The single coin ID that doesn't feel that bad to play because of of amounts of free attack he cheat out. Full stop hong lu getting a second action slot is like half of extra action slot for cliff too. Pride dodge is amazing with BL team. Free Hong Lu attack and 10 poise potency and 1 pierce power up just to not make you feel bad. Helping Hong Lu also get his res up effect so still get an attack from Cliff. If you feel funny you can have Devyat as only 7th slot so you can sub cliff in again.
Evade's poise potency gain is insane, you can be over 20 in 2 turns with it. His potency gain in general allows him to actually crit, which is what makes 1 coin skill relevant with all the damage multipliers linked to it.
After you nuke with his upgraded skill 3 you can retreat quickly with skill1s for other better dps ids. Honglu then gets more clashing power, in exchange for Pierce frag and 20% less crit damage in skill 2 and envy generation but similar headshot damage vs if heathclif chose to stay with ammo Guess it depends.

Yeah he's strong as a stand alone as well. His poise gain is really good and so is his damage. S2 support for pierce team without Hong Lu's Target spotted is less incredible but still pretty nice. If you skip S1s you can keep ammo count going for a bit as well.

The only way to prolong his present in the battle field is dodge every time you have his S1 which consumes 3 ammo but if you doing that then his dmg is low and he just as useless. Have Hong Lu fix all his problems cause your dodge will trigger Hong Lu melee support while you saving your ammo and have a tons of buff by dodging. Hong Lu will also improve a lot by having Hearth pumping a lot of extra skill 2 (which deal a lot of dmg and stacking poise faster for Hearth) and if Hearth run out of ammo he can just sit back and provide enchanted S2 and S3 for Hong Lu.
He is good as standalone ID,he has hard hitting skill with insane damage multiplier,easy poise gain and sustain,evade as defense , great debuff and also retreat system so that way he wont weight down your team when he ran out of ammo,he is a positive generalist unit,that simply mean you could put him on any team on turn 1 for early damage boost But... With Hong lu,he gonna get alot of massive boost ,he felt like a different ID when you use him with Hong lu
What is it with heathcliff wasting the most ammo on his worst ammo skills. Its the exact same thing with rabbit too, just that concentrated fire is probably worse than his s1
Once he retreats he gets at the back of the substite units, so you'd need to have enough of your team retreat/die for his turn to come back, which can be one unit if you only had one substitue member. Outside of chain battles or if there was no backup he can't come back on the field.

@ 5-30 is not a chain battle, so he cannot come back. Your first deployed ID would get a slot instead. If you want to bring an heathcliff, Wild hunt is probably more advised, or put full stop in the back if you want Hong Lu on field. Overall for the fight they are all blunt weak, so if you've got strong blunt IDs it's advised, like N Sinclair, Regret Faust, etc, but archetypes work very fine as well. If you bring Wild Hunt Heath and Butler Outis for Sinking for exemple, or Tremor in general. Wild Heath in particular can replace his counter by skill 3 if he has enough SP and his horse, so it's a good idea to chain them. Giving him several slots by only putting 5 members can be an idea as well. If you have LCCB/Zwei Ishmael I think there is a strat to solo the fight with her and another blunt unit like N Clair I believe, attracting attacks on her with aggro and shreding the enemies with the other.
Pretty much, together they have synergy which add up quite a bit of damage completing their kits, making them dish out a ton of damage overall, some of the highest in the game.

Nah, as long as you don't use S1 his ammo lasts really long. And Fell Bullet can extend that time. Besides, if he runs out of ammo he can still come back after his retreat and reload, or support Hong Lu during his retreat.
If you still want to run 5 other BL members you'd probably want to keep all 6 of them. Otherwise with a core of 3 BL yeah it's good. It's a good poise ID so he can fit in most teams as a standalone for strong damage, though he might not last the whole fight in longer ones, so in those case you might want a backup as well. If you can run him with Hong Lu it'd be the best, but Poise is selfish so there isn't that much team synergy otherwise. With BL specifically the high number of pride skills is great for activating passive every time. But as I said if you have all 6, the bonuses you get from it might outvalue Heathcliff presence, not guaranteed though I haven't done the calculations. Though since he inflicts quite a bit of pierce fragility, he'd probably fit better in pierce teams, with Cinq members, Pequods or Pirate Greg.

For the love of god DON'T USE HIS SKILL 1 ALWAYS DODGE that skill is a trap plus his dodge gives a limbillion buffs

His skill one is the single strongest unconditional skill 1 in the game but you are never going to use it because it consumes to way to many bullets
imo heath is a 4.25 without honglu and a 5 with honglu

No, once you run out of ammo his defense skill makes him retreat. He reloads when he comes back into the battle

It's only on skills that spend Ammo, so it'd only be for Skill 3 at 7 magic bullet, so it isn't that relevant.
