    The best comment I saw was “how does a game take 8 years yet it still feels so rushed?” Cuz it’s so true. I know others say people generally don’t play bayonetta for the story but they had a nice story line happening in 1 and 2. With 3 it feels like they just… tossed whatever stuck to the wall and hoped it was enough to close the chapter on the bayo verse. I truthfully think they’re done with bayo (and even viola if ima be honest) and want to move onto something completely new but what a lousy way to go about it 🙄

      It's literally a bunch of half baked ideas stapled together with school glue. It's the least cohesive of the 3 and it falls short in so many aspects. I mean, I would rather they have just taken more time with it instead of this being what we were left with. Or give it over to another set of developers who care more. Best thing Kamiya ever did in his career was make Bayo 1 and give the rights to DMC over.

      @mistersurrealist ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Development only started in 2017, so 5 years. The game doesn't feel rushed at all, it simply lacks polish in certain areas and is extremely polished in others. It feels a bit inconsistent because of that. Still a great experience gameplay-wise, story could definitely be better.

    Looking back, they had the perfect punishment for over relying on demon slaves with the enrage mechanic. But then they had to add an accessorie that completely negates that side of the game. I used the accessorie during my whole playthrough because it's obviously extremely strong but it made the combat in some sections pretty boring...
    Enemy design is also not helping in this regard since there are multiple enemies that just suck to fight without demons. The radar tower enemy for example is just an abomination that shouldn't exist. This guy forces you to play almost exclusively as your demon for a while AND it punishes you for not using a certain demon. They just had to place it in a witch trial as well :/

    • @YungFalcon
      @YungFalcon  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This!!!! I think the mechanic is indeed interesting and as stated in the review had some fun with it! I just also think the game overly relies on it at times...

    • @umbranelegance9034
      @umbranelegance9034 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think overall the game lacks credibility in almost all areas because it doesn't fine tune almost anything. Even to the point of the different playstyles. Bayonetta is sort of stuffed with options that she starts to feel too easy to play and really casual which makes fighting boring. On the other hand, you have Viola who feels very bare bones and not well implemented at all cause everything is balanced around Bayo. So you either have too easy, or poorly executed and limited. It's a garbage way to play and it never seems to hit that sweet spot.

    • @saaaaaaaaadasda
      @saaaaaaaaadasda ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@umbranelegance9034 Free magic is basically the reason, if you needed to build up it it would been actually more tactical and your good play would be rewarded to use them more. You have renegeration which means devs don't want you to loose it, no matter how good or bad is player, so theres no risk/reward in actually having access to them between verses. Also if Demons actually used magic on the moves themselves, spamming most powerful ones could be easily prevented. Its true that switching them is beneficial but in the game where almost every Demon (specially with artifact) is a powerhouse just by itself, its actually better to not do that to not spend any magic.
      This is one of the major concessions, along with free Torture Attacks that are relying on Demon Slaves to be triggered. It way clearly a concious decision on the devs part.

    • @umbranelegance9034
      @umbranelegance9034 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@saaaaaaaaadasda I've actually been saying this for a little while now. The game clearly lacks that risk vs reward factor that existed in previous titles albeit less so in 2. Without much of a reward for taking a risk, you just seem to not care as much about how well you're doing or if you do, it's nightmarish and unfufilling as a result. The main contender is Viola's combat sections. It'd ironic because I feel like they took risks with integrating combat differently and trying out a multiverse aspect to the story. They executed it in the WORST way possible though and the gameplay still leaves alot to be desired.

    • @saaaaaaaaadasda
      @saaaaaaaaadasda ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@umbranelegance9034 I agree, the whole magic system is turned down on its head - now you have it from the start and your main goal is not bleed it too much, which is hard to do, unless you constanlty switching. It simplifies for devs the need to fine tune every Demon and fit them all into single drain rate. Also you cant increase magic generation though taunting and the score benefit is abysmal (15%vs50 previously) so its often not worth it.
      Agree on story and Viola, irony is if that she was actually a good Nero rip-off with MGR satisfying parrying i would sing a serenades for her.

