I put a set of Grey Guns G-10 on my carry. They say they’re not interchangeable, but if you have a Dremel tool and trim the upper knob, the inside of the grip down a little bit, it will fit.
As an owner of both the standard and target P210s, I thought I would want the carry model and maybe even carry it. However, it really does not offer anything over my Sig 938 Emperor Scorpion 9mm single stack. Doesn't sound like the slide/frame action is as smooth as the all steel models. I may add one to my P210 collection, but it won't be because of its overall qualities. To be honest, I'm surprised Sig priced it close to the target model. Sig should have priced it lower than the standard model since you're getting something of a lesser quality pistol for the money. After watching your video, I'm somewhat disappointed in the carry model. Update: I recently acquired the carry model. The trigger is about 1lb heavier in pull weight over the standard or target at about 4.5 lbs. Still a very nice and crisp trigger. Accuracy is identical to what you can achieve with the standard model. Machining and finish is flawless as typical P210. The recoil spring is not captured on the carry model as it is on the standard and target models. Besides having a shorter barrel, the carry's barrel is contoured differently with a slight step as you approach the breach block. Magazines for the carry model are identical to the standard's magazines. All of the slide and frame's sharp edges are nicely broken or rounded. The carry model also has a major reliability advantage over the other models and that is the slide rails are totally enclosed in the frame when the slide is in battery. With the full size P210s, any damage or ding to the exposed front of the slide rails on either side will render repeat shots impossible as the slide will bind in the frame and not cycle. Overall a very nice pistol and a pleasure to shoot. If you are a P210 fan and love the P210 design, then add the carry model to your collection. If you are not already a P210 fan and don't understand why anyone would want this pistol, then pass on it as you'll be endlessly wondering why you did not buy a polymer wondernine with pic rail and optics cut slide instead.
After waiting for it for over two years, it was a bit underwhelming. In my opinion, this is a $1100 gun. I may pick one up if I used one comes along. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Nice review! I think if I can carry a 1911 that is $1500, why not carry the P210 "Carry"! The firearm is very clean, no crazy engravings or other frame cuts.
I put Sig X-ray sights on mine. T3 dot sights are ok but these light yrs improved. Love the gun and carry it.it’s a bit heavy but I just enjoy it so much. Outshoots my Stacatto C. THAT SAYS ALOT.
I really want one of these. I do think it’s prices too high for what it is. I was still considering one but nobody had one locally to fondle in store. I ended up going with a CZ Bull Semi Compact. Hope to pick one of these up down the road.
Thank you very much for posting this. Videos on this gun are quite rare at the moment. My thoughts: 1. I like the design of the Standard model more, but I like the smaller size of the Carry. Plus, I think it looks great in all-black furniture. 2. I definitely prefer the Standard model over the Carry for how smooth the slide cycles and lighter trigger pull. The slide cycling might smoothen up over time with use, but we'll see. 3. I like the handgrips of the Standard over the Carry. Overall, if the Carry had the same level of quality in terms of fitment and action as the Standard model, I'd buy it in an instant. Because it doesn't, I'm still sitting on the fence. When it comes to these types of guns, every detail matters to me. Unlike others, I'm not looking at these guns through the lens of practicality, I have my Glock for that. These guns are under the eyes of boutique or higher-end, where you expect diminishing returns for something that leaves you in awe.
You’re talking about two completely different handguns. I love both of handguns that you are considering and I own the 220 in 45 legion SAO. Phenomenal gun. I also love the P210 Carry. In a perfect world, I would take the P220 legion SAO and the P210 target.
The price, size and specs aren't out of line with a quality production 1911, such as a Dan Wesson. The pivoting trigger seems to be nice, though the reset seems to be a little longer than a 1911. I like the ergonomics, but I'd have to shoot it before I could make a decision. Considering I carry a Staccato C, with 8+1 capacity, I wouldn't have any qualms about carrying the P210 Carry. Thanks once again for showcasing an interesting pistol
@@jimmylarge1148 nah. The idea of this gun is for those who appreciate the p210. If you want a double stack gun, there are 10 billion to choose from. The p210 is not double stack and ruining its heritage to satisfy TH-cam millennials would be stupid.
The "Carry" moniker goes along with the rest of the Sig lineup... the "Carry" models of many P-series handguns simply refers to the full size frame with a shortened slide and barrel. The P210 hails from an era that did not focus on capacity like we do today, or the use of polymers. Comparing this pistol to a Gucci'd Glock 48 is like comparing a luxury car to a Honda Civic with stickers and a tall spoiler..... a more accurate comparison would be P210 vs 9mm 1911.
