My mom had stage four ovarian cancer and it was a really heartbreaking experience to have to watch her quality of life change so dramatically over the course of a year and a half to when we unfortunately lost her in 2016. Some days she felt good but she also had a lot of bad days where she was really sick and it was just awful what it did to her mentally. I was not able to be with her for her chemo appointments which i felt bad about for many years but understood she didn't want me to see her in such a vulnerable state so she asked my aunt and grandma to go with her instead which that gave me comfort a little. I miss my mom every day and she would have celebrated her 58th birthday in July
Shirley here, it sounds like your talking about my mom. The same thing with my mom she had good days where she looked like she's was going to make it and then bad days. Her whole personality changed like she wasn't the mother I remembered towards the end. It was very very sad.
I too lost my mom at the age of 58 with cancer i miss her so much

This is so tragic ,I admire her for going public for such a horrific disease ,I was a nurse on an oncology unit for five of my twenty year carreer ,I’ve been retired for 45 years now,I still remember my terminally ill cancer patients names and faces .
I’m sorry to hear that you have to go through chemotherapy. Cancer is horrible. I got cervix cancer at 31. I was a single mother with a young son and elderly parents. My son’s father was not in the picture. Thou, I had a radical hysterectomy with most of my lymph nodes taken out, I was lucky to not have chemotherapy. I still surfer from barely having lymph nodes but I am alive. You are a brave woman to bring your pain and very private stuff to show what you are going through. God Bless you child.

My best friend has stage 4 lung cancer, and my other dear friend had a brain tumour that was pre cancerous. He had it removed, only to find he now has bladder cancer. We all have our stories. I am sorry you were having such a difficult time with this. I had cancer in 2002 and had to have a double mastectomy. I had to have a port Put in at that time and I still have it. They said I could have it taken out if I wanted to but if it wasn't bothering me I didn't have to. I guess there is always a chance cancer would come back but if I needed another port they could put that in again. But as it stands right now, I have a 22-year-old port in my chest.

I have stage 4 non hodgkins lymphoma, Mantle cell lymphoma. I had to get a port for my chemo. I was very resistant to getting the chemo, I was quite a b!@#h. Angry and depression were a constant for me. So I get the anguish of having to go through something like that. I am currently in remission because of my chemo.

When you have chemo you need to cool your fingers and toes to avoid neuropathy.
This is the best piece of advice you can give a cancer patient.
I have my next chemo in 6 days and all the other patients in hospital are so strong and inspiring. You need such people around you - never the ones that just complain.

It’s stage four - my daughter had stage four ovarian cancer - she had a port - my daughter got fed up with chemo and went into hospice.
I hate cancer-
My daughter has stage 4 triple negative,breast cancer. Shes going through hell. Now in lungs,spine! Been through chemo twice. Got pneumonia this past week. She walked away from another round of chemo. Shes in pallative care. It's hard to watch. So young. God bless,your child and God ❤ be with you Shannon.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I let a good friend stay with me for a period when she was struggling with breast cancer 4+ times in ten years. I noticed she never changed up her diet. I’m sure you have but if possible stay away from anything processed food. You got this and you’re right, when we are hurt or betrayed, it makes our health so much worse, if we let it! Easier said than done but the Bible/Jesus/Holy Spirit and our father has helped me tremendously.