  • @orlandoboom9018
    @orlandoboom9018 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I'm now at the fifth stage of grief. In the end, multiverses mean that we'll get more Bayo in some way shape or form in the future. I just want a better executed game, Bayo 2 was perfect, it just needed Bayo1's combat depth and more better balance. Bayo4 should take a cue from 2's art direction, story telling and pacing, with 1's combat nuance and 3's Kaiju combat system. Also bring back hands and feet A/B mapping.

    Also I understand that bayo 3 isn't on bayo 1 and 2 level but both 1 and 2 have kill gods or a God at one point. So the story is saying two God killers plus and extra bayo couldn't kill a man made bio weapons hell that army of bayo couldn't kill him 🤔🤔😒

    Even though Viola's role was huge in this game I can honestly say that her only having three chapters is fine with me, I did not enjoy playing as her and it's further cemented when you have badasses like Bayonetta and Jeanne ( Umbran tears levels). Also something I don't like about the level designs in this game is how they manage to throw in the arcade style levels in each chapter, once you are into it you cannot leave I sometimes found myself closing the game entirely whenever I would replay levels just because I didn't want to deal with it. It's so polarizing because despite all it's flaws I still like the game, but when you compare it to the first two titles it just feels like a slap in the face.

    Hi man, big bayo fan since the first game, and yeah I would like to agree. Kinda sucks not being able to whip out torture attacks on a whim, the demons just by themselves also feel kinda.. empty. Like they’re a nice accent to finish a combo, but by themselves don’t have anything substantial, and the ending really sucked. Totally saw the DMC influence in full effect 😂 I’ll still be playing it, probably a few play throughs to get all the Umbrian tears. Side note : I believe it’s the first level where you can get Umbrian tears, if you do you’ll unlock the whip as an item, which was by far my favorite item to use. Cheers, hopefully they resurrect her from the dead and Viola dies immediately after.

Also whats up with the baddies in this game, really just came out of left field lol, its like this isnt the world of bayonetta it feels like a differrent franchise story with the chatacter bayonetta thrown in it.
    combat in then game is servicible, there are alot of weapons and demons to contract but no incentive to use them, there are also no flat damage increases in the skill tree just more move unlocks. i personaly finished the game only using the yoyos and godzilla, waifu summon.

      @derrickdaniels3955 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually came up with an explanation. It revolves around Bayonettas work with Enzo "jobs" shes calls them. Now Enzo is stated do business of the criminal variety in his character bio in the game and Bayonetta alludes to this in the French universe stating how Enzo on the "other side of the law might be worse". In the 1st game Bayonetta did a job for Enzo which involved killing some dude named Eggman, this shows the kind of "jobs" she does, and if she does do dealings of the "criminal or at the very least morally/legally questionable variety" then she probably has dealings with the criminal underworld which would warrant an alternate identity, one specifically for these kind of interactions she would have.

    • @SomeSprites

    • @umbranelegance9034
      @umbranelegance9034 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@SomeSprites Well canonically, it's actually given to her by Rodin in the original after he discovers her and becomes her demonsmith.
      Interestingly though, it is actually herself that dons the name. Because see, the ribbon attached to her says Bayonetta in Demon script. So when she gives her younger self (Our Protag for 3) the ribbon in the future, she thusly names herself in the events leading up to the first game and Rodin must have seen this ribbon and gave her that name since she has amnesia and doesn't remember herself. Meanwhile little Cereza must have started going by this name after she is taken back to her time.
      As to why she is named Bayonetta in the multiverse, I really don't understand why. It doesn't really make sense for it to be a mantle. It used to be just a cool name for a Witch with No Memories. I don't really remember reading anywhere about Jeanne giving her the name in childhood. It's just supposed to be a nod to how she could use guns and blades of all kinds.

