I am super passionate about coffee and educating people on all aspects of this amazing drink. I love bringing the stories back from the other side of the world about how they grow and process the coffee differently in each farm, in each region, in each country. I also love helping baristas around the world make better coffee for themselves, whether they're at home, professional, competitors and or even just venturing out into the wide world of coffee.
    About Ryd!
In a world where coffee has become elitist and over-the-top hipster, Ryd is on a mission to make specialty coffee inviting and undiscriminating; creating a community of coffee lovers who want to share their thoughts, ask questions and appreciate that we are all on a journey uncovering the delights of home-brewed coffee.

You're welcome and thank you! 🙏These are my favourite videos to do but sadly, more people are interested in the device reviews. Still, I'll continue to do them and hopefully down the track they become more popular. 👌

@@Rydecoffeecoach you are simply amazing teacher of our culture! Im located in Puerto Rico and here often i rejoice in the knowledge you pour out to us your viewers. The equipment reviews are very important and relevant of course as long as they are neutral and non biased for we the “small” people base our one time crucial purchases in them. Thank you and cheers!

I have ancestors who were huge coffee farmers during the 1800s in Costa Rica and did exceptionally well. In fact, my great-grandfather x3 and 2 of his brothers came to the US (California) to try and grow coffee here, as the US wanted to tap into the coffee-growing game as well. Unfortunately, California is nothing like Costa Rica as far as consistent temperatures and rainfall, so the crops failed. But, they did wonderful things here in the US including being recognized by the City of Covina in CA as the first homesteaders of the area and one becoming the first Catholic Priest to develop churches and a clergy in North Eastern AZ. Watching this has helped me learn more about the history of Costa Rica and how things were before they came to the US in 1875 and how coffee became to be as important as it is to the country. Thank you for sharing this information!

That's wonderful history you have there! You gotta put it into a book or something, even if it's just for the generations to come. 🙌☺️ I love hearing stories like this. 🙏❤️

@@Rydecoffeecoach yes I have so many nice memories of us picking the coffee as kids, grounding and toasting just for the consumption of the house. In the past they had more plants, when they lived up higher in the mountains cause it grows better

Dear madam, your comment is respectable, however it is important that you know that the coffee you are referring to, the one that presumably you, your family or acquaintances in the United States have had access to and/or contact with, has nothing to do with the type of "Gourmet Coffee", which we produce in Costa Rica, of high quality and which does not harm the human being at all and produced without harming the environment at all. In Costa Rica we are extremely jealous, in fact sickly jealous with the adverse effects that our industry could have on the environment. That being said, we invite you to come to the country, get to know us a little and come as a family with your children, and I know that your opinion will be greatly enriched. Thanks. Pura Vida !.🇨🇷🕊

It's ok if you don't like coffee. Even some cultures and religions don't like coffee at all, on other cases it's the opposite. Here on Costa Rica it's normal that we drink coffee since we're little kids, it doesn't seem to be leading to anything bad. Many cultures around the world love coffee 💚
