As someone who discovered Logic after TITS, it’s so amazing to see how far he’s come. You can definitely see that artists do respect his sound and craft but a lot of the media has made him to be very misunderstood. Great Video!
I started listening to Logic in 2018, when YSIV had just dropped. I fell in love with this guy’s music, it just hit all my buttons and I am still not sure why. I had listened to all of his material by 2019 (barring the YS mixtapes, I listened to those a bit later). He was one of the first rappers I ever really listened to properly, I had made a Logic fan/meme account, I really do believe that I was obsessed with this man’s music and he had such an addictive personality. As a 13 year old kid I just related to this guy. As I started to get into other rappers and really discovering my music taste, I just started to fall out of love with his music. Artists such as Denzel Curry and Kendrick Lamar came into my radar, and Logic seemed a lot blander in comparison in my opinion. Of course, I still listen to my absolute favourites from him such as Gang Related and Under Pressure, and still have the upmost respect for everything Logic stands for. This man pretty much introduced me to hip-hop and for that I will be forever grateful. PLP ❤️
keep in mind all music is completely subjective, but in my opinion his music fell off really hard from Everybody and on, a lot of re-used bars and lots of raps about nothing of substance. I love Under Pressure and T.I.T.S., and even tracks from Welcome to Forever. I wish he stayed on the trajectory his was on from his earlier stuff, but regardless Logic has a place in my heart and I'm grateful for his music.
