Paint a line on the backstop where your hands normally are same distance from the saw blade as your fixed stop is from the blade. This will help you with shorter pieces.Als0 fab a bracket welded on the back plate,in thr form of a "U" that goes over the saw blade,it will help with the cut piece discharge.
Just bought one at a auction for 100 bucks (CDN). Like your length guage idea. Wonder if your plwood support piece was shorter it would allow the cut slab to fall off easier without help
Nice saw! Could you please show me or send a pic how the gear box is mounted on the saw. I have a Ford Dearborn buzzsaw but the right angle belt pulley cannot be bolted directly to my B7100 Kubota. Any help would be appreciated, thanks from NE PA,
I bought one of these back in the 80’s. Worked great. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

Nice Ty just got one need to get it going again was a score for only $80 👍
I would love to have a buzz saw.
I want to own one. They look handy for branch material
right now about 4 inches, If I get the blade professionally sharpened, maybe more. It seems to bind in bigger pieces.

What diameter logs will it handle?
Your glade is very dull and needs to be sharpened/balanced
Sharpen your blade
And set!
