Priya Singh i dont know if it is safe to take this medicine once every month, but i take a medicine known as Zupar or Combiflam. Its a great painkiller. I take it once every month for my periods as i too cant bare the pain of the 1st day. If you cant avail this medicine, search for a medicine with contents of ibuprofen and paracetamol. Trust me you will be relieved.

Main london main rehte hoon, and I am also becoming a doctor and from what you are telling me, you need to have another check up, but from a different doctor. Here in london, we have a lot of medicines to cure. But in India I am not sure what you can get. I would recommend you to get this pain killer called "ibuprofen" 500mg. If you can't find it, let me know and I will recommend you something else.

PCOD is such a common problem. I too have been dealing with it for quite sometime. Got diagnosed pretty late. So would suggest the younger girls to keep a check on your stress levels, cycles, diet and exercise. I am no doctor, just sharing my experience. Sejal, it would be nice if your mum can give some insights on PCOD diet since it's one of the major health factors for girls like me. Glad you both brought this topic onboard 😊

i have been using menstrual cup for about 2 yrs now and i am completely loving it. i would like gynaecologists like you to endorse its use over pads and tampons. also, pls share the reasons of not doing so
nope. the cup is made of silicon and creates a seal with Ur vaginal walls. once u get the hang of it, you don't feel the cup. there is a lot of info on Google and TH-cam about menstrual cup and how it works, do check it out

Great video Sejal! Just one thing, I was diagnosed with PCOD 6 years ago and the first question I was asked to find out was if anyone in my family was previously diagnosed (just to confirm if it was a dietary cause or genetic); and although no one possibly got diagnosed earlier, it's untrue that they did not have it. My grandmother (now 75) was diagnosed with PCOD in her late 50's; since obviously she didn't need to worry about conceiving she didn't have to take a lot of medications as I do. But in her youth, she did have issues conceiving as well as late and irregular periods However just to prove the fact that it's not always dietary (yes, to a large extent) but to point out that genetically inherited diabetes, cancer and PCOD could lead up to this as well. I'm not criticising, but a lot of doctors are still researching, and my PCOS support group gives out personal experiences. So hope this adds to that :) I try and promote it as much on my channel as well x
The only thing I’d add is that there are pretty effective means of fertility awareness methods used to avoid pregnancy, but that they should only be used if one is open to a possible pregnancy from making a mistake in their method.
Hi, love the initiative! What caught my attention immediately was the tampons vs. pads. A considerable number of girls these days are switching to the menstrual cup for hygiene and environmental reasons. Would be nice to add that to the list of options or make one surrounding the menstrual cup for those looking to make the switch :)

Just one thing, I was diagnosed with PCOD 6 years ago and the first question I was asked to find out was if anyone in my family was previously diagnosed (just to confirm if it was a dietary cause or genetic); and although no one possibly got diagnosed earlier, it's untrue that they did not have it.
My grandmother (now 75) was diagnosed with PCOD in her late 50's; since obviously she didn't need to worry about conceiving she didn't have to take a lot of medications as I do. But in her youth, she did have issues conceiving as well as late and irregular periods
However just to prove the fact that it's not always dietary (yes, to a large extent) but to point out that genetically inherited diabetes, cancer and PCOD could lead up to this as well.
I'm not criticising, but a lot of doctors are still researching, and my PCOS support group gives out personal experiences. So hope this adds to that :)

The only thing I’d add is that there are pretty effective means of fertility awareness methods used to avoid pregnancy, but that they should only be used if one is open to a possible pregnancy from making a mistake in their method.

Hi, love the initiative! What caught my attention immediately was the tampons vs. pads. A considerable number of girls these days are switching to the menstrual cup for hygiene and environmental reasons. Would be nice to add that to the list of options or make one surrounding the menstrual cup for those looking to make the switch :)