I understand your comment and you are correct. My purpose and comparing it to that particular Glock 48 was because of size and capacity. For some reason a lot of viewers are hung up on capacity and capacity only. I understand it’s purpose and this is a gun that I love. Thank you for stopping by.

Just bought a SigP210carry. 150 rounds in and it went back to Sig today. Every few rounds the trigger locks up and when you relax your finger it fires. Then the press is stiff for a few rounds , returns to normal till it seizes up again. Owned lots of Sigs, none this expensive, and this is the first problem. Even have an early run P365 and never had any issues. Luck of the draw I guess.
Well that’s disappointing! How was your experience with Sig’s customer service? Please stay in touch and let me know how this turns out. Thank you very much for watching.
They came down in price a little, they were around 1690ish. I see the appeal for those that use a target model at the range and want to carry the same. I wouldn't buy it for 2 reasons and those are capacity and the price tag for delivering quality that is still no where near the swiss made or german made P210s. Depending on hands there'll be no more hammer bite (never an issue and it's messing with the iconic look). They have so many pistol series and that one has the legend status. There should be less but the quality should be brought up even at a much higher price tag. A custom shop item separate of the other handguns. Otherwise it'll be watered down further.
It’s a single stack design. How many rounds do you need? I’d rather have a gun that is large enough to shoot well than a micro gun with a double stack mag.
@@RowdyRory it’s a single stack design. It’s not just something you can snap your fingers and redesign, test and tool up for a double stack. There are many considerations. That’s like making a double stack Luger. Why? It’s a single stack design! 9 rounds of 9mm plus a spare would get you through. If you’re going into the apocalypse, carry an AR or something.
Beautiful piece but I wouldn’t carry it for two reasons. It’s too large for my body style and it’s too large, IMO, for a single stack. I carry a Shield in 40SW with nearly the same capacity.
Nice pistol. But I would only carry it to the range because of its SA only light trigger pull and low capacity. I prefer the Sig P229 for carry, and the CZ P07 over that.
Thank you for the video, as there are not many videos on this firearm yet. I purchased this firearm several weeks ago, it was very hard to find and was not cheap as you all know. I have not taken to the range to shoot it yet, which I’m disappointed in. However, I can say without a doubt, it is a very nice and very well-built handgun. The trigger is heavier than the Target and the standard model on purpose, because it’s a Carry model and they did not want it to be as light as the other target models! Thus model still has an amazingly crisp and smooth trigger, that you will get used to very quickly. The sites are great, and the additional night sights, we’re a great improvement. The G10 grips feel wonderful in the hand and the gun fits in the hand just as well as the other models fit in the hand. I don’t think there’s any chance of slide bite with this pistol if you’re holding it correctly. By the way, I have all three models, all three US-made models!!! The magazines pop out very quickly and nicely but when you go to put them back in you have to give them a shove, I don’t think they’re hanging up because something‘s wrong with the frame or the magwell, I think it’s just the way that they were made! All you have to do, is give them a little forceful shove and they go in with no problem, and I have seen other guns exactly like this one where it is necessary to do the same thing! The carry model p210 is definitely lighter than the other models, but keep in mind it has a 4.1 inch barrel and it’s still made of metal so it’s not going to be as light as what people might think it is, but im sure if you were to carry this gun, you you would get used to it and I’m sure you’ll be fine with it with a good holster, but as of right now I was only able to find one decent holster for this gun and that is the one that is sold on the sigsauer website. Another thing to keep in mind, this gun may not be the ideal carry gun for some people! Some people want more capacity, and that seems to be one of the biggest gripes, but this model was not built and released to equal or be better than some of the other smaller and higher capacity handguns out there in certain regards! It was specifically built for people who can appreciate a very finally made and elegant/smooth operating firearm that is beautiful! People who want their carry gun to be simple, stylish, reliable, elegant, quality built, functional and definitely be a conversation piece. Not to mention, nine rounds of 9mm in a gun like this, in most cases would be plenty enough ammunition/firepower to handle most situations! The magazines are thin and light and would be easy to carry a second magazine with you no problem. On that same subject line, the p210 American made Standard magazines will fit in this gun perfectly and function flawlessly! This gun keeps it very simple and if you ever have the pleasure of firing one of these guns, you will find out very quickly, what they’re all about and will feel the quality instantly. These guns are all very accurate, even though I haven’t shot this particular version in the series yet, the other ones are the most accurate handguns I have and I have gracefully compared them and shot them with other people, who have Glocks & many other handguns! However, the P210 out shoots them all! In fact people who were shooting with me, ended up putting their guns down and shooting my P210 more than their gun for the rest of the range session! I