    I could hear the fan going out on my 2018. Then it just stopped. This is very informative

      Hey! I noticed that the fan on my 2015 started going out about a year ago. Sometimes in winter but now consistently since it’s hot out. Did you diagnose your issue? I will probably replace both fan and resistor at the same time but I’d like to know exactly what happened

    Really clear video, and just what we needed! Thanks Andrew...

    Perfect. Exactly what I needed to fix my sprinter. Resister was broken so fan would not turn off even with key out. Your trick at the end to remove it without uninstalling the glove box was magic. Thanks!

    Very helpful and straightforward video and thanks My blower motor and resistor are working OK, but I have a very noticable "clicking" noise when I switch the ventilation from outside air to recirculating air. The sound is like the vent door is getting hung up on something. Can you advise where I should be looking to locate where this nose is coming from and what the possible cause might be?

    Thank you. Do you have a video to replace the part that changes where the air blows? I think it might be called the blend door. It is the part that changes it from defroster to vent to floor.

    My motor turns, I could access it through the engine bay. Could a faulty resistor stop the fan even coming on? I checked the fuse (no 12) it’s fine..

    What green resistor is located in engine compartment on some sprinters?

    Cool! I’ll give a try. Mine was great until las week. Sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. I’ll say 2 out of 10 times I reckon. I’ll check all the connectors just in case one of them is loose or something.

      what was the issue ?

    • @carlosayusolaslenguas5185
      @carlosayusolaslenguas5185 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@steveonomad after some testing with a multimeter I find out the blower motor had les than 8v when on. So it was the blower regulator. It was pretty new but a Chinese copy so it failed fast I reckon!

  • @dainisdakters
    @dainisdakters ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi guys! Mine stop working at all. Even regulator lights is off. Fuse is ok. How better to test is it motor or resistor? Or might be a contact group? Because radio stoped working week before also.

    My problem is just the rear ac isn't blowing. Would that be the resistor?

    My blower only works on setting 4.so.the.fan obviously works. Will it be resistor at fault?

    • @AndrewRzymski
      @AndrewRzymski  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very likely. When you're on 4 the resistor gets bypassed and the fan gets full power

    I'm going to pull the fan out on my 2015 freightliner sprinter 2500 just to clean it.... I have a feeling it needs cleaning..🤔
    I hear those fans are notorious for accumulating dust bunnies 🐰
