Definitely recommend watching Jacob’s video on it though, it definitely makes the game more bearable to hear his commentary over gameplay.

So fighting and combat games have a long history of what is called "Cheesing the boss" That last part where you just grab the boss is a perfect example. Cheesing is where you find a simple exploit that the enemy AI doesn't know how to counter. One of my favorite was in the original mortal kombat against Goro. If you jumped straight in the air and punched Goro would keep walking into it without being able to attack you. You can get a double flawless victory this way.
20:24 Light, despite being a non-combative guy, is an icon of Shonen Jump. Even though the game is dogshit, I think having him in a position of management for the Jump Force is kinda fitting

I’ve played Jump Force… not all the way through, but I have played it. Honestly, any game that has a customizable character in it, I’ll play it (except Dark Souls, because no)
Goku Vs All Might is like a wrestler verses a trained marine with a RPG strapped to his back. All Might isn't even close to Goku's power, let alone base power. Very dumb how people put them together when it's very clear Goku wouldn't even need to power up to beat All Might. He could sneeze and win. But because games like these pit popular characters against each other, they need to make it balance for the fighters to actually compete. Since Light can't fight but he can literally kill all the cast in the game immediately by writing their names in the Death Note, or how many of the characters like Naruto, Goku, Vegeta, Dio etc are light speed in both action and reaction. You have to depower all of the heavy hitters to make the weaker characters even stand a chance.

Im sorry, i know anime versus debates are very controversial, but there is no way in hell that all might stands a single chance against post namek goku. All might might be able to destroy mountains and stuff, but during the namek saga and arguably the saiyan saga, goku could blow up a planet in base. And this goku in this game is from at least post buu, so he can go all the way to ssj3. (I cant remember if super is used in this game or not, and frankly i dont care)
I will talk about a couple of the shows mentioned since some of them are from the 80’s. First up on Saint Seiya, I am not mad that you don’t know about Saint Seiya since it’s pretty old. I am more upset about how you pronounced the name. It’s one of my favorites though. I recommend the original and not the Netflix version however. It’s about a bunch of teenage boys that are tasked by a Greek goddess into becoming Knights of the Zodiac. Seiya being the Bronze Knight of the constellation Pegasus. The Netflix one is pretty controversial due to ignoring pre-established lore and changing a major gay character named Shun, the Bronze Knight of Andromeda, into a girl despite their being a lore reason why he’s a boy. I had an attachment to the 80’s Saint Seiya anime since I was very little and it inspired my interest in Greek mythology and astronomy. City Hunter is actually one I started pretty recently and it was surprising seeing how popular it actually was. It’s about a perverted hired bodyguard that takes jobs protecting his clients (usually beautiful women) from people out to get them, alongside with his partner Kaoru who is the younger sister of his previous partner who died and she gets mistaken for a boy a lot and when our hero gets too handsy with the ladies she’s usually the one hitting him over the head with something heavy. I am enjoying the show so far even if it doesn’t have much of an overarching story. The others I either don’t know to much about or know way too much about. I have a tendency to ramble and I already rambled enough as it is.

When this game came out I was so excited because I loved it's predecessor J Stars. Plus this game had new characters that I was excited to play. LIke Asta from Black Clover one of my favorite animes. Then I got the game. And found out my main Tsuna from HItman Reborn wasn't in the game and got depressed. Other than that I actually enjoyed the game. I always love a good make your oc game
Playing this game was................something else, I had high hopes for it and tried my best to like it or appreciate the effort but it just wasn't it. JStars pretty much had everything minus the combat but even with Jump Force I felt like they didn't even do the combat right either. The roster was so unbalanced too where 80% was only Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece with like 1-2 representation of other series, then the DLC came out with even more Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece with an added of HxH, MHA, and Bleach and still making the roster unbalanced. We can all agree the story is a glorified fanboy's wet dream come true.
Sabo is Luffy’s brother. Adopted brother not his actual real brother,so yeah you shouldn’t checked out this video cause the roster from one piece are full with time skip versions of them.

I have played Jump Force, it's been a while though. Playing along side my favorite characters and using there moves was awesome, but I've never been that good at battle royal fighting games 😅 Did I repeat the same moves over and over again, yes. Until I got frustrated and ask my husband for help.😆 I did not want to fight All Might, I felt so bad.
I feel like this needs to be said: Yes, the story reads like bad fanfic. Yes, the graphics and the character designs don't always mesh well. Yes, the AI and its range of difficulty is completely absurd. Yes, the quests are all the same and VERY grindy. And yes, the aesthetic of your character was really the only thing that felt like it ever changed in customization. But when all is said and done, when it comes to the PVP, it was one of the most intense and exciting PVP experiences I've ever had. As simple as the combat system is, its fluid, EXTREMELY fast paced, as flashy as any anime fight should be, and packed with crazy high flying action, to the point where fighting against a competent player with a decent setup was an absolute rush. The one thing this game absolutely nailed, was the feel of the PVP combat. Assuming you didn't match with someone who would exploit it anyway...
It's hilarious, there won't be a Jump Force 2 at all... This game was cancelled from all platform because people didn't like it and Bandai remove it... It's sad...
Personally i wouldn't consider the complaint about spoilers to be a valid criticism. These are all long running series that have been out for a long time and some have already ended. How are you going to get people interested in a game where Luffy only has the powers of his first few arcs.