    Great video
    I agreed with you on at every point but 1
    And that's violas gameplay
    Her core mechanic is her Parry
    And her Parry in my opinion is God awful for 2 reasons
    1. For some ungodly reason it's the same button for the quick dash so when you're trying to Parry it can make you do the dash into another enemy and get hit or depending on which direction you're in you could jump into the enemy and get hit by the attack you're trying to dodge
    And I also wanna know why they gave her a dodge button it's barely used
    Ik part of this stems to the fact that she doesn't have a demon masquerade and can't do the same bayo does
    A fix to this would've been to eliminate the dodge and jump away mechanic
    And make R3 her run button
    And onto my second point
    The telling and timing for her Parry is SO OFF that maybe out of every 15 parries only 10 of them actually block and maybe 3 or 4 of them activate which time while only 1 would activate a perfect witch time
    Her parries need to be adjusted or something because the mechanic along with the button layout just aren't it

    I feel them making this bayo an alternate bayo that isn't the bayo from 1+2 (which was confirmed in game) is a possible scapegoat if fans don't like it they can just write it off or retcon it as just something in another universe.
    I do with the bayonettas where more fleshed out and had deeper lore
    This game had alot of unexplained stuff
    The arch stuff was dumb since bayo multiple Jeannes and rosa was one.
    The love story was forced considering this bayo didn't experience bayo 1+2 since this is again confirmed not the same bayo and rodins discription only applies to the human world. Jubileus and asier didn't exist anymore since they where taken out in another world by another bayo.
    Ignoring that Luka and bayo didn't really have anything even in one, yeah they flirted in bayo 1 but it was never serious.. when they did it was clear bayo didn't mean it and Luka always ended up on his ass in the end.
    I'm not gonna speak on Jeanne either because she got done dirty
    But in the end the og bayo from 1+2 unfused before this bayo died and the world's we're restored... I can sleep well knowing that I believe only this one bayo died since singularity didn't kill her the others got revived when singularity was destroyed.

Literally finish the video before commenting I bring it up in viola's section as to why that gameplay formula isn't fun for me. Why would I want to summon a beast have 0 control over what it's doing and hope I get the flashy combo I want, the issue is you have to decide between no control of a demon with a nerfed combo route. Or take control of a demon with a combo route that feels clunky to pull off both of which makes combat in this Bayonetta a bit jarring. Not bad just different

