On the the stage "Mono" (3-16), you can find the warp zone when you go to the right side where Bandage Girl is, and go back to the left side (beginning area). The warp zone will appear on the pillar.

The reason for The Kid's warp zone being so hard is that most character warp zones were made by the original dev, and that was one of them...

Tip: There is a glitch on steam that unlocks him easily

The first three characters were going for Bandage Girl, Flywrench was just a bug, and the Kid was chill until he was suddenly hit by an apple.
If that 2nd level in the kids level wasnt so timing precise, i would have actually beaten the third level and got the kid without using a glitch.