This game had potential but was horribly rushed and very poorly made. As a whole “all anime coming together” story it sucks, and as a fighting game it sucks.
The trailer of this game, for me, was fire when i saw the first time, but then when i saw the gameplay graphics in game, the models for everyone (they looked stiff and kinda bad) and the fanfiction story mode....I really didn't like it. And that's a shame, because i liked the roster and their super moves.
I bought this game heavily discounted after seeing Alpharad’s video JUST to experience the janky mess for myself. It’s exactly as bad as they say, but at least it’s entertainingly bad :)
This game is aggressively mediocre, you can probably get a decent 30 minutes of enjoyment out of it in a versus match with your buddy (provided you're both drunk) but outside of that it gets really stale really fast. One of the few things people have said is good about it is how it looks but those are people blinded by the particle effects being cranked to 200%, once you get passed that you see the game looks like it was an early PS3/X Box 360 title.
Yep I played this game. That was a pretty accurate review, although I still had fun playing. Until the fight with Prometheus when you don't have your special moves. I didn't know about the throw strat, so I beat him the hard way. It was a nightmare, I almost quit the game. But I put it down for a bit, came back, maxed out the abilities I was using, grinded about 20-25 more levels and after a few tries I finally beat him. But after all that if they fixed some issues with it they could have a good game. I'd play a Jump Force 2 if they did.
All of the characters, efects and animations shown on the video looks so ugly and dumb that is hilariois, everything looks like an animation a fan did just to mess around whit stuff. I would say the game itself looks fan made, but if a fan whit no budget had made it it wouldn't be as bad. 17:55 All might may be able to cause tornados whit a punch, but Goku can mach and surpass that level of strenght, plus he can fly, teleport and can trow long range atack whit way more than the power needed to destroy a planet, at that not only in the original dragon Ball Z, his power in super is dozens of times bigger.
So from the list of anime in this, what we've learned is that you need to bulk up on your classic anime knowledge. Except Naruto. Don't bother with Naruto. It will only make you sad.

City Hunter is an old favorite of mine. I recommend the alternate universe spin-off, Angel Heart as well.

When this game came out I was so excited because I loved it's predecessor J Stars. Plus this game had new characters that I was excited to play. LIke Asta from Black Clover one of my favorite animes. Then I got the game. And found out my main Tsuna from HItman Reborn wasn't in the game and got depressed. Other than that I actually enjoyed the game. I always love a good make your oc game
Playing this game was................something else, I had high hopes for it and tried my best to like it or appreciate the effort but it just wasn't it. JStars pretty much had everything minus the combat but even with Jump Force I felt like they didn't even do the combat right either. The roster was so unbalanced too where 80% was only Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece with like 1-2 representation of other series, then the DLC came out with even more Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece with an added of HxH, MHA, and Bleach and still making the roster unbalanced. We can all agree the story is a glorified fanboy's wet dream come true.

I have played Jump Force, it's been a while though. Playing along side my favorite characters and using there moves was awesome, but I've never been that good at battle royal fighting games 😅 Did I repeat the same moves over and over again, yes. Until I got frustrated and ask my husband for help.😆 I did not want to fight All Might, I felt so bad.
I feel like this needs to be said: Yes, the story reads like bad fanfic. Yes, the graphics and the character designs don't always mesh well. Yes, the AI and its range of difficulty is completely absurd. Yes, the quests are all the same and VERY grindy. And yes, the aesthetic of your character was really the only thing that felt like it ever changed in customization. But when all is said and done, when it comes to the PVP, it was one of the most intense and exciting PVP experiences I've ever had. As simple as the combat system is, its fluid, EXTREMELY fast paced, as flashy as any anime fight should be, and packed with crazy high flying action, to the point where fighting against a competent player with a decent setup was an absolute rush. The one thing this game absolutely nailed, was the feel of the PVP combat. Assuming you didn't match with someone who would exploit it anyway...

Personally i wouldn't consider the complaint about spoilers to be a valid criticism. These are all long running series that have been out for a long time and some have already ended. How are you going to get people interested in a game where Luffy only has the powers of his first few arcs.

This game had potential but was horribly rushed and very poorly made. As a whole “all anime coming together” story it sucks, and as a fighting game it sucks.

The trailer of this game, for me, was fire when i saw the first time, but then when i saw the gameplay graphics in game, the models for everyone (they looked stiff and kinda bad) and the fanfiction story mode....I really didn't like it. And that's a shame, because i liked the roster and their super moves.
I've read so many other fanfics that would make way better games.

I bought this game heavily discounted after seeing Alpharad’s video JUST to experience the janky mess for myself. It’s exactly as bad as they say, but at least it’s entertainingly bad :)
This game is aggressively mediocre, you can probably get a decent 30 minutes of enjoyment out of it in a versus match with your buddy (provided you're both drunk) but outside of that it gets really stale really fast. One of the few things people have said is good about it is how it looks but those are people blinded by the particle effects being cranked to 200%, once you get passed that you see the game looks like it was an early PS3/X Box 360 title.

Yep I played this game. That was a pretty accurate review, although I still had fun playing. Until the fight with Prometheus when you don't have your special moves. I didn't know about the throw strat, so I beat him the hard way. It was a nightmare, I almost quit the game. But I put it down for a bit, came back, maxed out the abilities I was using, grinded about 20-25 more levels and after a few tries I finally beat him. But after all that if they fixed some issues with it they could have a good game. I'd play a Jump Force 2 if they did.

All of the characters, efects and animations shown on the video looks so ugly and dumb that is hilariois, everything looks like an animation a fan did just to mess around whit stuff. I would say the game itself looks fan made, but if a fan whit no budget had made it it wouldn't be as bad.
17:55 All might may be able to cause tornados whit a punch, but Goku can mach and surpass that level of strenght, plus he can fly, teleport and can trow long range atack whit way more than the power needed to destroy a planet, at that not only in the original dragon Ball Z, his power in super is dozens of times bigger.
So from the list of anime in this, what we've learned is that you need to bulk up on your classic anime knowledge. Except Naruto. Don't bother with Naruto. It will only make you sad.
And not because the show is sad! Because the show is bad!
