This ending to me is truly beautiful and deep. Despite all your efforts, all your sacrifices, all your achievements, your legacy is all that remains in the scope of time. Everything crumbles and fades with time, no matter how great the deed or large the empire. But sometimes, sometimes your deeds set the foundation for something greater than you could ever imagine to happen in the future. Our world is immeasurably ancient, an estimated 103 Billion people have come and gone during the whole of human history. Our lives are but drops in an ocean, and yet, there is still the chance to make a lasting legacy on this world through sheer will alone. That to me is a truly spectacular message.
You only forgot that the history is being told for decades to those who are curious how the past was. Worst of all is the plague was everywhere and the medicines were very rare that cure the diseases like smallpox and tb. Expert herbalists are known to cure them, but they waste years of inspecting, observing and testing which others don't. That's why they're expensive which in modern days the medicine is. Herbalists are better nowadays than back then. At least in Europe. I know some got cured from cancers in brain and heart that doctors cannot.
Oda was the first to unify Japan. He was the first to succeed. Then he was assassinated and it broke, then someone else was in power, then they were assassinated then Tokugawa became head and unified it.
Has anyone noticed that in the final scene , where you see the joggers and the businessman , you can hear a little bit of Shogun 1's original ending theme?
I found the Shimazu to be really easy compared to say the Takeda, because you can take over your island pretty easily move in on the Chosokabe, ally with the Yamana, kill the Mori, kill the Yamana then the ikko or takeda - then you are shogun
@sherbanan Makes sense, all ur doing is changing the Shogunate from Tokugawa to said Clan name, since all the clans shared a similar moral code, only their war focuses were really different. Perry wouldve come by and said "Hi" no matter which clan wouldve won, and they all wouldve concluded that they didnt want to end up like China after the Opium wars.
@SpartanD419 I really don't see how it could have been that hard. You just have to beat everyone on your little island and then push west. All your enemies will be in front of you and with that much momentum you crush them.
@AngelBiLove lol man how did you get to go to Japan i want to do it too but see the thing is i'm American maybe you know a program that can help me and lower costs i'm not the richest man alive some info would be appreciated.
The Shimazu strengths are great: the katana samurai is the most versatile single unit in the battlefield given its sole vulnerabilities are to archers and cavalry. Your ashigaru can handle the cavalry. You can get around the archers by having katana samurai charge into archers in loose formation and then close ranks when they're right in front, the devastation that follows is glorious.
@kebabpizzan1 Natsukashii....they were also my 1st clan to win with, then the Oda, and then the new updates decided it didnt want to work on my comp anymore....
+Luiz Alex Phoenix In general, nobles from all cultures, especially those who facied themselves warriors liked to be depicted on horses. Horses were expensive to maintain, so only the affluent could afford them, especially to breed and raise the kind you would take into battle. In other words, being on a horse was seen as a status symbol.
+Rokolith a horse would not at all be a big deal to someone who was known for fielding massive armies. I would consider the armor to be a bigger status symbol than the horse.
Yeah but the most intriguing is that the Takeda, who I know as the most famous cavalry from the Sengoku era, aren't the ones that get a horse on their ending. But I guess Rokolith answer makes sense. I am just unused to horses and the high upkeep they have.
+Luiz Alex Phoenix takeda shingen (the daimyo that gets the statue) was nearly never depicted on horse tho he was more of a strategist and accountant then a warrior himself. He sat back with his tessen. The one who gets a statue of the shimazu was shimazu yoshihiro which did ride a horse.
It's pretty cool how the statues change for each ending.
Ikr?? It's so nice.

The flute transitioning into an emergency vehicle siren is genius
You know what's really ironic I played the Oda and completed my first campaign and became shogun just like in the sengko period
Chat Castle10 The Tokugawa ultimately unified Japan not the oda.
Also the Tokugawa suck in this game.
@@dhruvthejarani9405 are u sure bout that?
RYANSAN 24 yea

I like the Shimazu when it comes to clome quarter combat but over all I'm loyal to the Otomo
clome quarter combat?
Gunpowder gang
Same
Same
The statue survived WW2, nice!
Assuming they went to ww2
Badass statue, ironically i actually beat the takeda on my campaign and they owned the other half of the island.
aah old shimazu, the first clan that i won with
I went to a hospital to get an x ray and i saw Shimazu xray machine…. I bow to it…
The Shimazu Statue looks more like the statue of Mogami Yoshiaki.
its yoshihiro
@@eazyd3402 I'm well aware! However, if you ever see the statue of Mogami Yoshiaki, there are similarities.

Maybe the best statue in the game!

0:25 Plot twist: Aku destroyed the village and Jack's father didn't seek revenge in Shogun franchise.
FOR THE DATE!
My favorite faction is Shimazu.
When the Shimazu Clan takes Jerusalem with a few guns 😏
apparently the shogunate still reigning until the present day
Statue of Legendary Shimazu Yoshihiro
Sadly yes... Hopeful for new DLC coming...
This statue shoud be of the Takeda clan. They are the master horses.
LOL shimazu in the future at the last part !

Let’s be honest, this isn’t your first time here…
One ending video for every clan. 情けない。
I love how he sounds proud of his accomplishments while a lot of their fellow coutryman lay dead because of the daimyo's greed.
@kebabpizzan1
Natsukashii....they were also my 1st clan to win with, then the Oda, and then the new updates decided it didnt want to work on my comp anymore....
Shimazu Samurai favorite fightin Kyushu clan ^^
@PawnshopID lol epic comeback
@mohdhmg I suppose it is because those who make the voiceback are trying to reach some Japanese accent!
that made me laugh
@AngelBiLove you need vegetables.
.. and our clans honnor and viktory will be rememberd atleast ten thousand years
like two thhousand years ago peaple walking without loking at it
Eh... Kind of. A horse standing on two legs indicates that the general died in battle :/
thats actually an urban myth and is untrue
@AngelBiLove i will bring laxitive
Shouldn't be the Takeda to have a statue with a horse in it?
Its not that takeda have copyright on horses.