    I think everyone can pretty much agree, Bayonetta 3's story is, bar none, THE WORST story in the entire series. I mean seriously, it's not even a debate. As I see it, there are two main reasons for that. And one of those reasons...unfortunately...IS Viola.
    Now, to be fair, Viola isn't carrying ALL (or even MOST) of the story's bad baggage, but she IS saddled with a sizeable chunk of it, all the same. And I say it's unfortunate because right from the get-go, it was obvious what they wanted her to be. Quite simply, the whole point of Viola was for her to be a playable analogue for LUKA...someone to be in that "bumbling sidekick" role, for whom every situation she finds herself in turns into a complete cluster-fuck...the only difference being that Viola can actually handle herself in a fight (sort of). And taking her character strictly on THOSE terms, it's easy to appreciate what they were going for and you can see the spark of a good idea here, peeking through the cracks.
    The only problem is, it's the exact same reason why every story point that revolves around her just DOESN'T WORK. It's the whole reason for shoehorning in that whole C-plot involving Luka and Faeries in the first place, because too many wheels were turning before somebody thought to mention, "Well okay, but if we're going to make THIS girl the exposition dump/comic relief...how are we gonna write in LUKA now? Because that was HIS job for the first two games". So they had to slap together something for him to do, and obviously, it was an idea that they never fully cracked and clearly just gave up on toward the end. So that whole thing doesn't play. It's also the reason why the whole idea of (at least one) Bayonetta getting killed off and having Viola take up her mantle doesn't work, because again, the whole point was to make her the bumbling sidekick and she never grows out of that. So even if you accept the fact that Platinum wanted to close the book on Bayonetta (and seriously, who WOULD?) why would anyone buy into this as even a PLAUSIBLE conclusion, let alone a satisfying one?
    All annoying grievances to be sure. But those all pale in comparison to the one element that TRULY breaks the game's story...and that's the Multiverse, itself. Because the whole idea of the Multiverse basically becomes a crutch for every lazy-ass writing decision that could possibly be crammed into one game.
    All the elements of the plot that DON'T make sense? "MULTIVERSE!"
    All the parts of the story that they don't even bother to explain? "MULTIVERSE!"
    Which isn't to say that they don't explain ANYTHING. They just don't bother to explain it IN-GAME. I mean, in Bayo 1 and 2, you at least got to hear what the bad guys wanted ("Hi, this is who I am and this is why I done what I did"). In this game, you actually have to read the Character Bios in the menu to find out that Singularity was an accidentally created Artificial Human (basically an AI) who wanted to eliminate all chaotic elements from the universe, because his whole motivation was to make the universe mathematically perfect. You even have to read the Character Bios to find out just what the hell is going on with Luka (even though it's not MUCH of an explanation, because like I said, it was an idea they never fully cracked). But yeah, apparently, none of this was even worth going to the effort of explaining in the actual game, proper. They just give you a bunch of text as an info dump.
    Like I said...LAZY. Hell, there are even subtle hints that the final scene with Viola might not actually be the Viola we played as, all game, but possibly an alternate Viola who never experienced any of the trauma and loss of Singularity's invasion (but that's another show). So Platinum may not be all that committed to the ending they've crafted here. And that's another issue with the whole "Multiverse" angle. Because Platinum can just constantly retcon anything they want now and whitewash over it with the word, "MULTIVERSE!", nothing they do actually MATTERS. So what kind of a future can the franchise have, going forward?
    At least, that's just MY thinking on it.

    • @YungFalcon

      1. Incredibly comprehensive breakdown as to why bayo3s plot is so frustrating and I'm happy to see that we aren't alone in the universe that is Bayonetta being disregarded like this XD.
      2. I 100% agree the multiverse is such a lazy and on top of the that tired concept that doesn't fit well for Bayonetta. Everything that fans complain about can just be retconed away or someone can point out something whack from a cutscene and all discussions on the issues with the game can be wiped away which imo is extremely underwhelming and for lack of a better word whack. I low key hope after bayo3 we either get dlc or platinum starts work on a new IP at this point but with the last couple games they've dropped I've been straying far away from platinum ngl...

    • @TuxedAaron
      @TuxedAaron ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YungFalcon Well, to be honest, as I was playing through, I really had to wonder if part of the problem was that Platinum just wasn't in the right headspace for this game, to begin with. For years, they've been working on darker titles like the Nier games and Astral Chain. And honestly...I think it kind of "corrupted" them, for lack of a better word. Because honestly, I think they forgot..."Hey, this is BAYONETTA we're talking about. We're not about failure after failure after failure and worlds dying and existential dread. That's not what we do here. Damn it, we're supposed to be having FUN, right?!".
      Not that the first two Bayonetta games didn't have dark and tense moments. But that's all they were...just MOMENTS. I mean, yes, what happened to Bayonetta's parents, and to Jeanne in the second game, were supposed to be tragic. They were the downer notes that added texture by undercutting what, on the surface, APPEARED to be the coolest existence possible...having super powers, casually fighting off ethereal interlopers and just calmly strutting through life, with absolutely ZERO fucks given, because there are absolutely ZERO consequences to anything you do. Even as Bayonetta is venturing into the depths of Inferno to rescue Jeanne's soul in Bayo 2, you never once see her lose her smile or stop having fun with it, because she never once doubts that she'll succeed. This time around, though, it's like they flipped the script. Now, it feels more like what WAS the game's overall sense of frivolity is what's been pared down to just moments, while the darkness takes hold of the story, overall.
      Although if you think about it, the argument COULD be made that this whole "Multiverse" angle really is the ultimate example of Bayonetta's consequence-free life. Already, theories are starting to swirl about the ending, how even as the Bayonetta we were playing as still died, all the other incarnations and universes that Singularity absorbed were restored after his destruction. And like I said, there are even subtle hints that the final scene with Viola might actually be an alternate Viola. And that's really the thing, isn't it? I mean, because the whole thing is "Multiverse" now, you can pretty much do whatever you want and in another universe, none of that happened. Like I said...LAZY WRITING.
      Not that Platinum's been all that on the ball with their writing these days. You mentioned how you didn't care for Astral Chain. And I know we may be in the minority on this, but honestly, I didn't either. Yeah, I'll say it, the parts that worked REALLY worked. But the parts that sucked...REALLY sucked.

