I have one for my 2011 Sahara but it would be nice to have some instructions rather than just pushing buttons to see what happens.

      @@gregmccarthycronulla sorry Greg I never got around to it because EC had come out with their own videos and I’ve since sold the car. I still have a few mates running their screens without issue though. Best thing to do if you are having any problems is give the guys at EC a call - they know their stuff and will help you straight away!

      @@TroyStaines Thanks Troy. I only got mine a few days ago and have it working well with CarPlay but it looks like it will do so much more than I expected but I am reluctant to try to figure it out by just pushing buttons. I got mine from the local Sound Guy here in Cronulla NSW. I might give EC OffRoad a call. My car is a 2011 LC200 Sahara which I have had since new (only done 90K) but the head unit started playing up. I got this on recommendation from sound guy for Apple CarPlay but it looks like it will do so much more. My local guy is going to give me a run through tomorrow.

    Hey Troy, I just bought a 2008 Sahara and it has this screen installed, was installed by previous owner a month ago, I have a problem where I can’t use my aircon on the screen at all, when I first got the car it worked but after I did a reset to remove old owners files, it hasn’t worked since then and I can’t figure it out. Have you ran into the issue after resetting? Thanks

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah mate never had that problem! Flick Cale from EC Off-road a msg and he should be able to help you - can find them on Insta or Facebook :)

      Haha it’s good for a purpose - you just can’t expect it to be perfect in the pre-facelift models unfortunately.

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My hotspot was a bit patchy until I did an update on the unit. Give the guys at EC Offroad a call and they will talk you through it!