saw another video on this gun about three weeks ago on TH-cam and it showed it having a little problem but the problem worked itself out, I noticed when I was racking the slide in the store before I purchased a gun it did the same problem one time as well. The problem is sometimes the slide doesn’t quite come all the way back after the gun is fired. Sometimes you have to give it just a little nudge but I have seen this issue in many handguns in the past and once the gun got fired some and broken in a little bit it quickly went away. I am certain that is the case with this particular model gun as well and it only happened to me one time. As far as the price goes, a couple years ago when this model was supposed to be released, the price was a couple hundred dollars cheaper! I believe they raised the price on it just like many other ammo and gun companies have raised their prices due to the material shortages and the fact that everybody else is raising their prices and they seem to be getting away with it for the most part. I think there’s a chance if they don’t sell enough of this particular model that the price will come down some. With all that being said though, I still think this gun is worth the price. For everything this gun does and is capable of doing and doing well, along with the build quality, it is absolutely worth the price! This is probably not going to be a gun that you will have for a year or two and then trade off for something else, this will be a gun that you will keep a very long time, if not for the rest of your life, and you will without a doubt enjoy shooting it and/or using it for self-defense situation‘s. Many people have carried guns larger and bulkier than this as well, so if you like the gun don’t let that be a detouring factor! Overall, this gun is aesthetically beautiful, functions well, has an amazing trigger and fits the hands very nicely. I believe this would make a very nice carry gun as well as self-defense gun in any situation! You get what you pay for! Finally I will talk just a little bit about sigsauer‘s releasing of this firearm. This is just my opinion, but keep in mind I’m a sigsauer fan and I have three of their firearms. This gun was supposed to come out two years ago from this last shot show in January of 2022. However, it was delayed according to sigsauer because of the pandemic or what most people call a pandemic, but that did not stop sigsauer from continuing an onslaught of releases of other firearms and ammunition. I stayed in contact with them throughout the last two years continuing to ask for updates and details on this firearm and when it would be released. I got conflicting stories and conflicting answers on every single phone call with the company! Most of the time they would tell me the only reason it wasn’t getting released is because the other guns they were producing brought in more money and we’re more popular than what the p210 would be! They made it very clear that they really didn’t care about the fact that they announced it at the 2020 shot show and many people were waiting and counting on this gun to come out! Some of these people had money saved for it and many other situations going on where they wanted and needed the gun, just as much as others needed or wanted p365s!! However, on many of the phone calls their customer service people were not the nicest and we’re actually quite rude about the subject of the firearm release date. They completely dropped the ball and wouldn’t even give a timeframe most of the phone calls and then some of the other phone calls they said it would be out in a few months. This was personally upsetting to me as I am a fan of the company and I’m customer of the company and I believe you treat your customers better. When you say you’re going to release some thing, you follow through and do it or you keep people updated very thoroughly and you follow through on what you said you were going to do. It Became quite obvious overtime and with the information that I was given by the customer service people that other guns of higher cost and money gain for the company took precedent, over the company’s promises!!!! At one point I had decided I was not going to purchase any more firearms from them just because of the way they handled the situation and what little care they had for some of their Fanbase. When they finally out of nowhere released this gun model, he threw out a very quick and lame video trying to promote it a little bit again. The video had several excuses that did not hold water and were proven to be false, and I can tell you the two-year delay definitely took a lot of enthusiasm away for this firearm for a lot of people. However I wanted to add this particular model to the American made collection, so I could have all three models. I’m glad I did:)
I believe there’s a very very well-made firearm and I guess it depends on what your plans are for it. If it’s something you want to buy and keep forever and handed down to your children and grandchildren, then the price of admission is not too steep. But, if it’s a gun you think you might sell in the near future, you’ll never get your money out of it. I think it would be fairly priced at 1000 or $1200. But now it’s selling locally at $1600+ tax. But that’s just me. Everybody places value differently according to their own situation. Regarding Sig Sauer, I have a video where I share my experience with them. I was having issues with my P365 XL. The slide would get stuck when dry firing. I called the company to let them know what was going on and ask for their advice what can be done about it and their response was completely insulting and condescending basically telling me that I needed to learn how to dry fire a gun. Anyway, thank you very much for watching and for taking the time to write your comment. I really appreciate it!