    • @YungFalcon
      @YungFalcon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fr I think the explanation here holds merits part of why astral chain didn't hit for me (aside from let's be real a pretty bad storyline that was the most predictable and safe thing you could pull off in a vaguely cyberpunk world and so so gameplay) was the dread the plot left it's just so depressing and when the comedy is there it just feels undeserved, as for Nier automata while a dark game I think the message overall is a positive uplifting one, but in classic modern platinum fashion they only saw surface level. I recall interviews with yoko taro (don't quote me here it's been awhile XD) where he discussed how working with platinum was difficult because they didn't understand anything about subtle/environmental story telling. Hell even babalyons fall is a very depressing dark mess

    • @TuxedAaron
      @TuxedAaron ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@YungFalcon Well, part of my issue with Astral Chain was their "let's throw everything at the wall that we've ever done in a video game before" approach to the gameplay...even the stuff that they could never got to work right. You know, things like the slash mechanic, which sucks every bit as much as it did in Metal Gear Rising.
      But it is true that the story's not much better. The goal with Astral Chain was to do what they originally did with Bayonetta and try to basically present their own anime mini series in video game form. The problem is that it gets too cliche in parts and in others, overreaches by trying to be too clever by half.
      I mean, you knew all along that the guy running the show was up to no good. So you're obviously wondering what he's gonna do when you kill the bad guy and open the floodgates for him. But at the climax, when you find out that his whole scheme amounts to him basically just wanting to do the exact same thing the bad guy wanted to do, "but with a twist", you really can't help but go, "Seriously? THAT was the best you guys could come up with?"
      And what's worse is how it led into a universal flaw with these types of characters. They constantly rail about how THEIR plan is going to be in everyone's best interest, but if you asked them what they would DO if they actually got what they wanted...they wouldn't be able to give you an answer. It's like all those 80s cartoon villains who all want to take over the world, but have absolutely NO idea what they would do with the world if they HAD it.
      I mean, that's kind of pathetic, when you really think about it, right? These narcissistic anime megalomaniacs, who all dream and scheme above their station, and yet, you could SHATTER their ENTIRE ambition with just three simple words...

