I've lived in Chester and Bath, and only went back to York last September, I have to admit, it is the best city in England, if not the UK. I love it. Safe, friendly, clean and full of character and history. What more do you need.
Thank you for this video! I was lucky enough to visit England last December and walked the same steps as you have in the video when I visited York with my friend. It is such a beautiful city and I fell in love instantly from the moment I exited the train station. I didn't have an ideal place in mind to live in but since visiting York, I just keep thinking that this is the city I certainly want to move to if I ever get the opportunity to do so. It is my goal now to come back again as I feel like 3 days in the city was certainly not enough! I miss it so much, and England in general. Can't wait to come back again 😊

I hope I will have the chance to live in your country in the near future! It has been my dream to visit and have always felt such strong affinity to it and it's history...which is why I am studying English lit in college 😅 But for the next time I come back, which places would you suggest I visit in and around Yorkshire? So far, I've only seen the city of York and Knaresborough..also such a picturesque and beautiful small town that I wouldn't mind coming back to.
I stayed there for a week back in 2013 at a very iffy hotel, and had a YorkPass. I'd like to go back some day before I'm too old to do it. Judging by this video, things cost a lot more than they did when I was there. Thanks for this. It was a trip down memory lane.
