    You put out some great tractor repair content...I'll be rebuilding my old b414 diesel at some point and these videos are gold.

    How do I set the timing after I set it backwards on engine rebuild? Can I slip cam out and simply rotate it

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would do the trick but you will have to have the engine upside down and pull the rocker arms to take the tension off the lifters or they will bind on the cam, you won't be able to pull it out or put it back in.
      Thanks for watching!

      Canadian Redneck that’s the only way to change the timing? I already have it hooked up on tractor

    Hello Canadian Redneck, I have a 1986 ford 3000 3cyl diesel which I'm rebuilding (bought it with a locked up motor) there is water damage inside the engine, pistons are out and preparing to do an in frame rebuild. The crankshaft will not turn. It looks like water got into the lifters and push rods and rusted things up pretty bad. Are the lifters preventing the cam and then crank from turning and if so do I have to remove the camshaft to remove the lifters? It's a nice tractor and it's got a HD loader so I'm planning on fixing it up right. Thanks for your knowledge and videos.

      I would recommend pulling the engine and carefully checking every part for rust/pitting and replacing damaged parts. Thanks fore watching!

      I don't remember right now, I'm sure I said in the video where I installed the pistons. Thanks for watching!

    Is there a problem if they get mixed up... and how do I return them?

    • @CanadianRedneck15

      I assume you mean the lifters? The theory is that they get "worn in" to the cam where they are but I don't know that it would cause a problem if you move them around. Thanks for watching!

    i have maybe a dumb question. if most of your customers need all this engine work done at your shop how do they get to your place? i mean they don't drive a tractor to you? do they use a trailer ? thanks, good work.

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a totally legit question, most of the tractors get hauled here on a trailer or tilt deck wrecker. The odd one that is from near by does get driven here if it hasn't had a catastrophic failure.

    Someone knows which is the code of the engine?

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure if this is what you mean but the engine model is a BD154. Thanks for watching!

    This is clearly the BD 154 engine does this video help with a c 153 gas engine

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the C-153 is a different engine family all together, the BD-154 is a British engine with wet sleeves, the C-153 is an American engine with sleeves cast in-block like a car engine. Thanks for watching!