    Bayo 3 is a lousy and horrible game, from the way it is organised, timed wasted, the human resources wasted , the director are stupid to both design and develop the game. We wait 8 years from Bayo2 and Bayo 1 (bayo2 is the best game of all three). If bayo 3 is the strongest why she can only summon 2 hell monsters (the design of Madama Butterfly is horribly old), secondly she can't meet Aesir because Bayo 2 and 1 have dealt and she's in a timeline her father died because of Bayo 1 ( Aesir was defeated by Bayo2 ) She just grew up unsealed without facing any challenges not to mention Sigurd being a freak and why is stronger than Aesir? And where is Loki? Where are the angels from Paradiso ? And Rodin just watched and didn't help? Jeane died in a costume designed can’t be more hideous after Bayo 1 she was a Umbran princess , Bayo 2 she was a girl who summoned Gamora to chew on Loptr's corpse and then died by a lightsaber? The character's personality in the game is severely lacking and blank by a stupid Naruto script (wtf is Viola ,she just a child from an unknown Bayo and then she become the next Bayo4? ), despite we are in 2022 but the game development are trash and terrible in graphics and very lag, the character's face design is ugly and pale, compared to DMC5 it loses in all aspects, (not even being play by real actor and character personal story )the plot and psychology are lacking and Bayonetta is also famous for its own uniqueness that is not just stuffing in and following popular things like the Multiverse( they all die ) or the Godzilla version that pulls her heart more than a dozen times just to summon. To sum up, I would like to put this Game in the trash and burn it, wasting time and money and showing the downfall as well as the superficiality of money greed from the Head of Platinum company. • @YungFalcon
      @YungFalcon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Half-right imo, ports of Wii U and 360 games with better artsyles will shockingly look better and run better. But we ain't talking about ports are we? 75% of switch titles look crusty with no anti alliasing have terrible framerstes that never go above 30FPS and are hard carried by great artstyles that are held back by aging hardware. XBC3/2/1 .y fav game series of all time looks like garbage in portable mode minus kind of 3rd entry. Mario Odyssey runs and looks great but still has a AA issue and dynamic res in portable is rough. The Pokemon games are dreadful, I'll give you Mario kart 8 but oh right that's a Wii U title ported over... Mario party looks fine new Pikmin sure looks good. The fire emblem games as much as I love them have truly the ugliest textures on switch and a AA issue. And these our just my gripes with first party third party titles vary from ugly but passable because "it's portable" to straight up UNPLAYABLE because it's resolution or frame rate or both is so low! Personally as a Nintendo fan I just want my console to look and do better considering I paid good money for it and Nintendo refuses to optimize most of their first party lineup. The blame ain't on Platinum this time it's on Nintendo's ageing hardware.

    • @Akubyo
      @Akubyo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YungFalcon None of that explains how it's Nintendo or the Switch's fault. The fact that there are exceptions to those in the first place, not only within your own examples but outside of it as well such as Smash Ultimate, Mario Strikers and Splatoon 3 just to name a few, goes to show that it is possible for games outside of ports from older systems to look and run great. I'm a Nintendo fan as well (more than I'd like to admit at times), and I definitely agree that we deserve better than what we have, especially when this hardware is what we'll still be dealing with for years to come. But despite deserving much better, what we have was shown to be enough for devs to work with and optimize to the best of their ability not only in the past but to this present day. At that point, it's up to the developers to decide whether they want to put in that extra effort to do so, or take shortcuts to sacrifice either resolution or framerate in favor of the other (which alone isn't a bad thing either since games on the Switch still look great at 30 fps or 720p.)

    • @YungFalcon
      @YungFalcon  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I did explain how it's Nintendo's fault it's implied but I'll be a bit more thorough with my explanation. Nintendo manufactures the switch. The switch uses a graphics chip called the Tegra X1 which is based on Android architecture from nivida a.k.a a mobile chipset. It's already weaker than the Xbox one and PS4 along with it being weaker than the series X/S and ps5. It's borderline more powerful than the Wii u by a slim margin. I'm not talking about games looking pretty that's debatable. You said Mario strikers (lmao remember when GameCube had 60fps special moves?) I think that game highlights all my issues with the switch! mediocre artstyle, 60fps gameplay unless you super shot or score which cuts it to 30fps making certain players like me nauseous, lack of creative fields, and anti alliasing all for that sweet 60fps. It's a mess. It's compromises that would not exist on other hardware. Splatoon 3 yeah 60fps is great but still based on wii U code which once again means no AA, small maps to compensate for draw distance, aside from that no crazy flaws but again not really groundbreaking graphically or artistically. Don't get me started with the Kirby games refusal to hit 60fps until RETURN TO DREAMLAND untop of the games suffering again no AA and frame drops during super attacks stuff that didn't exist prior to switch. The list keeps going with the compromises first party games must take to support the ageing hardware that's the switch. In what world at that point do you think it's PLATINUMS FAULT for making the next entry in their bombastic, explosive cutscene heavy franchise not run well? Let it rock at 30fps like astral chain!? Scaleback QTEs and setpieces for the sake of having what more 60fps moments? Turn on aggressive dynamic res so players can't see "but at least it's 60!" Im basically saying fine if you think first party switch artsyles are good that's awesome I agree no one's denying that. But I'm talking about what's actually in the games. Not the artstyle and in games there's a slew of graphically hang ups and issues due to Nintendo using outdated hardware. I don't think text is the conversation for this btw cause there's so much to unpack with both POVs but I'm hoping you see my angle.