@@MDpolo thanks for the reply back. As far as sigsauer goes, it doesn’t surprise me that they treated you that way. I have commented on many videos and even put comments on their website about the way they have treated me and handled the situation‘s. I even told them on the phone many times they should be ashamed and embarrassed of the way they talk to their customers and treat their customers sometimes. I agree, the gun is priced a little steep, I blame sigsauer for this. It is worth the money for the most part, but the money is too much. It should be closer to about 1100 like you said. I guess for me, knowing that I have a very well-built and mechanically sound fire arm, gives me peace of mind and makes me feel like it’s worth the money. I have had other pistols that I’ve had a lot of problems that cost less than this one for sure. I enjoyed your video though, you did a very nice job
@@captainshulet Thank you for posting that I will have to check it out. I bought one from sig sauers website but I haven’t used it yet. I think it’s by Mitch Rosen
@@waterhead1359 fine but a “smaller footprint” means harder to shoot. There are always trade offs. Many people shoot the p210 exceptionally well. I’d MUCH rather carry this than some tiny pocket gun even if it has 3 or 4 more rounds. Getting accurate hits on the first 2 or 3 shots is what’s important.
I see no point in this gun and it will never be a true P210 like the original Sigs, which further lessens its value in my eyes It is a nice pistol? Im sure it is, Ive handled one in store and it has a great trigger and feels decent in hand. But if they had simply marketed this as something else I think it would've done better. Practically speaking there are loads better carry pistols than this one, even in the single stack category, even in the hammer fired (DA/SA or SAO) category, and certainly in the size and weight category. There is no real reason for this pistol to exist, and it doesnt even look good either. I would rather just have an original Sig P210/P49, or the SigUSA P210 full size/target model instead of this
You don’t need 20 rds to protect yourself
Are the grips interchangeable from the 210A to the 210C ? I think the 210C would look good with wood grips.

Thank you very much!
I found a nice holster for the Standard from Kirkpatrick Leather. They could probably make one for the Carry as well. Good luck!
@@captainshulet Thank you for posting that I will have to check it out. I bought one from sig sauers website but I haven’t used it yet. I think it’s by Mitch Rosen
I personally wouldn't carry it, even if it was 500 dollars like you said too many options that carry 15 rds or close to it
If I wanted a gun like this, I would just buy the P210 Target and call it a day. Thank you very much for watching.
Carry a spare mag if you think you need so many rounds. A single stack grip frame is great.
@Ryan Smith if I was carrying a single stack it would have a smaller footprint
@@waterhead1359 fine but a “smaller footprint” means harder to shoot. There are always trade offs. Many people shoot the p210 exceptionally well. I’d MUCH rather carry this than some tiny pocket gun even if it has 3 or 4 more rounds. Getting accurate hits on the first 2 or 3 shots is what’s important.
@Ryan Smith ok I give up you're perfect in every way
That is a beautiful gun!! If it had better capacity I would definitely carry it!
It is gorgeous and it shoots fantastic! Thank you very much for stopping by.
Why? The best 9mm totally fucked up.... The Gun is for competition.
I’m not sure I understand your comment. The P210 was originally developed for military use.
It was an issued police pistol as well.
I have owned four 210 and they are Great guns. I really dont hope that sig go all the way and start make them in plastic... The total blasfemy.
That would be a blasphemy.
💐🌹👍
Hum, looks like a cz
Well the 210s were way before CZ
I see no point in this gun and it will never be a true P210 like the original Sigs, which further lessens its value in my eyes
It is a nice pistol? Im sure it is, Ive handled one in store and it has a great trigger and feels decent in hand. But if they had simply marketed this as something else I think it would've done better. Practically speaking there are loads better carry pistols than this one, even in the single stack category, even in the hammer fired (DA/SA or SAO) category, and certainly in the size and weight category.
There is no real reason for this pistol to exist, and it doesnt even look good either. I would rather just have an original Sig P210/P49, or the SigUSA P210 full size/target model instead of this
I think it’s definitely going to be a small niche market for it. Thank you very much for stopping by. I appreciate your time.