    • @Akubyo
      @Akubyo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh for sure, even with the disagreement I definitely understand where you're coming from and see truth in what you're saying. Even for a handheld hybrid, the Switch could be much better than it is, and its current state makes it harder for games to reach their full potential without sacrifices. But yeah there is a lot to unpack from both sides that's hard to do with text so I'm ok with just agreeing to disagree.

    I'm gonna copy-paste the comment I left on Chasertechs video expressing how feel about the game. Lol
    Here's my way too long comment.👇
    As someone who isnt bothered by the story at all, I honestly think this game is the best entry so far. I mean, dont get me wrong, I'm attached to the characters, I do love them, but I dont really care what happens to them in the story tbh. I just like hearing them talk, and do shit in cutscenes, and be flirty and wacky. Lol But that's just me.
    Everything else lived up to my expectations, the combat is far more exceptional than ever, we got so many new weapons that are all fun to use,(except for G-Pillar, I dont like that one)Demon Slave is cool to experiment with, and is a pleasant new mechanic, the music is sick af, the movement felt fluid, and most of the enemies were fun to fight. There were some stinkers with the enemies, but overall I enjoyed fighting them.
    I'm still getting the hang of Viola tho. Shes tricky to play with, but satisfying to use once I start getting into her flow. Block offset is fun as hell to pull off when I can do it consistently. I still prefer Bayo tho.
    The level design tho can be very annoying when trying to find all the secrets and collectables, because everything is so open, and big, but I also like it at the same time because it's such a joy to run, fly, and swing around all these open spaces swiftly while in Demon Masquerade. The traversing in this game is surprisingly enjoyable. If Platinum made a platformer game with this type of swift traversing I would play it in a heartbeat ngl.
    Also, I know a lot of people aren't fond of the arcade-y/mini-game sections, like the Jeanne chapters, the Kaiju fights etc, etc, but as a PlatinumGames fan, I was actually looking forward to them. Lol
    Whenever I play a PlatinumGames game I always go into it with the mindset of "get ready to play some wacky arcade shit" and I fucking love them.
    They're so damn goofy, and silly, and just pure arcade fun. They also serve as a nice palette cleanser from all the constant frantic action, at least for me.
    These mini-games were also actually enjoyable, unlike the bike section that goes on for way too long, the grating Angel Attack sections after you complete any chapter, and the nauseating Space Harrier section in Bayo 1.
    I dont remember any mini-games in Bayo 2 other than the horse-riding section(which is literally just the bike section from 1 but you can now attack better)or the not nauseating, but more boring, Space Harrier section. So yeah, I actually really enjoy the mini-games, and stages in Bayo 3. Lol However I, totally understand why people dont like them, especially the Kaiju fights, because they can be pretty slow.
    But yeah, those are my thoughts on Bayo 3, and why I think it's the best entry. Didn't think my comment would be this long.
    Currently on my second playthrough, and enjoying every minute of it, maybe my feelings will change the more I stick with it, but for now I'm loving it. 9/10
    I do wish it looked better tho, and had a consistent frame rate. Shame that its chained to such weak hardware on the Switch.

      @@YungFalcon Pure Platinum is pretty easy in Bayo 3, so I'm partly thankful. The game saves your best score on each verse, plus you can retry from checkpoints. As long as you get Pure Platinum once in a verse, that's there forever... But it also has no penalties for using items that I know, so you can kinda just spam lollipops and win. Not to mention a certain glitch with a post-game demon trivializes most verses...
